Steins Gate 0 – The unknown story we needed

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. Don’t blame me for this one. I didn’t even know this existed until very recently. Heavy SPOILERS FOR THE ORGINAL STEINS GATE.

The story of Stein’s Gate 0 is a bit complex to explain. At Episode 23, the point where Okabe heads into the future to save Makise Kurisu, fails and then comes back. That very point had two possible outcomes. A deciding moment in the strings of time. Episode 23 (beta) divergence, shows Mayuri defending Okarin instead of slapping him. This deciding moment is what is called the ‘Death of Houin Kyuoma.’ As Okabe decides to stop messing around with time leaping and D-mail and simply become a normal college student. His life is peaceful as he gives up the labcoat and instead takes to wearing a black suit. He is reminded of his past again when a professor from the college where Makise Kurisu studied at comes to give a seminar on a new AI system Amadeus, which can act as human by using memories of humans converted into data. The thing that connects it to Okabe is that they have made an Amadeus AI of Makise Kurisu. As the wheel of fate turns once again, Okabe struggles against new enemies to protect his friends once again.

It’s a pleasure to see old characters coming back but in a new light, our hero Okabe Rintaro wants nothing to do with time machines anymore and yet the strings of fate pull him back in making him have to battle once again. It’s heartbreaking to watch him relieve his past experiences of fighting against the same outcome over and over again and yet he grows stronger each time. There’s Mayuri and Daru, while Mayuri still retains her cheerful personality, things get dark pretty quick and she too tried to figure out why Okabe is sad and tries to heal him, my favorite super hacker on the other hand remains largely unchanged, he’s kind and gentle as always and still perverted. Ruka, Faris and Suzuha show up as well and new characters are also introduced such as the eccentric and fun loving Professor Leskinen who was Kurisu’s professor and Maho who was Kurisu’s senior and has a complex about being inferior to her. All these characters share their own little arcs even Rukako and that too across world lines and that is what makes Steins Gate 0 a memorable experience.

The anime shines in keeping the dark and gritty theme that is much different from the original Steins Gate. This time Okabe wears a dark suit and more of the scenes are shot in the night or in shadows during the day to really give it the dark vibe that the World Line has which is that this World Line which we see will actually be the World Line that leads to World War 3 and while Okabe tried living a peaceful life and we do see some fun moments and light fun they are overshadowed by the constant pain and suffering that Okabe has to go through only this time he is much more despair than before and I bet his suffering will bring you to tears as well. And Steins Gate 0 does what Steins Gate does best, to tell a complex story with such skill that not even one second of screen time is for something useless, it all adds up. The symbolism is also seriously well done with the shifting of Okabe wearing Black showing that he is lying to himself while the white represented that he was true to himself. There’s also the story of Salieri and Mozart also playing a good role as an analogy for the viewer.

The lesson you could draw from this part of Okabe’s journey is that no one can become God, as Okabe himself says that time is a creation of God, a system that they must not mess around with or they will pay the price dearly, there is another person who seeks desperately after the Time Machine to become God and reshape the world as he sees fit. The end of the show also makes Okabe realize that the complexities that he has to go through, the pain and suffering, its all a part of God’s bigger plan and all he has to do is believe and do is duty and not run away. In life, we too are running away and what we need to do is to stand out ground and play our part and believe that we will get the outcome that we deserve. We will all open the Steins Gate someday.

Now the big question that I had before watching the show as well, “Why should I watch this when Steins Gate is a perfectly constructed story in and of itself ?” Well then let me tell you, you all must remember that Okabe received a video from his future self at the end of Episode 23. The Okabe in that video, this is his journey filled with more miseries and sorrows. This is the untold story that makes things make even more sense than before and the best part is that we get to watch the Death and rebirth of Houin Kyouma. With that settled, Steins Gate 0 is a much watch for every Steins Gate fan. See the pain and suffering that had to happen in order for the Steins Gate to open.

Mad scientist I was out there playing with time,
Wanted to see the limits I kept up the my climb,
Now that mistakes are made I see that I’m,
Not as great as I used to be I’ve commited a crime.

I thought I was doing good and changing the system,
I thought that I was the good guy saving the victim,
I realize God’s will realize that I can’t resist him,
Now that new threats arrive I’ll use this wisdom.

I’m not the man I used to be but I’ll never give up,
My tears will being results like it’s collected in a cup,
This isn’t the finale this is just a little bump,
I’m gonna make it to the Steins Gate yup.

I’m armed with my knowledge I’m the mad scientist,
Houin Kyouma rises to rule with an iron fist,
Of my enemies I’m gonna clear up the entire list,
In order to reach Steins Gate this challenge is the finalist.

Talking to Strangers – A guide on our mistakes

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I’m always looking to grow, always looking to learn and man this book has a hell of a lot to teach.

Biases, we all have biases against people and I don’t think that there’s a single person in the world who is non biased towards everything and that is the truth. Now let’s say that we all have a bias, most of us sharing a common bias, what’s that ? It’s what Malcom in the book calls, ‘Default to truth.’

The book gives accounts of different cases which on first glance seem plain and simple because we are viewing them from an outsider’s perspective. To us, the people in the cases are strangers and that is what those people are to each other as well, strangers. The prime case of this being Sandra Bland (yup, it’s that case.) And Malcom explains very well how, because these people are strangers to each other and are in their situations because they either default to truth or don’t. The problem that Malcom so well highlights is that we are conditioned to think in certain ways and that is what causes us to read other people’s actions wrong and that is why these problems occur.

Now for the two cases that I want to talk about from this book, like I always do, the two cases that fascinated me the most. The first is the case of Sandra Bland but I cannot talk about that because the entire book is about decoding that case. So the two that I am going to talk about are the Kansas city policing experiment and the interrogation of KSM. The first case was fairly simple, Kansas city wanted to reduce crime and the best way to do that they thought was to increase the number of police officers on the streets, that did not work so what did they do instead ? They tried ‘coupling’ that is to increase the number of police officers on patrol and the number of people they pulled over in a neighborhood where crime is concentrated. The result. Decrease in crime. Why ? Because instead of running around the entire city and searching for a crime, the police are in a place where the crime is more likely to take place and they can stop it before it happens. Simply increasing the force didn’t matter, they needed to know where to deploy this force. This teaches us about human behavior as well, coupling is a very real thing, it’s what you would call ‘clicking’ with someone and when this coupling is mismatched, things go very wrong, very fast.

The second case, the interrogation of KSM teaches about interrogation techniques, that is sleep deprivation and slamming people against sound mats. While this brutal technique might seem effective, a research proved that it can distort memories and make people so in despair that they would confess to any crime as long as they got the torture to stop. This is what they believed had happened with KSM who confessed to acts of terrorism that he didn’t even commit. That goes to show that what we know about the human mind is very little and while ‘Stop at nothing’ to get the information out sounds very effective, in reality it might not be.

The book speaks about how we as a world and as different cultures just suck, simply suck at reading people. We’re always off on our reading, whether it is, a police officer trying to read a potential suspect in a murder investigation or two students at a college frat party trying to understand how far the other wants to go in the hypersexualized chaos of the frat party. Malcom offers a few solutions to these problems, the dilemma that we face, whether to suspect every stranger or to trust everyone and by explaining the bad things that can happen when we tip too much to either of the sides is when accidents happen.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Lookism: From discrimination to gangs

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. My cousin recommended this to me and I was putting this off because of the chapters but man, this can get you hooked. As of writing this, Workers (3 affiliates) (16) Episode 345 is the latest chapter. SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST FEW CHAPTERS AND A BIT OF THE PLOT AHEAD.

The story is really complex and long. It’s more than 300 episodes, what did you expect ? Well anyway, Daniel Park, he’s a fat, short and ugly guy who is constantly bullies by his classmates Logan Lee. Desperate to get away from his life of constant bullying, Daniel asks his mom to change schools. Daniel shifts away and starts living alone in Seoul and dreads going to school fearing that he’ll be bullied again. He sleeps that night onky to wake up in a much more handsome and fit body. He finds that he can switch his consciousness between two bodies. Daniel decides to go to school in his new body and with that begins his adventure at J-High. While at first Daniel realizes how much his new body can change things for him because he’s much more handsome and strong now. He also learns that his new body has a past of its own and in wanting to know the body’s truth he goes up against a sinister group and a plot which runs so deep that it will pull him into the parts of Seoul that are best left untouched.

The characters are diverse and have well fleshed out back stories and when I mean well fleshed out I mean that some of them get more than 10 episodes for their stories. More than 10. There’s boxer Zach Lee who is at first seen as just a measure of showing how good Daniel’s new body is but when he gets serious he can bring some pain, he’s an ally to Daniel and works with him for his own reason. There’s Vasco who is the leader of the crew Burn Knuckles in the school, he’s an airhead and wants to punish the bag guys. There’s Mira who is Zach’s love interest, Jace, second in command to Vasco. The quiet blonde boy Jay who obviously has a thing for Daniel and helps him out. There’s many, many, many other charatcers who are of extreme significance to the story and are interesting to watch.

The manhwa flourishes in its first half of showing how people discriminate on the basis of looks. An example of this is when Daniel goes to a store with his mother to buy clothes. While he is rejected as poor in his original body, when he comes in his new body he is respected. The second half of the manhwa which focuses on the secret of Daniel’s new body has tons of amazing fights. While that’s a plus point of lookism, for the people who came to see Daniel living the life of a slice of life comedy hero while dealing with the discrimination and insecurities, are disappointed simply because the first half of the manhwa simply served to set up the second half of the story which is all about fighting, gangs and elaborate plans. So beware while the first part is all about happiness and Daniel’s life, the second half is about fighting and while it still touches on dark themes, the story becomes so complex that even Daniel recieves very less screentime. The Webtoon has some amazinf comedy with throwbacks to DBZ, the File of Young Kindaichi and even Demon Slayer.

The lesson I pulled is from the first half of the manhwa is obviously don’t judge people based on looks, Daniel is treated very differently in both of his bodies and that just goes to show how much peoole discriminate on the basis of looks, so much so that they won’t even recognise if the same person came infront of them in a different body. This body is just a covering for our soul and so judging based on that is simply not right, the same goes for animal cruelty, animals just have a different body than us but they are souls on the inside too.

The manhwa is currently ongoing and it’s going strong. The fights are amazing, the intensity will give you chills and while I was the guy who enjoyed both the discrimination part and the fight part is the manhwa some people might not so I’ll give you a piece of advice, if you don’t like fights and are here for the message on discrimination based on looks then you should drop the Webtoon when the Four Crews arc starts and if you’re here for the fights then it’s worth sitting through the Episodes on discrimination since they really set up the plot well. With all that said, Lookism is an absolute must read for people who want to know about the social issues of discrimination but are excited about fights as well. The buildup is slow but the story that comes after is much worth it.

Rap section:

High school days they’re not exactly easy,
Fatty Daniel Park his bully makes him uneasy,
Getting punched paying up all to a guy sleazy,
One punch to the stomach and he feels wheezy.

Running away from the school he wants a new life,
Whether to go or not his insecurity bring him strife,
In his useless life he has problems rife,
Little does he know that a storm is gonna arrive.

He goes to sleep fat and wakes up handsome,
Sees his own self sleeping like he’s seeing a phantom,
At first glance this new body seems like luck random,
But little does he know that more things are moving in tandem.

In his new body he’s making some new friends,
Getting famous he’ll take any job on the pay it depends,
But little does he know this his secret extends,
Much deeper than he thinks and much more than he comprehends.

BTOOOM! – An Explosive story

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I thought this was another Mirai Nikki clone but man, this is some good stuff. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE ONE AHEAD. SPOILERS.

The story is about a NEET Sakomoto Ryouta living with his mother Yukie. Being a good gamer since he spends all his time playing games, Sakomoto is the top player in Japan and one of the top ten players in the entire world. Unlike most battle royale games, Btooom! works a different way, instead of guns, the players are given bombs of different types to use as they see fit for the game. One day Sakomoto finds himself in a jungle, with a chip implanted in his right hand and having no memory of how he got there. He finds that all he has is a pouch and his bag, the pouch containing bombs used in BTOOOM! Sakomoto soon finds out that he is on an island and that other people are with him on the island who are using different kinds of bombs all used in the BTOOOM! game. Now having to fight against opponents in a real life game of BTOOOM!, Sakomoto needs to finds out how he got the island and why he was selected while making alliances and dealing with treachery in a game where the only way to go home is to kill.

The characters introduced to us are wide and well written with every character having a good backstory and motivations for why they want to go home while also having the darkness within them that sent them to the island in the first place. Our NEET dropout Sakomoto Ryouta is the main character and one whom you’ll either love at first glance and be a fan throughout or you’ll hate him first and then become his fan as you see him progress in game. Yes he is a barely likeable character at first but as he grows he becomes much more likable not to mention his battle genius is something that will leave you in awe. There’s Himiko who shares a previous connection with Sakomoto from BTOOOM! and considers that she has come to the island due to her sin, her character arc is all about forgiveness of the self which is not discussed much (Maybe it will in the manga, I’ll have to see). There’s Taira who is anxious and afraid of being left behind, Kira (not the Death Note one) who is a psychopath and really dangerous. The show only focuses on few characters with most dying fairly early on but everyone gets a nice backstory and that’s amazing.

The anime shines in its combat no questions asked. The sheer intensity of every battle, the strategies, the lies and deception will all make you sit at the edge of your seat. Even though I thought that combat would be boring due to the use of only bombs but the way the different bombs are used by different people in creative ways is amazing to watch. There’s nice music as well because the opening and ending is something you won’t skip, there’s also this great sense of mystery about what is truly going on and while it gets lost sometimes in the character relationships and action, it’s always a major plot point and very well done.

The anime is really about survival, would you kill others if it meant survival ? or would you stick to your morals even at the cost of your own life ? That is what Btooom is about in a broad sense, while there are people like Sakomoto who play the game anyway hoping that they’re fighting against the ‘bad guys’ he too needs to decide between morals and survival at a point in the story, there’s also others who want to stick to morals but end up killing anyway because they have to survive, they succumb to their baser human instinct. The lesson that you can pull from this is that its easy to have morals when it’s not hard and everything is easy sailing but when things get tough and you have to make the choice, we must learn to not give in to despair and compromise our morals like Sakomoto did at the end of the anime. ‘We train ourselves in times of peace so that we can be sane in the times of war’ is a simple quote to sum it up.

The finale is amazingly well done, it’s a nice battle where strategies and wits come into play but the real reason that it is so hard hitting is that its emotional, (I won’t spoil anything more with my big mouth). It’s a nice finale that leaves you craving for more which actually applies to the entire 12 episode anime which means that I’ most likely going to jump into the manga so, stay on the lookout for a manga review post.

Rap section:

NEET Sakomoto playing games all damn day,
When asked to get a job he just says stay away,
He’s been a leech too long now he has to pay,
Now in the real world this game he has to play.

Ain’t no normal game you gotta use bombs,
You gotta play the game even if you got qualms,
Doesn’t matter who it is commner or crime dons,
You have to kill people with the bombs in your palms.

Sakomoto making friends tryna get out alive,
Teaming up with others just to survive,
Trapped too far out no help’s gonna arrive,
Now forced to kill will he choose or decline.

People are traitors he can’t just assume,
Who’s friend and who’s foe the doubt us gonna consume,
And if he makes the wrong choice he’s destined for doom,
Welcome to the game this is called BTOOOM!

Paranoia Agent: Scary and psychological

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I’ve heard that this show is banned in some places and that only intrigued me more to see this. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1.

The show starts off with Tsukiko Sagi, a young and successful designer who made the suoerhit design of Maromi, a dog like character which made her famous all over Japan. She is under pressure to make another design that can be a hit so that her company can keep growing as can she. As the deadline grows nearer she becomes more and more anxious of not being able to create, one night as she walks home she encounters an old, short, homeless woman who seemingly disappears from Sagi’s sight. Sagi keeps walking home when she feels someone behind her, a young boy on golden inline skates comes towards her with a twisted golden baseball bat and hits her on the head. Her story, is not believed by the police at first but when similar attacks begin occuring and the attacker now dubbed, ‘Shonen Bat’ (Lil’ Slugger in the English dub) becomes increasingly feared, the lives of people change as they deal with their own dark secrets and the truth about Shonen bat starts coming to light.

The show switches our point of view to different characters and their own stories as they deal with their secrets and darkness. There’s out main character, Sagi who is a bit of an airhead and the creator of the show’s events. There’s the police detectives, Chief Ikari and Maniwa both of whom work hard on the case to figure out the mystery of Shonen Bat, there’s other victims as well such as a trio of a young man, an old man and a little girl all of whom wish for Shonen Bat to come. Everything from corrupt police officers to simple teachers, everyone has secrets in the show and when those secrets push them to the edge, the people feel cornered and that empowers Shonen Bat. The characters are well written with each one having good motivations driving them and their intertwined stories are good as well because even if the point of view is switched we get to know about the other characters as the story only moves forward.

The show shines in showing us things from different perspectives and how mass mentality really feeds the growth of fear in the world. The only reason Shonen Bat’s attacks get more frequent is because people talk about him all the time and begin fearing him, this gives him power to grow and commit his acts of violence even more which leads to more fear and paranoia of the people and in turn more power for Shonen Bat, this never ending cycle is what is supposed to be shown by the show along with other things.

The show deals with guilt and pushing responsibility on others as well as living in false pleasure and comfort. Everyone who is attacked by Shonen Bat is shown to be running from some sort of guilt by pushing it on someone else, in fact this very thing is the reason for the origin of Shonen Bat (I won’t reveal anymore or it’ll get boring). As for living in false comfort that is what everyone in the show wants, to not have responsibility for their actions and instead live in comfort. Humans are like that too, this perfect showing of our psychology is why I loved this show, we all want comfort but we fail to realize that what we’re chasing after is really false comfort and pleasure.

The ending of the show is really satisfying and twisted because by the time we come around to the end, the line between fact and fiction blurs so much that even as a viewer you can’t discriminate between them. But the end has a twist which deals with everything that has been happening in the show and is loyal to the show’s themes. A must watch for everyone who loves something psychological and mildly scary, Paranoia agent is really good.

Rap section:

Take it to Tokyo with a famous designer,
Making headlines is a small dog by her,
Pressured by the company to aim higher,
Attacked in the night by a kid behind her.

Few more people down and now spreads paranoia,
About the attacked with skates this boy’s a,
Master at his work even detectives need to employ a,
New strategy because to his he’s just that loyal.

He’s gonna come after you if you hide your secret,
So much that it makes you have paranoia frequent,
It’s not gonna work no matter how much you sneak it,
He’s gonna come after you when you’re at your weakest.

You can’t hide from him it’s just a fact that,
When he comes around he’ll lay you out flat,
No matter who tries they can’t escape this brat,
This new Paranoia Agent known as Shonen Bat.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Chainsaw Man – Thrilling and Depressing

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Read this at your own risk, it’s got good action but it’s sad, depends on how you look at it but it’s sad. SPOILERS. I want to talk a lot about this so SPOILERS.

The story is amazingly written. It follows Denji, a poor boy, like poor poor, sell your body parts poor. He makes friends with a Chainsaw Devil and takes up the job of devil hunting to get out of his debt, he works hard and makes cash but that’s not paying his bills enough, so you can understand just how much damn debt this boy (yeah he’s 16) is in. He’s attacked by a zombie devil and fights it off but even he can’t survive against a horde so he dies (AOT vibes anyone ? Maybe this is going to become a new formula). His devil Pochita becomes his heart, according to a previous promise that they had made and thus Chainsaw Man is born. Denji is taken in by Public Security Devil Hunter Makima who puts him in a squad of eccentrics to hint devils. Denji just wants simple things in life, good food three times a day, a roof over his head and to touch some boobs but behind the scenes some sinister plot runs that involves the devils, the hunters and the most pivotal part of the plot, the Chainsaw Man himself.

The characters are something you shouldn’t get attached to, (notice how I used things there.) That’s because they’re going to die pretty quick, yeah this anime has a lot of gore but anyways, the characters are well written like Denji, the poor boy who just wants to live the simple life with three square meals a day, yet he’s also the main part in a conspiracy that’s too big for any person to wrap their head around (yeah this is the type of story where you’re going to watch the ‘plot explained’ videos on YouTube after finishing it.) Anyways, his simplistic ways make for great comedy and also show us that he’s just that big of an idiot that he doesn’t understand the power dynamics of the world and the consequences of what he’s doing. I don’t want to spoil other characters here because they’re so pivotal to the story because the less you know going in, the more enjoyment you get. Even the short lived characters are amazingly written with their motivations made clear and their deaths feeling impactful by showing how it affects the others.

The strong point of this manga is the story, yeah it’s got an amazing storyline filled wkth twists and turns but more than that, this manga is pretty damn well paced, I mean I wouldn’t know because I read it in like 3 days but the constant comedy that comes with Denji’s stupidness, horniness or anything else is just lovable and the moments that these characters spend together show so much of their bond and impact of their deaths. The plot isn’t all killing devils, it’s an amazingly written plot on a very, very large scale and the most important thing is, it’s only the first part. 97 chapters, and it’s just one part. This story filled with twists and turns will make you want for more.

The lesson that you can pull from this manga is very deep, the first is the simple one that is appreciate the simple things in life. Denji is poor and he’s happy with just three square meals a day, the basic necessities of life is what he likes and that’s what we need to appreciate. The second more deeper lesson is about the miseries of life, someone in the plot tries to destroy the basic four miseries of life but it doesn’t work proving that in this world you can’t destory the miseries.

The manga has just finished with only 97 chapters so it’s worth a read before the anime comes out and this is only the beginning. Just arc one and the ending h. In a story filled with excitement and twists and turns and damn good action and gore which is going to make you want more of the story. I recommend this to everyone who can stomach a good bit of gore and a good bit of depression. I wasn’t that much effected by either so I really really loved the story.

Rap section:

Secluded countryside a boy who’s damn poor,
Struggling to make cash but he doesn’t dream of grandeur,
Don’t got big dreams don’t want to wear velour,
Because all he’s looking for is a Mi Amor.

One accident and now he’s got blades in his body,
Cutting up people he’s doing a job shoddy,
He’s got chainsaws spinning like a Maserati,
He just wants a simple life notning godly.

Making friends and now he’s taking down devils,
For the people he’s like a gift from the heavens,
No matter how strong every matter he settles,
Putting his life on the line and he still doesn’t get medals.

Always rushing in he never makes a plan,
But he doesn’t know that behind the scenes began,
A plan that’s greater than him and even Japan,
This is the story of the Chainsaw Man.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Vivy Flourite Eye’s Song – Thrilling and emotional

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. This was an absolute epic watch. I highly recommend it, before even writing a review, I just highly recommend it. Mild SPOILERS AHEAD.

The story of Vivy is set in a futuristic world where AIs are highly developed and serve a single mission to which they dedicate their lives to. All of a sudden and all at once, a war breaks out between humans and AIs in which the AIs massacre humans. A scientist creates a program and sends it back in time, to the sole AI which is still functional after 100 years, to Diva, a songstress AI who was the first autonomous AI and was given the mission to make people happy with her singing. The program, calling himself Matsumoto, comes into contact with Diva and tells her of the plan to help the humans, the project to save humans from being killed by AI, is called the Singlularity Project and is supposed to see, Diva and Matsumoto, change specific events in history that caused AI to advances too far. Though initially reluctant, Diva takes on the project and works with Matsumoto, going on a journey spanning a 100 years that changes Diva and allows her to get the answer to the question, ‘What does it mean to pour your heart into something.’

The story is split into different arcs and because of it, we get to see a wide variety of characters and even a few recurring ones. Out MC is Diva, the songstress AI who wants to know what a heart is. Throughout the show, she goes through a lot of development which are brought about by both, positive and negative incidents. This development is what plays a significant part in the show. While at first she is more robot-like, Diva eventually learns what emotions are and learns what a heart is. Matsumoto, the support AI who has come from the future, is a quirky personality who is fun to have on screen he is almost always at odds with and butting heads with Diva. There are numerous other characters who I wish to talk about but talking any further about any of the characters or their developments will mean spoiling the story and I do not want to do that since I want everyone to experience the story in the best way possible.

The anime has beautiful animation that will make you fall in love and I am not exaggerating, each and every scene is extremely beautiful and a delight to watch. While that deserves its praise, the main attraction of Vivy is the constant twists in its story. Just as one arc finishes and you fall into a sense of security that it’ll be alright, a new threat approaches and the thrill begins anew, the story twists are also mind-blowing and completely unpredictable unless you’re paying very close attention and think real hard about it. The thrilling action is also one of the good things about Vivy, each and every action scene, every fight, has the right music (since songs play a big part in this show), the right choreography and is simply elegantly made if I am to describe it briefly. The OP and ED are amazing, I especially loved the OP and the other songs in the show are amazing as well since this show makes use of songs a lot. While there are numerous good things to talk about with Vivy, there is one bad thing and that is with the time gap between the arcs, sometimes it feels like there’s something missing and I get that since episodes only have 23 minutes, its hard to fit everything in there but it gets a little confusing at times.

The anime teaches a very deep lesson, ‘Experiences shape you to become who you are.’ We see our MC go through that, as she is very different in the ending than she is at the start but she still holds onto her mission, to make everyone happy with her singing. This shows that we too as humans, need to experience new things, keep an open mind and learn new things while staying true to our mission, to the thing that we have originally set out to do, no matter what it may be. That is one of the various things that Vivy teaches us, aside from things like ‘What is a heart.’ among other things.

The final episode is deeply emotional, it will make you cry like it made me cry. It was amazing, the music, the emotions, the scenes, the animation, it felt like a masterpiece coming together. The thrill and the emotions certainly make Vivy an anime that will give you goosebumps at the fight scenes, leave you in awe of the beauty of the anime and make you cry at the deeply emotional moments. I recommend Vivy to everyone, as a breath of fresh air from the futuristic dystopia trope, as something truly unique that I believe will inspire many other anime.

Kaiju No.8 – A thrilling adventure that has much to offer

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. So I found out about this from Twitter and I was instantly impressed by the premise and the cover page, it took a while but I finally got down to reading it and it was really fun. I’m going to keep this as spoiler free as possible and with that let us jump in.

The story starts off by telling us about ‘Kaijus’ also referred to as ‘monsters’. These are Godzilla like beings which are insanely powerful and have terrorised humanity for a very long time. To fight these monsters humanity has adapted by making suits out of monster muscle fibres as well as making weapons out of strong, a cut above the rest, numbered monsters. In this world, Kafka Hibino works as a disposal unit member whose job is to clean up the corpses of Kaijus once the force is done killing them. Kafka was once an aspiring defence force member alongside his childhood friend Mina Ashiro however Mina has made it to the commander rank of Unit 3 while Kafka is stuck cleaning corpses. One day a monster enters Kafka’s mouth and transforms him into a monster, this monster who is insanely strong is given the status of a numbered monster, Monster No.8. As Kefka struggles with his new powers and aspires to fulfill his dream of standing beside Mina, he also needs to fight the threat of the monsters who have suddenly increased in number and are getting stronger. I know it sounds a lot like AOT and Chainsaw Man but I assure you, till now, it’s been carving its own path.

The characters are simple in this anime, their personalities are established early on and they stick to them while growing through their vulnerabilities. There’s our main hero Kefka who is lesding a miserable life and wants to be a member of the Defence Corps but can’t and after he gains his powers and becomes Monster No.8 he has a shot but still stays true to his goal of standing beside Mina. There’s Mina herself who is a badass commander and also a character I would like to see more of, one of the strongest characters introduced uptill now she provides a valueable benchmark for Kefka to reach. There’s also Kefka’s own fellow members of the troops who all have their own personalities and motivations for joining the team and still manage to work together.

The manga really knows how to do it’s comedy, you’ll often be rolling about after a seriously intense scene which will brighten up your mood. The art is also very beautiful and very well done, so much so that sometimes you’ll pause when there’s a scene of a big monster and just appreciate the effort that went into drawing it. There’s also the great action that is super intense but the big thing that makes Kaiju No.8 worth a read is its engaging story. Currently the story is at Chapter 46 and in this short amount of time it has introduced characters and established a plot which I am deeply engrossed in. The new monsters, the reason why Kefka has his powers, everything is a mystery which needs to be solved. The one complaint I have is that it’s too similar to AOT and Chainsaw Man at times but I guess that’s just the trope that this kind is series falls into, I really think that Kaiju No.8 is carving its own path and that it should keep doing so.

The lesson I managed to pull from this gruesome series is that it’s never too late to push forward for your dreams. Kefka is the worst performer at the exam and is almost sure to lose but still he shows strength and courage and tried to do whatever he can. Even in the battlefield he uses his skills as a disposal man by poiting out enemy weak spots showing that he isn’t going to give up and will do everything possible to rise the ranks and stand beside Mina.

The manga is currently at 46 chapters and the story is getting heated up with lots of new characters being introduced and I feel that the mystery of the new monsters will also be soon addressed and become a major plot point, Kefka’s powers will be explained as well I believe. Right now is a good time to jump into Kaiju No.8 since it has a short story and will have you completely engrossed and waiting for more chapters.

Rap section:

Monsters all around our world has changed now,
Defense corps fighting them people go wow,
But among all this a man doesn’t know how,
He became a Kaiju who upon him these powers did endow ?

Now he’s gaining strength gaining fame among the corps,
One punch to the ground and he’ll shatter the floor,
Monsters coming after him and even the defence force can’t ignore,
His monstrohs strength cause it’s the time for war.

Kefka is the name and he’s got his own goal,
Doesn’t want no fame doesn’t want control,
To stand beside his old friend he wants that role,
Don’t let the monster take over he’s got a pure soul.

When the monster comes out the power is great,
One punch and he’s putting all other Kaijus straight,
Was this all planned or is this willed by fate ?
This ain’t your ordinary superhero this is Kaiju No. 8.

The Spiritual Brain: A strong case against materialists

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I absolutely love anything about the brain and also spirituality and this book combines the two so of course I’d give it a read. Let’s get into The Spiritual Brain.

The human mind is such an interesting thing. I love reading about psychology and things like that but most of the books on the ‘mind’ actually focus on the ‘brain’. While I do believe that the brain is important, the mind is important as well and that is proven well in this book by giving us an account of how materialist scientists try to disprove the ‘mind’ by talking more about the brain.

The book focuses more on accounts and research from around the world which focuses on disproving many different things like mystical experiences, God and even the mind itself. While I have always, always laughed at such theories, I loved the way this book teaches us about the theory in detail and then completely smashes it with the help of logic and newer studies combined with simple basic common sense. The book aims to show us that while the materialist scientists are indeed doing great by studying the brain but by denying the mind they are harming their potential.

The theory that I found the most ridiculous that the book discussed was the ‘God Particle’ theory which is basically saying that due to our genetics, we have a certain God particle inside our brains which makes us believe in a higher power, almost like a on and off switch. While the theory is widely popular among atheists the truth about the theory is that it’s ridiculed even in the scientific community. The same theory also states that people have a ‘fat gene’ or a ‘gay gene inside them, now I want you to think very carefully about this, do you believe that a gene could cause those things ? That being fat is genetic and can’t be changed ? Or that being gay is genetic and it’s nothing more than that ?

The answer has to be no, of course you’re not fat because you have a gene, just run and you’ll lose weight, likewise you’re not skinny because you don’t have a gene, you’re skinny because you don’t eat well. This ridiculous theory about everything being explained by the medium of Gentics or science is actually hurting the world’s potential to be greater than what we currently are. Once we start talking about the mind and the psyche we can see that there’s a whole new world that we haven’t explored, that there’s something so complex in the world that we can’t understand it and the materialistic scientists, scared that their claims of ‘Science is absolute’ and ‘God is dead’ will be proved false choose to simply ignore this.

The book speaks about a lot of theories, and once you’re through it, you’ll have learned a lot about psychology and just how ridiculous the world of science is. I won’t go into much detail because people are touchy but I’m sure that everyone must read the book, for aspiring scientists to know where to aim and for other people to learn more about science and that they should research before beliving something. The talk about how science is dominated by materialists, how the media manipulates us into materialism and a lot more, all make it a book for everyone to read.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Gamers! – A slice of life with a mention of games

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I wanted to try some new things out with this anime and while it’s good, it wasn’t what I expected it to be. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1.

The story begins with loner gamer Keita Amano bding approached by the school idol Tendou Karen who is a game lover herself, having very low communication skills Keita ends up embarassing himself infront of Karen. Being invited to join the game club by her, Keita agrees to check it out and finfs that the club is more focused on competitive gaming (here is where I thought that this anime is going to be about Keita learning about professional gaming but NO, that’s too good of a plot.) Keita finds that the club is not the thing for him and turns down Karen, he meets with gamer Uehara and his girlfriend Aguri with whom he becomes friends. Also meeting Hoshinomori Chiaki, another gamer loner like Amano, misunderstandings ensure and the plot revolves around these five teens trying to find out the truth about their romantic relationships while sometimes gaming.

The characters are cliche, that’s all I’ll say, Amano is the loner boy who’s bad at communication but has a passion for gaming who makes girls fall for him. There’s the perfect idol Karen Tendou who is led to ruin by these hijinks. Uehara is the classic hot guy big brother boy who just wants everything to clear up but is the cause of the misunderstandings because he’s trying to get romance to bloom. There’s his girlfriend Aguri, the clingy cute girlfriend who knows little about gaming and Hoshinomori Chiaki, the loner girl who becomes hot once she changes her style a bit. None of them are relatable but this odd combination does make for a few good laughs.

The anime isn’t really all that good, with a title like gamers you’d expect atleast some relation to gaming but no, all you get is that these people game in their free time but the anime is really more about the relationships and misunderstandings between these people than about gaming. Like seriously there would be no change in the show if Instead of being gamers these people were book enthusiasts or anything else. The show does shine in its comedy though it’s got the potential to make you laugh and lighten your mind. The openings and endings are amazing, I liked the music and that’s a redeeming factor about the show.

The themes are none. There’s only comedy, no underlying theme of discrimination or anything else like that and that’s ehat disappoints me, despite being the type of person who always finds out what the anime is supposed to be about, I couldn’t find anything. The only lesson that I could find was that always talk to people, communication is important, these teens are only wrapped up in these situations because they don’t communicate their feelings to each other and only take assumptions which lead to the events of the story.

All in all Gamers! is a mindless watch. It’s good to lighten up your mood because if you take it seriously, like Amano at the end of the series you’ll be crying, “I want a refund.” The ending is good as the misunderstandings are all cleared up and it’s a kind of happy ending. The comedy is the main factor for which you should watch this anime and so I don’t recommend this to everyone, rather only to people who are looking to relax and rewind from all the serious anime shows.

Rap section

There ain’t no rap cause I ain’t motivated by this show, there isn’t enough of a story to tell.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

KOMI CAN’T COMMUNICATE: AN ADORABLE WAY TO ADDRESS A DISORDER

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe and healthy. I picked this anime up when it was around episode 3 because at first I didn’t understand the plot but after I watched the first episode I was hooked. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1 AHEAD.

The story starts at the elite Itan Private High School, where Shouko Komi immediately gets popular in her class due to her elegance, apparently stoic personality and unparalleled beauty. Next we shift to Hitohito Tadano, the average student in the school who finds himself sitting next to Komi and being envied by his classmates. Tadano however discovers a truth, it isn’t that Komi is stoic or thinks too highly of herself to talk to her classmates, instead she has a severe communication disorder. After getting to talk to Komi, Tadano realizes that even though she appears perfect, her life hasn’t been as great as it seems. Komi reveals to Tadano that she wants to better herself in high school and make 100 friends. Tadano decides to help Komi reach her goal of 100 friends and in the ensuing adventure both of them meet new people, learn new things and deal with the everyday life issues that they have while they slowly and yet surely fall in love.

The different personalities of the characters is the main joy of this show. Since the show is about Tadano helping Komi reach 100 friends, we are sure to see some very interesting characters with different personalities. The characters aren’t all dumped on us at the same time but rather each character is introduced and built up slowly to make us understand their quirks and characteristics. We have our main character Komi who has anxiety in social situations and suffers from a communication disorder. The entire show is about seeing her come out of her shell, learning to express herself and her growth which makes her an interesting character to watch. The next is Tadano who is helping Komi get to her goal of 100 friends, the only person who managed to look past Komi’s appearance and see her real self. The next is Osana Najimi, the childhood friend of Tadano who has been seen switching genders multiple times throughout the show, though not showing any growth, Najimi is a catalyst for Komi’s own growth. There are many more characters but I don’t want to spoil everything over here.

I loved how the animation was done for this show, it was stunning, everything from the characters themselves to the backgrounds down to the leaves of the trees, it was all very beautiful. The show also has a great soundtrack and does quite a few play on words. All these things make sense as this is a show about a girl with a communication disorder and so the feelings, the atmosphere everything needs to expressed with anything other than words. The characters do speak but that is more dialogue and the music is what really sets the tone for each scene which shows how much effort went into making this show.

The thing to pick up from this anime is that not everything that we see is true. This is shown from the very first episode till the end of the show. While everyone else is fascinated with Komi’s appearance and beauty, Tadano is someone who looks past that to see her real self which is actually a girl struggling with anxiety. This is applicable in real life as we judge people based on how they look without knowing what they are under the covering of flesh and bones. The show also picks up on the themes of kindness from the kindness that Tadano shows towards Komi throughout the entirety of the 12 episodes.

The show has 12 episodes and is already scheduled for a second season for April 2022 so I won’t be reading the manga anytime soon. This is a show that is a must watch for everyone because it’s fun, it’s lighthearted and good to relax to. The music is absolutely a delight to listen to and the show itself is a very good slice of life. I am desperately waiting for season 2 but until then you should catch up to the first season.

Rap section:

A private high school with a pretty young girl,
In this sea of oddballs she’s a precious pearl,
But knowing her reality sends Tadano in a whirl,
Now watch their adorable story unfurl.

The goal is a 100 friends let’s start with one,
Lot’s of people around but this is easier said than done,
Childhood friend Najimi is first and now it’s begun,
Won’t stop till in the no friends list there is none.

The shy kid pushes herself we get to see some growth,
And Tadano is with her cause he’s taken an oath,
He’ll help her till the end and won’t a second loathe,
This is a romance and it invovles them both.

Every second is new you can’t anticipate,
What’s to come as these kids navigate,
Their life in an attempt to reeducate,
Us because this is Komi can’t communicate.

Boss in School: An interesting story that loses its way

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Got reccomended this from an Instagram post so shoutout to the person who posted about the season 3 about this manhwa because you made me have a fun time. MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD.

The story follows Seth Kang, a man who from childhood has had the ability to know how to fight, no matter who or how many his opponents were he always found a way to win. His natural strength and instincts make him an indomitable enemy that is until his mother asks him to stop fighting for her sake. Agreeing with his mother, Seth stops fighting and takes all the bullying like a man but that changes one day when new comes that his father is dead. As inheritance Seth is left with two things, the Sunshine Group, a company which his father Simon Kang started from the ground up and built with his fists and the second words telling him to “stop getting his ass kicked.” Now in high school Seth is not holding himself back anymore and quickly establishes his dominance but there are other strong guys that roam the world, will Seth Kang be able to keep himself alive as conspiracies from rival gangs take place against him ? Will he rise to the top like his father ? This is the journey of Seth Kang.

The characters are fun and likable in season 1’s first part but after a while the new characters aren’t as good I’ll admit that. The series has 3 seasons currently with the 3rd season still ongoing. The characters introduced in the first season are just awesome, there’s Sophie, Seth’s old flame. There’s Victor a boxing prodigy who wants to become the number one boxer, there’s Rod, Seth’s personal bodyguard who provides comix relief. There’s tons and tons of characters introduced and somewhere halfway through season 1 there’s too many to keep count of and you’ll find yourself having to stop to remember who each person was. We don’t get much time or backstory to really connect to the characters either all you have is whose fighting style you like and who you’re rooting for.

The manhwa has amazing action, that’s the one point that kept me going after the story became very chaotic halfway through season 1. The action is amazing and you’ll love every moment I’ll assure you of that. The story however falters a bit and goes downhill simply because it isn’t executed well, there’s no pacing and I hate how some of the OG characters become irrelevant later on in the story and are barely even mentioned. The artwork is also good enough but it isn’t anything amazing. There’s also the 2nd season which I couldn’t find a translation of so I skipped right ahead to season 3 which picks up right where season 1 left off so season 2 seems like more of a prequel. Season 3 seems to be taking things in the right direction by staying true to the character’s personalities while also keeping it action heavy. I also really like the sway of Seth Kang, there’s many moments whrre he’s treated like a boss and he just is badass in those moments.

The lesson to take from this manhwa is that the gangster life never leads anywhere. That’s literally it. The manhwa is a lot about fighting and the gang life with gangsters fighting over different things but you’ll notice a common patter, their life isn’t good, no matter how cool Seth Kang is he still has to constantly fight and in the end that path takes him nowhere except toward destruction. It’s all very similar to real life, the manhwa does try to show how corrupt the world is and all that but it isn’t the main point, the main focus is always on gangs and after reading the manhwa you’ll still think that they’re cooll but that it isn’t a life that is meant to lived, it’s all good just being fictional.

The manhwa has 2 finished seasons, and an ongoing third season with 6 chapters. The story does go downhill haflway across the first season and I haven’t read the second season since it doesn’t have a proper English translation. The 3rd season does seem to be picking up the pace and making sure that the story goes back to the standard that it originally was at. I really reccomend you at least read the first half of the 1st season if you’re into gang and fighting and if you want more of that and can tolerate a few missteps by the makers like me then go right ahead and finish the season also please do tell me if there’s a proper translation of the 2nd season Boss in School: The Beginning, out there, I really want to read it.

Rap section:

Here comes into town a blue haired rockstar,
When it comes to fighting he is a full monster,
He isn’t fighting like an athlete ain’t got no sponsor,
He isn’t a normal student he’s a full on mobster.

Taking over after his dad he’s a respected young man,
No matter who’s the foe he’s always got a plan,
He’s tussling with people and now he’s began,
The hate of gangsters from China till Japan.

You think you can take him nah you don’t even know the half of it,
His own executives question if he’s fit,
To run this company and he makes them submit,
By his own raw power he’s the boss they all admit.

He’s just bad at holding back he isn’t that cruel,
But if you take him on you’re gonna get killed fool,
Every gangster bows to him he’s so damn cool,
He isn’t your average student he’s the boss in school.

A SILENT VOICE: BULLYING, DEPRESSION AND RECONCILIATION

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This anime made me cry, I’m not going to lie. It was tough just watching it all the way through because I take emotions very highly and I cried on multiple occasions throughout the movie. The only warning I have of this one is that you need to keep a lot of tissues around, because you’ll need it.

The story follows Shoya Ishida as he goes back to reconnect with the deaf girl he tormented in grade school, Shoko Nishimiya. We see the story from the start from when Ishida bullied Nishimiya and how his friends also joined in. The representation of the social construct of the school is pretty accurate. It is all about bullying the kid who’s the least popular and doesn’t stand up for themselves. The accurate example is when Nishimiya just puts up with her bullying and instead apologizes to her bullies, this works in their favour as they take it as positive reinforcement and bully her more. I can say it because I’ve seen it in action and most of the time I stand back too like most people and let it happen. Each of Ishida’s friends also represent a different form of bullying, Ishida bullies Nishimiya directly, his friend Kawai laughs along, then Ueno who helps Ishida and talks behind Nishimiya’s back then comes in his friends Hirose and Shimada who when Nishimiya leaves turn to bully Ishida and single him out for being the bully to Nishimiya showing karma comes around and hits pretty hard. There is also another girl Sahara who first befriends Nishimiya but then leaves. These characters all represented the different forms of bullying prevalent all across the world in all sorts of schools.

Ishida now in high school thinks that he doesn’t have the right to live and tries to take his own life but he is stopped by a last moment thought and instead tries to be better. He shows a single act of kindness and it returns to him tenfold which in turn motivates him to reconnect with Nishimiya and apologize to her. His battle through depression is a fierce one as he faces his demons one by one by first making friends with Nishimiya and then getting her to talk to everyone in the group that bullied her earlier to create a community that supports her which shows that everyone finds their tribe sooner or later. At the start of the movie, Ishida doesn’t look anyone in the eye and instead sees crosses in place of everyone’s faces showing that he is punishing himself for the sins of his actions and during that time the movie also shows scenes mostly below the waist representing that Ishida is down in a dump and needs to go through severe change to come back stronger while at the end the movie is shot from the waist up. Ishida shows real character development as he not only battles depression but also faces his sins and stops pushing them away, giving all his strength into being better and leaving the outcome up to God.

This anime shows how much we need to talk about mental health and how everyone is doing, first off the kids in the school if taught what an effect it could have on a person if bullied for their disabilities could have gotten them to stop, secondly there were no resources available to Nishimiya and Ishida as they both go through a phase of depression and only have their friends to look to for help but they are mostly alone. I believe that this movie has shown just how dangerous it can be to ignore mental health but has also shown that everyone can recover from their lowest and come back stronger, everyone can find a support system. The show touches some serious concepts of death and suicide so please if those things have an adverse effect on you then watch this with someone that can help you through it. In the end all I want to say is that everyone needs to watch this anime at least once so that they can see what a great masterpiece it is and how even anime can be good to teach people lessons of life.

I haven’t written any rap for this movie because I believe that it is such a masterpiece that it doesn’t need my work to make it known to people. It is solely out of respect for the creators and the art itself that I don’t make the rap. Anyways please do tell me what you thought about the anime and what were your special takes on the symbolism that is heavily used (I didn’t talk about it because it would spoil the entire movie but keep an eye out for the fish and the photos they really do show you something)  in the movie. Don’t be mean to people, help the victims when you see them and always remember to ask for help if you’re the victim, it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

WHY PERSONA 3 NEEDS TO BE REMADE

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I recently played Persona 3 again and it left me thinking as it did the first 2 times. After that I really thought that if the game was so good that I played it 3 times over there’s got to be a reason and I thought about it. Here are my thoughts.

First off Persona 3 just deals with a much much darker theme than 4 and 5. While 4 is more about the truth and lies and 5 is about tyranny and freedom, 3 is about life and death itself. The overall theme of the game is darker than the ones after it. There’s always a heavy atmosphere during the story and the only light moments in the main story are the beach scene and sometimes when Junepi is acting like a dumbass and a pervert. The story gets darker as it progresses with deceit and death being the real driving factors. The real reason the SEES team is even fighting is because they want to save the people from being attacked by the shadows. They at first work to eliminate the Dark Hour but when they learn that they’ve been tricked and are actually helping bringing the ‘Fall’ or the destruction of the world by defeating the shadows. This deceit really hurts because it’s basically their mentor and the person who has guided them through their journey who does it. There’s also a really emotional scene where a robot realizes she has feelings and decides to act on feelings instead of commands showing freedom. These 2 things are basically the very themes of Persona 4 and 5, the deception is of Persona 4 and the freedom is of Persona 5.

There also comes a point in the story where the protagonist has to make a choice that is either fight a battle this is unwinnable or live in ignorance till the world ends. This was obviously a no brainer as the real ending of the game is the first choice but come to think of it, I did choose the second one on one of my playthroughs just to see what it was like. There’s also the part where the Protagonist basically bets it all on one final move and even knowing that it might kill them still does it. There aren’t themes like these in the later games, they are much lighter and focus more on the lighter themes. The ending is also bittersweet as the protagonist and the others forget everything and live in ignorance for their finals till graduation day. The protagonist also basically dies and get a choice as to which love interest they get to spend one final moment with or they can also choose to not hear anyone and just spend the final moment with the team. The death is rather peaceful surrounded with friends in the open air, a truly poetic end. The protagonist you could say basically was entrusted this responsibility when they were little and when their purpose is fulfilled they leave in peace. It’s essentialy a sacrifice that the world will never know about as they continue to live on. It was at this moment that the players realized that it was either one life or the entire world and making the choice was seriously tough.

The game also had repurcussions like the social rink reversing and breaking which I liked. It really emulated real life. The dungeon wasn’t that good as it was one big thing but if it’s broken into smaller parts like in the later games it’ll be damn good. The characters were also good and lovable which made the game fun and those emotions also impacted your decisions when forming your party because I know I did.

All in all the game deals with a darker theme and with the newer graphics and an enhanced dungeon system the game can be a masterpiece, greater than the one it already is. Let me know what your thoughts on the game were in DM.

Akame Ga Kill: A depressing tale about bringing change

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This anime hits heavy on all the right spots. I thought that this would be a depressing anime and I may have been wrong but the end is depressing or inspirational, it depends on how you look at it.

The story follows a young fighter from a village named Tatsumi who wants to go to the city to earn money to save his poor village. The opening jumps you straight into the action with Tatsumi facing a huge ‘danger beast’ as the anime calls them and defeating it. He makes to the Capital only to realize that it is rotten to the core and it is a world where the rich oppress the poor. His life takes a turn when he is asked to join ‘Night Raid’ a group of assassins working to kill the emperor and make the nation a fair and just one. Tatsumi needless to say agrees and training with the others gets stronger to help them in taking down the Evil Emperor. The story gets dark the further you go into it though it has its light moments. People start dying and Tatsumi who was training under them takes their advice to become stronger and stronger. There is a lot of character development and as the show goes on Tatsumi develops both physically and mentally throughout the show and by the end you can see that Tatsumi really changed.

The anime has a good amount of blood and gore and killing if that’s what you’re all about. However I still recommend one thing to each and every person to watch the last 2 fights of the anime. They’re filled with amazing action and bring tears to your eyes with the amount of emotions that are flowing. Akame Ga Kill is all about sacrifice and it’s mostly life that is sacrificed but it paves the way to the end. There are a bunch of lovable characters that are Night Raid members Akame, Najenda, Leone (or as Tatsumi calls her ‘boobs’) then there’s Mine, Sheele, Lubbock and the person that influences Tatsumi the most Bulat. 2 new members Susano and Chelsea koin the group later on and though they all have their quirks they treat each other as family and are ready to kill. The most dangerous of them is Akame who is ruthless, brutal and merciless. The shows also draws a parallel between the fighters of the Rebellion and the fighters of the Emperor. The Emperor has his own killers named the Jaegars which consist of Wave, Kurome, Seryu, Dr. Stylish, Run and Bols. Each side loses its members slowly and both sides feel the sorrow. It was after any of the fights between the Jaegars and the Night Raid that you would ask, ‘Did Anyone truly win?’

This sort of self questioning that I do after watching anime is precisely why I love stories. They give you a different perspective on everything and my perspective was that the Night Raid was at peace with their death’s so were the Jaegar’s because each side knew the risk of fighting and yet they didn’t back down. At the start of the show the Night Raid tells Tatsumi that the workd they do is dirty and that they must do it so that the rest of the people can keep their hands clean. They never reject the fact that they are murderes but they never say that they are evil. The characters also give you a conflict between good and evil, right and wrong and most importantly, Love and Hate.

The action is amazing in the show and each fight is unique and the fighter’s own motivations and inspirations don’t make each fight seem to be there just for some action rather it makes eevery fight meaningful. The action is so over the top and crazy that it will keep you at the edge of your seat and fear not the anime has a pretty satisfying ending though different from the Manga. Overall I would definetly recommend Akame Ga Kill to people who are strong in heart and who are not easily depressed. Hell even I cried at some parts especially at the end. Go watch it for sure and hit me up with your thoughts in DM.

Now for the Rap Section:

An incredible fighter from a really poor village,
Got nothing to his name but a lot of courage,
But when he takes up a sword there will be damage,
Joins a group of assassin’s to end an evil lineage.

He’s training with the best and he kills with no remorse,
But when all the things take a turn for the worse,
All the enemies that he faces he’s gonna disperse,
Don’t mess with him yeah his skills are diverse.

He may be a killer but he also won a few hearts,
Gets stuck with one of them and he uses his smarts,
To stop her before she gets too close to his private parts,
Besides all that his power’s also off the charts.

He stands with his team to bring forth the revolution,
He gets in and kills his target amidst all the confusion,
He’s got a heart of gold and heavy resolution,
It’s all an attempt to change the constitution.

Black Bullet: Thrilling but missing something

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I don’t exactly regret putting this one off for so long because it so did not live up to the hype of what I was thinking it was but it was good watch regardless. SPOILERS AHEAD.

In the year 2021, humanity is ravaged by the epidemic of Gastrea, a parasitic virus (I’ll admit I was anxious when I saw this), and is forced to live within large Monolith walls, which are created from Varanium: a metal that is able to subdue Gastrea. Soon, it is found that children who were born with the Gastrea virus obtain superhuman abilities, they are dubbed “Cursed Children”. Due to the Gastrea virus’ intervention (and the author’s want to make this a loli harem anime), the Cursed Children could only be female. Civilian Security agencies are formed to specialize fighting against Gastrea, operating with the pair of an Initiator, who are cursed children, and a Promoter, serving to lead the cursed children. Ten years after the epidemic, Rentaro Satomi, a high school student who is also a Promoter in Tendo Civil Security Agency owned by his childhood friend Kisara Tendo, along with his Initiator, Enju Aihara, fights against the Gastrea trying to maintain the peace and safety of Tokyo Area, getting pulled into a war much greater than themselves.

The characters in this show are not at all lovable or relatable. I love seeing characters grow from their past selves into something new even its a cliche thing like learning to make friends or something like that but this anime had none of that. There are characters that appear in EVERY SINGLE OPENING and don’t show up until like the last 3 episodes who have no backstory and no development and are just there for the sake of being there. Even the main character Satomi Rentaro is shown to go through no development at all, despite experiencing tragic losses and seeing heavy discrimination in the world he stills believes and keeps being the hero of justice that he is at the start of the show. I get the fact that he’s written to be kind and gentle but despite sympathizing with the discriminated against Cursed Children he does nothing to help them except stand up to the people in that very moment. The only character development is there for Enju whose backstory we get to see. Characters showing up and then instantly dying makes me feel no emotional connect or sympathy for them, the show really messes it up since despite having great characters it can’t handle them properly. I loved the character of Kagetane who acts as a really really great antagonist and he is the only person with any sort of personality in the show.

The show has the best opening ever so much so that I never skipped it even once in the entire time that I was watching the show but that creates a problem as the opening is so so great and the show is well…. not so great. The show can give you some good action at times but I hate that they pick up a plot point that seems like it will develop into something major and then just completely drops it, never to be mentioned again, while it doesn’t do that all the time like in the last few episodes things that are shown to us actually mean something but the other times it isn’t so great at remembering the plot points that it shows us.

The show deals with discrimination and how political power plays are always happening even in a war torn world, the greed of the people doesn’t stop. The discrimination is handled pretty well since from the start and throughout the show we see how the Cursed Children are forced to bear abuse from the humans and still having to protect them by fighting as Initiators and even there they are treated as equipment by their Promoters. The greed of the people on the other hand plays a major plot point for only a few episodes but even then it shows how humans still want and thirst for power even when the world is in ruins. Discrimination is present in out society as well, heavily and you can’t deny that and I think that the show really manages to get through the point that those being discriminated against are fighting their own battles and don’t need the extra pressure.

The ending of the show isn’t all that satisfying since most of the questions that are put forward by the show itself are left unanswered, such as “What are the Gastrea?” also “What is the mystery about the Tendo family ?” The show reveals a big secret at the end which is totally unexpected, we are given no clues for it except in just the previous episode. Regardless of these flaws, the show can give you some great action and the bonding between Enju and Rentaro is great (When it isn’t getting into the lolicon territory in the name of ‘comedy.’) I was thinking about picking up the Light Novels but then I found out that its cancelled as well so I’m not jumping into a half completed story. The show might leave you frustrated at the beginning but I assure you once you watch it you will appreciate the action and while the show does seem to be missing something you’ll surely remember it.

Rap section:

Everything was going great and then a virus wiped the world out,
Gastrea creating monsters across the land throughout,
Power plays are in position no one knows about,
All they know is that they need to find a route.

Humanity is crushed but politics doesn’t end,
On confirming their power every penny they will spend,
And the way from the gastrea to defend,
Is to put people in groups and fight with a friend.

Hiding up his power Rentaro’s coming in,
He was just living the simple life when,
When a new monster comes from the city within,
And now a new adventure for him begins.

Teaming up with Cursed Children he’s got to work,
Got to prove they’re not equipment to the opponent jerk,
Harm his partner Enju and watch him go beserk,
This is a war torn world it ain’t gonna end with a smirk.

Eden of the East – A thrilling masterpiece

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I was really really confused when I first watched this anime but once I finished it I understood the true meaning and genius behind it. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1.

Saki Morimi a college student on her graduation trip to the USA tries a very suspicious and yet innocent thing. She tries throwing a coin inside the fountain in the grounds of the White House. Having been seen by the police she gets in trouble only to be saved by a naked man holding a gun and a peculiar cell phone. This man who has lost his memories makes his way to an apartment and chooses a passport from one the many he has, taking on the name Takizawa Akira. Takizawa now teaming up with Saki gets back to Japan and then learns about missile attacks on Japan named Careless Monday. Now armed with the knowledge that he was involved in the Careless Monday incident and in the disappearance of 20,000 NEETS, Takizawa sets out to find what he did and why. Using his cellphone which has 10 billion yen given to him to be a Savior he must find out why he erased his memories and why he is a pet of the group known as Seleco.

The characters in the anime are fairly well written with every character having enough of a backstory for us to go on and relate without dragging out the actual plot too much. Takizawa Akira is a fun and quirky male who is clumsy and quick to act, all he wants to do is find out what happened but he does that adding his own charm to it. His carefree methods and joyful nature add life to the story. Saki on the other hand is shown to be a struggling person, someone who has no direction as to what she wants to do in life, she blames herself for everything that goes wrong in her life and that in and of itself shows that she was written to be a character in a bad place. However the way she changes when she interacts with Takizawa by gaining a purpose is the best thing ever. The others are great characters too having their own struggles but not something that’s specifically focused on giving us enough information to go on.

The shining place of the anime is towards the end really. The majority of the show feels like a confusing mess but at the end of the show the missing pieces all click together and show us a masterpiece. This anime does require you to push through some boring stuff and it isn’t all thrill and action all the time. It wasn’t like I expected at all but the end is completely worth it. The beginning beautifully ties in to the end and we understand what everything meant and not a single scene in the anime is shown to be wasted.

The anime really shows the clash of ideologies between the old lazy men of the bureaucracy and the new youth who believes that change must come. Mr. Outside is shown to be a man supportive of change who uses his entire resources to make Japan better whatever way possible. He is a man who is shown to use his resources in a good way albeit his method of picking out his candidates are really questionable. Change is the major thing. Change is something that no one wants and yet everyone in the world has to accept, like the flow of a river you can’t fight it. In the end the show is about being comfortable with change, not pushing your ideologies onto others and knowing that you have time.

The anime is overall a masterpiece but the sheer boredom you feel at the start is definetly not something that everyone can handle easily so if you’re looking for a mindless binge this is a horrible choice. This anime if for the patient viewer who wants to get to the end to solve the mystery. The end I feel is amazing, desire the shows attempts to not take itself seriously it shows just the sheer scale on which the things were happening and how much they affected Japan. The finale makes everything worth it so I really recommend Eden of the East to the patient viewer.

Rap section:

Quirky young man holding a gun in full view,
He’s got no memory he’s starting life anew,
His situations getting tougher but he pulls through,
With the help of his cellphone to know what is true.

Is he a hero or villan no one has any idea,
All he knows is that his purpose is to be a,
Savior doing good work he’s got to free a,
Japan that can’t survive much longer cause it’s burning like a tortilla.

Teaming with Saki it’s a slow burn romance,
He’s got mysteries and he’s gonna advance,
Got 10 billion yen no worries for finance,
But at the end he simply wants to relax.

He’s kidnapping people and he’s laying a siege,
To the old ideology that’s sucking like a leech,
Out of the country and they’re gonna screech,
As he destroys them saying Nobless Oblige.

Weak Hero: Intense fights and intense story

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. I think I have a real problem of sleeping on the good stuff because Weak Hero is absolutely amazing. It’s really good and I started reading when it was at around chapter 140 and in what I think is the last season. SPOILERS, I get excited talking about great manhwa like this so SPOILERS.

The story follows a new kid in Eunjang High School, named Grey Yeon, while he looks scrawny and weak and is labelled a ‘pretty boy’ due to his long hair, he is actually a very capable fighter. The class bully Colton Choi decides to take Grey on and receives a beating that stuns the entire class. The other three top delinquents in the school, Ben Park nicknamed Big Ben, his partner and friend Alex Go nicknamed Gogo and Gerard Jin nickname Mad Hound or Hot Foot Jin, decide to check out the new kid and after a look at him decide to mind their own business. While Grey gets into fight after fight, proving himself to anyone who underestimates him because of his scrawny looking appearance (earning him the title of a dirty fighter), he one day gets into a fight with the students from Yoosun High, as Gerard, Ben and Alex join the fight, Gray shocks them with his brutality and tricks that he uses to fight. As the four delinquents are targeted by people who want to take over Eunjang, they come together as a gang and as friends. While Grey is busy earning his reputation (Being called the White Mamba), different members of the Union, a group of the strongest delinquents under Donald Na sets their sights on bringing down the delinquents of Eunjang High. Fighting together, Gray and his friends move forward to become the legends of Eunjang High while the kids deals with their pasts and fight in the present.

The scary looking and ridiculously tough antagonist Donald Na

The characters are really, really amazing. I absolutely loved Grey Yeon from his first fight in episode 1 but apart from that, the sheer presence that some of the characters have, because of their nature, words and looks just makes it so impressive. My favorite character has to be Donald Na, the main antagonist who is shown very less in the manhwa until season 2 but his design, his fights, everything is just amazing to me. There is no lack of characters as well, more and more delinquents are added to the manhwa, like Jimmy Bae who shares a past with Ben Park, Wolf Kuem who is known to be ruthless and many, many more characters. The character development is phenomenal with Grey going from being a cold and lonely guy to a person who learns to have friends again, he goes through major stuff and each and every time you just respect him more and more as he grows. You also get to see the characters grow and evolve with everyone having been given a good backstory which really raises the level of emotional connect with the characters.

Weak Hero flourishes in its fights, I haven’t read a lot of fighting manga except Tokyo Revengers and while the fights were amazing in that as well, Weak Hero takes things to the next level. The absolute brutality that is shown is amazing, it sends chills down your spine even as you read it. It really hyped me up when I was reading it. I found the tricks that Grey uses clearly interesting and intriguing since its always a new trick each time like using a belt or even soda cans. The story is also pretty proper and that’s what I like, its not mindless fighting to see who is the strongest but rather its tricks, deception, power plays and things like that.

He might fight dirty, but Grey is absolutely brutal

The lesson I got was pretty much, ‘It isn’t right to keep your head down and ignore the wrongdoings around you.’ Even though Grey takes action against the bullies because of a personal story he still takes action and that is what makes him different from his classmates who just choose to ignore what is going around them. Grey shows that courage only comes when you take action because he fights even when he’s scared and he fights brutally, he isn’t afraid of being called lame for his tricks because he knows that the fights that the bullies pick are never fair to begin with. So don’t go charging into every fight like an idiot but make sure that you pay people back for their wrongdoings.

The manhwa is currently ongoing and is on chapter 140 with Season 3 being titled the Last One. If you want to experience an interesting story and some very intense fights in a high school setting then this is right up your alley but be warned that this can be triggering because of the brutal fighting, the show manages to perfectly capture the brutality of the fights and I think it’s just sad kids with sad stories who are just trying to heal their traumas and are forced to fight just because their world is brutal but if you can get through it then please do give it a read. I also want more recommendations for more manhwa’s, I already have Study Group, The Beginning after the End and Lookism lined up.

Rap section:

Delinquents all around welcome to Korea,
Speak out of turn and you can guarantee a,
Punch to the face the least of their worries is the degree a,
New face comes in tryna change the whole idea.

Scrawny looking kid and he’s called a pretty boy,
First day in and they know he’s here to destroy,
The bullies that he faces his pretty face is just a decoy,
Gray Yeon is the name and dirty tactics he’s gonna employ.

Slowly and slowly he’s moving up in the school,
After a gang fight gets invited to play pool,
But he’s got work to do can’t afford to play the fool,
He might look gentle but when he fights he’s cruel.

He likes to keep it straight no dealing with the drama,
Fools try to take him on and then scream for their mama,
In this endless world of cruelty he’s a comma,
You better not mess with him he’s called the White Mamba.

ReLIFE: Perfect slice of life

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. Sometimes a good slice of life anime is what you need to de-stress and ReLIFE is everything to help you de-stress and think about your own life. SPOILERS AHEAD.

The show starts off with Kaizaki Arata, a NEET dropout from society who quit his job and is working part time to sustain himself, lying to his friends that he has a job and is driven into a corner in his life. He is approached by Ryo Yoake, a man who works for ReLIFE laboratories. After telling Kaizaki that he has been chosen for the experiment to reintegrate society dropouts like him back into society by having them go through high school again, the time where people go through the most change, the goal is to make them relive and understand the emotions that they have forgotten by getting into society. Kaizaki, though skeptical hears that he will be paid his living expenses as well as get a job at the end of the experiment agrees to it. He goes back to high school where he is surprised that Yoake is a student there as well. Planning to keep his head down and breeze through the year Kaizaki instead gets wrapped in friendships and making bonds leading us through his journey of ReLIFE.

The characters are the thing that make the show worth it, be it the socially awkward Hishiro Chizuru who is trying to make friends for the first time in high school or the nice guy Oga who is trying to help Kaizaki pass his make up exams. There are tons of characters and each have their own little story arcs which help them progress through high school and Kaizaki using his knowledge of society and being a grown up helps his friends as well as starts to grow himself. The others in the cast are tsundere type Kariu who has pretty clear feelings for Oga but refuses to act on them as well as an inferiority complex. Then there’s Onoya who is the same as Kaizaki but hides a secret of her own. Watching all of these lovable and relatable characters work their way through their final year of high school is heartwarming and lovely.

The show deals perfectly with past trauma and the experience of seeing a man who has already lived life last high school come back and grow with young people is something extraordinary and really worthwhile. The music in the anime is really good as well with the ending sounds and background music as well as the opening being something you can’t skip. The comedy is really well written with the pacing between the thrilling and relaxed portions being well done for the first 13 episodes with the last 4 being not as good.

Regret and change, are the main themes of the show as I picked up with Kaizaki dealing with his own last trauma and the regret he had for not doing anything, his ReLIFE helps him come to terms with his past and understand that he has to move forward as his past actions have also had an impact. The second one change is very prevelant as the characters are in high school the time where everyone goes through some change and discovers more of themselves. Whether it’s Kaizaki learning that he wants to help people grow or Oga coming to experience love, Hishiro learning to smile, Kariu dealing with her inferiority complex or Ryo coming to terms with his own last failures and his role as supporter in Kaizaki’s ReLIFE it all teaches that growth is never easy and change is constant. We all go through regret in our own lives and to deal with that we need to do it like we did in high school, take one thing at a time, learn how to be comfortable with change and keep moving forward while being a bit carefree about everything and having fun. Life is an experience and we need to go through both the good and the bad and then move forward.

The ending of the show is good only at Episode 13 with the twists revealed there as the last 4 OVAs are rushed and don’t provide as good a ending as the manga would with its slow pacing. So my advice is to leave out the OVAs watch only till episode 13 and then head on to the manga. A slice of life anime that can teach you life lessons as well as help you relax, ReLIFE is definitely a must watch. I’ll go on ahead and read the manga so I can get the full ending to the story.

Rap section:

Jobless young man living life as a failure,
Given up on life but he’s got kind behaviour,
In the form of an experiment he meets a saviour,
To bring inside his life changes major.

Kaizaki Arata working man goes to high school,
At first his new life seem to be very cruel,
Gradually he builds up his life and now it’s cool,
But can’t tell anybody about this ReLIFE that’s the rule.

He’s being observed and those around him he’s changing,
Making friends finding love new experience gaining,
Sharing his wisdom but he’s got to hide his aging,
To make the best of his life that’s remaining.

Helping out his friends and dealing with strife,
Through his negative self he’s cutting through like a knife,
Getting popular and he’s becoming the hype,
Kaizaki Arata learning to live with ReLIFE.

Why you should read the Kakegurui manga.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. Kakegurui, it was one of the first anime that I watched like it has to be in the first 20 and I absolutely loved the story and the intense gambles and I definetly wanted more of that and that’s why I picked up the manga. SPOILERS FOR MOST OF SEASON 1 AND A LITTLE OF SEASON 2 OF THE ANIME AHEAD.

The story is all the same up until the game with the rotating tower between Yumeko and Sayaka, it all ends the same way but after that game, Yumeko doesn’t challenge Kirari, neither does she play a game against her, instead the election arc immediately begins. That’s one of the major differences here but let’s talk about season 2, season 2 had the final gamble with Rei Batsubami but in the manga Rei doesn’t even exist, Rei is a character who is solely anime only and that changes everything that happens after Yumemite’s battle against Sumika. The stakes get higher and it all moves towards the election battle. The story is much more intense, less chaotic and to the point in the manga and it will build up to a conclusion and that’s worth a read.

Now this reason is very obvious, there’s more gambles to be had, as the story progresses new gambles take place and they are on a much, much more larger scale than the ones that we’ve seen and all the gambling, mind games and craziness in itself is seriously good to read. Even though I miss the intense music and the voice acting as well as the red eyes from the anime, things just don’t feel the same without them and yet they are still good.

Now remember how Mary teamed up with the Vice President Ririka Momobami and then we never got to see where that led to ? Well that’s not the case in the manga, their team up plays a very vital role in the election battle and the story which is currently at 88.5 chapters is definitely making full use of that partnership. I liked how they focused more on the other characters as well instead of just keeping Yumeko as the centre of attention.

There are some very emotional scenes that the characters share and even though you won’t get much feeling out of it because you haven’t had much time to connect with these characters these scenes are still good. Now SPOILERS FOR THE MANGA AHEAD. SKIP OVER TO THE NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU DON’T WANT THEM. Yumeko and Mary at one point share a gamble of Rock, paper, scissors, the very first game that they played when Yumeko arrived at the academy first and that scene is everything, it’s nostalgic, it sees Mary and Yumeko duke it out and also shows how well they read each other while also not understanding each other.

END OF SPOILERS. In the main theme of Kakegurui remains the same, gambling always, always leads people to their downfall and we see that countless times in this series as people’s lives are turned into hell because they gambled and lost it. The addiction of gambling also is shown through Yumeko and it’s a very bad thing I agree. The series still manages to keep its battles intense and the story interesting while giving us this lesson.

At the end, the manga just has much much more value with the extra story and the cut content both with the gambles and the relationship between the characters. If you want to finish the story or just want more Kakegurui you should definitely read the manga and for those who are just a little bit interested, I would suggest going through it a bit and see if the future gambles excite you.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about and some manga recommendations. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.
