Darwin’s Game: A future diary ripoff.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. There are major Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) vibes from this anime but there are a few times when we come to understand that this anime is something of its own too. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1 AHEAD.

The story follows protagonist Kaname Sudo, a average high schooler who hadn’t been hanging out with his friends lately. The reason ? His friends have been involved in a new game called Darwin’s Game in which players can battle each other and earn points which can be converted into real world cash later on. Kaname receives an invite from his friend for the Darwin’s Game which he accidently opens leading to him becoming a participant unwillingly in the game. He soon finds out that he can be attacked by other players who will kill him to earn points. Soon he finds out from his friend about the game and Sigils, powers granted by the game to the players. Soon enough Kaname gets wrapped up in the game with other players and events making allies and enemies along the way as he makes it his goal to kill the creator of the game. Where everyone can be an enemy or an ally will Kaname survive and find out the truth about the game ? Watch to find out.

The characters are fairly decent in the anime with most of them being well written but not relatable and some of them just simply being lazy and convenient to the story. There’s our protagonist Kaname who is kind hearted and doesn’t want to kill unless there is an absolute necessity to do so. He teams up with Shuka an A ranked player who is kind of a Yuno Gasai parallel and nothing more. Then there’s other characters who all either become allies or enemies and who all have different kinds of Sigils.

The part where the most effort is put in the anime is possibly the Sigils and the naming of them as you can very clearly make out the parallels between the names and the powers of the Sigils and the Sigils themselves are very different from each other and don’t feel rushed or lazy at all. There’s also the Darwin’s Game naming, the obvious reason to that being that the game is all about survival of the fittest and kill or be killed. Despite all of that, there’s also the unexplained things like the Teleportation and Gacha system which allows players to buy things all of which are very well supernatural even the Sigils themselves are supernatural and yet the show claims to be more scientific and more on the side of realisim than on the side of the supernatural and those elements making it really confusing because it isn’t entirely explained how the players are teleported and things like that.

The lesson from this is obviously that only the fit survive, those that can adapt to their surroundings quickly and can shed their old skin of their old selves and be born anew with new traits are the ones who can survive in the game and in this world itself. I agree that it is important to have the skill of adaptability which in itself is a skill that has been developed by us over the years of our growth not physical but growth in the mental and emotional sense.

Overall the anime is one which should be watched for the intense action and gore that it shows with the array of weapons and sigils and the amazing fights. Don’t try to find logic in the anime and expect that everything will be explained (this ain’t Future Diary). The finale is a hopeful one with the growth of Kaname and the others being a major plot point but it does make you want to pick up the manga to finish off the story. I think I’ll also be picking up the manga later on and updating this post on it but till then I’ll recommend this anime to anyone who wants a mindless fun binge of nothing too complex.

Rap section:

High school student got a money problem,
One game to play and earn cash that’s awesome,
Started playing it for the money and they robbed him,
Of his life and now Sudo Kaname joins in to avenge the fallen.

No place for weaklings only the strong survive,
Only way to quit is to not make it out alive,
No known Sigil and yet he’s gonna thrive,
He’s a good man but his power’s in disguise.

Joining up with players he’s forming a clan,
To make his comrades survive he’s making a plan,
He’s gonna clear the game and he began,
The process of clearing the game as one man.

Things have changed life ain’t the same,
One click on the app and he became,
One of the most powerful players rising to fame,
In this messed up thing known as Darwin’s Game.

REVIEWING : PRINCIPLES

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. This might be one of the first books that I skipped parts of just because I wanted to get to the thing that mattered to me and I understand that it was the best decision I made.

The book is divided into three parts with one part about Ray Dalio and his own personal journey to the point to where it came to him discovering what he wrote in the book. I personally was not interested in Ray’s personal journey and I skipped that part and went immediately to the next part which describes Life principles which each and every person can follow and create in their own lives. He talks about what principles he uses himself in his life and how he maintains them. Next he talks about Work Principles a part which wasn’t of much use to me but I still read it understanding the importance of having accountability and having an ideal system in place so that people can work efficiently and like their job. Though the core basis of his system remains the same that is The Five Step Process, Ray goes deeper in each section of the book focusing on different things and making it all beautifully come together.

There’s also a summary of everything that is taught in each of the chapters at the end of the different parts of the book so if you like you can simply go to it read through it once and then go to whichever part you feel like you need at that point in your life and then just read through it. The book talks about the mind and accountability a lot but since its written in fairly simple English and easy grammar I suggest that everybody read it when they can even if they feel like the book has nothing to offer them. Believe me, it has a lot to offer you even if you want to skip through work principles because you feel like you don’t need it, you absolutely need the Life Principles part. The book isn’t soft and appealing, rather it talks a lot about making tough choices in life and choosing between comfort and growth. While that may turn a lot of people away from the book, it shouldn’t make you feel like this isn’t for you.

The image up above describes the Five Step Process that Ray shows in his book. It’s about having audacious goals, goals which people will tell you aren’t possible or that people thing aren’t achievable, failing at those goals, which means that you weren’t prepared or you weren’t putting in enough hard work for it. Then comes learning Principles, the most important part. Look at why you failed and then look into why the thing happened because of which you failed. This constant asking of why? leads to you finally realizing where it is that you were going wrong so you can accept your failure and learn that it isn’t one event that caused you to fail but rather a past even which might have instilled something deep down in your mind that caused you to fail. Then you make Principles for yourself to follow so that you can get through that why that has caused you to fail. Put that Principle into practice and you should see yourself improving, then you can have more audacious goals and the process can continue making you better as you go along and get what you wanted. This simple breakdown itself proves that Ray Dalio explained well in his book how to live life.

If there was one thing that I had to complain about in this book, because nothing is perfect, it would be the lack of better examples of what Ray is talking about because though he writes fairly simply his concepts and ideals can sometimes be confusing. The concept of idea meritocracy is great because it tells that people should move according to merit and if people understood that they could see that God should be at the top of this idea meritocracy since he’s the one with the most merit and this system is one that was already explained in the Vedas once before. Overall, the book is a must read even if you skip through some parts because the book is written in a way that you can pick up from wherever you like and get on with it.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Code Geass – A game of wits and despair

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. This is an anime that I’ve waited for long to see and I wasn’t disappointed. SPOILERS of course but please go watch it.

The series follows LeLouch Lamperlouge, a supposedly normal Britannian student who follows a crashed truck and comes into contact with a mysterious girl. She gives him the power of Geass, the power to absolutely control anyone with whom LeLouch makes eye contact. This power LeLouch uses to lead a rebellion against the empire of Britannia and free Japan as he dons the mask of Zero. As he continues his quest which is fueled by anger from the past and his concerns for the future of his sister Nunally. Joined by friends from the past and enemies of the past as well, LeLouch faces the ultimate despair as he uncovers the truths of his past and lineage, deals with friendships and betrayals and the secret of the Geass which is revealed to be much more than just a power that LeLouch possesses. As he starts out on this path of rebellion, will his selfishness and ambition lay him dead ? Or will be rise to the challenge and destroy his enemies and despair with his wits ? Only time will tell.

The characters are obviously LeLouch Lamperlouge, the man and legend, genius and strategist who takes on the war to free Japan (that’s all I can tell for now, but those who have watched the show know what I’m talking about), his sister Nunally, a blind and crippled girl who wants a gentle world to live in with her brother. Kururugi Suzaku, a man who is connected to LeLouch’s past as well as having a complicated past of his own who is a real hypocrite. Charles Zi Britannia, the 98th emperor of Britannia and the man against whom LeLouch is making his stand. C.C. (pronounced as C2), the woman who gives LeLouch his power of the Geass and who knows more of his past and the truth he sees than anyone. Among these there are others as well such as Rivalz, a longstanding friend of LeLouch with whom he gambles, Kallen Kouzuki, a friend and a close comrade, Shirley, a girl who is obviously in love with LeLouch and yet can’t express it due to his aloof nature and his true work. Members of the Black Knights, the rebellion group that LeLouch has formed and the royal family of Britannia against whom LeLouch is mounting his counterattack. The characters are all well developed and don’t stray from character anywhere in the whole 50 episode series. They all have their own personal struggles to go through which develops them and LeLouch as well.

The animation is obviously old but it still is good enough to watch and enjoy but if you do want newer animation you can watch the movies which cut out and trade some of the story but still are fun to watch. The main themes of the show see power and despair and the opposing philosophies of the people both participating in the rebellion and those who are against it. This as well as the extremely well written strategy and twists all make for an extremely well developed, deep and sometimes hard to grasp plot full of twists and turns as LeLouch plays his games to take down the Britannian Empire. The pacing is well done with the action and suspense being the main part but humour and pointless silly things keeping it fresh.

The theme of punishment and sin is well discussed, with Kururugi Suzaku being the main character of this and later LeLouch himself as both are ideological and follow their own paths only to know that they must pay for their sons themselves with Suzaku being trapped in an eternal punishment and LeLouch accepting his despair as the source of his strength as he once says in battle, ‘Come and face me one who think that they can match my despair.’ The teaching here obviously is that everyone has their fair share of defeats but to sin and then claim that you don’t deserve punishment for it isn’t right, instead judgement is passed down on everyone and the one who accepts it can bear it while the one who doesn’t continues to struggle while he breaks. LeLouch understands this as he bears his punishment for all the lies and tricks and schemes that he pulled on the world.

The ending of the show is tragic, emotional and fitting for our protagonist LeLouch since even after all that happended, his getting the Geass, him doing countless sins, everything that was supposed to put his plan out of its path. The genius simply managed to include it all and stuck to his ideology until the very end, creating a world fit for the people to live in. The series is a must watch, if for nothing then the brain games and the serious price that one has to pay for trying to change the world because in the end, only a man who can stick to his ideology can accomplish his goals. Do give me your reviews in DMs, was the series better or the movie ? What did you think of Resurrection a good movie ? I’ll see you all next week.

Rap section:

LeLouch Lamperlouge a man of secrets,
Up all night he’s making plans sleepless,
Unbreakable he’s only got one weakness,
A sister to whom he’s pledged his allegiance.

Careful and thought out he’s taking on a empire,
Gathering allies he’s going to go set fire,
So he can control all the people and play umpire,
To make the world a kind place and take it higher.

Sending his troops out but can you face the man,
When he comes to the battle himself and began,
The liberation of a long oppressed Japan,
All for him to carry out his final plan.

He’s not a normal man he is an entity,
Taking down Britannia is his destiny,
For the opressed world he is the remedy,
People think they know him but they don’t know his identity.

Terror in Resonance : Bombs and Greek history

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. Terror in Resonance, a tale of terrorists trying to do the right thing. Seems illogical right well you’ll find out if you watch. SPOILERS for the FIRST EPISODE.

The plot follows two boys who refer to each other as Twelve and Nine. Nine is a cold and calculating boy showing little to no emotion as he bottles it all up and instead focuses more on the plan and things in the long run. Twelve is a contrast to Nine being an absolute live in the moment kind of person. What these two hide is a secret. They’re the masked terrorists Sphinx putting forward riddles to the police, the solutions of which contain information about bombs they have planted. These two rope in an abused and quiet girl Lisa in their plans. Brilliant and witty, both boys show that they have a reason for doing what they’re doing as they face off against a once ace detective who’s last past case is connected to this one. Battling with each other in a game of wits, what is it that Nine and Twelve truly want ? And will former detective Shibazaki be able to stop them ? Watch to find out.

The characters are all fun to watch and well written too I might add. Nine and Twelve are both straightforward in their motivations but complex in their backstories and their way of dealing with emotions. Twelve on the one hand is fun loving and a wild card always ready to try out new stuff and encouraging Nine to go out of the way of their plans. He is the one to suggest they bring in Lisa, who has a different backstory of her own and is not a very relatable character but she does walk the fine line between morality and love in their adventure. Nine, looks cold but on the inside he suffers from his past and doesn’t want to trust Lisa because he believes that more comrades will mean more pain if he loses them. Then there’s the detective Shibazaki, who is a man on a quest to regain his honour and respect in the police department. He represents the common man suppressed by the system and the higher ups because he spoke out against the powerful people. He is strong willed and smart and the only one to challenge Sphinx in their quest.

The constant riddles and twists are amazing and all worth it but the content references to Greek history like the Sphinx and it’s riddles, Oedipus and his story, the Athena program and many many others are all what make the story even more exhilarating and chilling. It’s guaranteed to keep you at the end of your seat for the entirety of the show.

The theme of freedom is prevalent, with the whole thing beginning because some guy wanted to make Japan freer and repair it’s broken spirit but under the cover of that they imprisoned others and continued the cycle. The ends justify the means you can say as the constant bombings all have a reason that is exposing which I disagree with. The one with the most lessons is Shibazaki and his way of going against the system and doing his own thing even when he’s clearly told not to do it . All he cares about is the truth. The one line I love from him is, “Even if my shouts are but a whisper I won’t stop shouting.” It teaches us go never give up in the face of a stronger power opressing us and instead feels us to keep fighting.

The show is absolutely beautiful and brilliant with the difference between cold and fire, summer and winter showing with Nine and Twelve. The ending is the most well done and the most beautifully carved out ending ever with everything adding up and every little thing being tied up. It’s an absolute must watch and everyone needs to give it a watch especially if you liked anime like Death Note and Code Geass.

Rap section

Take it to the light filled streets of Tokyo,
One cold dude and one warm hearted Romeo,
Blowing things making plans this ain’t their first rodeo,
Rooftop apartment but it ain’t a cozy home.

Cold gaze and brilliant mind name’s Nine,
Making plans like the brain of a God divine,
Bombs plans and riddles all by his design,
All those brains and he looks Hella fine.

Partnering with sweetheart named Twelve,
Into sheer danger alone he’ll delve,
Bombing places because the higher ups shelve,
The curious case of their brilliant selves.

Competing against the police crushing their arrogance,
Masked Sphinx putting out riddles with Greek relevance,
Everything planned don’t leave no evidence,
All it adds up to is Terror in Resonance.

91 days: Revenge and brain games with the Mafia

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I have so much to say for this anime. I personally love mafia stuff and this one was must watch once I found this. First off a definite 10/10 and now that that’s our of the way let’s dive in. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1.

The story starts off with Angelo Lagusa witnessing the murder of his father Testa Lagusa, mother and little brother right infront of his eyes due to a mafia dispute. Running away, he takes shelter at the home of his friend Corteo and swears to be brothers with him before leaving the town of Lawless. Living as an empty shell, eating just enough to survive and having no purpose in life and now having adopted a new name Avilio Bruno he receives a letter containing the names of the people who murdered his family namely, Vincent Vanetti, the Don of the Vanetti crime family, his son Nero Vanetti and Vanno Clemente. Now armed with this knowledge Avilio returns to his hometown of Lawless in the Prohibition era ready to exact his revenge on his killers but outsmarting and tricking them all to serve his purpose. Revenge.

The characters are vast in this anime with most not having enough time to have fleshed out back stories however the main characters have quite a lot of time to grow and form bonds and also show their own nature and how they work. This is done brilliantly by showing Avilio and his quick thinking to make sure that no one finds out about his revenge all while he kills the killers. Nero Vanetti and his family pride for which he decides to stop at nothing. He believes that the Vanetti control Lawless and that the Orcos and Galassias are trying to move in on what is his and so he refuses to bow down and shows his fearlessness and killer instinct as he rules with an iron fist. There’s other characters like Corteo who has a time to shine and becomes one of the many people whose lives becomes upside down due to this revenge that Avilio has taken on. There are other characters all greatly written and enjoyable and all serving their purposes to advance the plot.

The thing that will make this show stand out from any other mafia show in the world is the brain games. It isn’t so simple as Avilio showing up and shooting the people who killed his family instead he works his way up the chain and makes his moves when and as he sees fit to outsmart even those who seem to have every advantage over him. The plot twists and the plans used by Avilio alone make it worthwhile to watch this show.

The theme of Revenge and Pride are the two most important themes as one can see with Avilio showing a man with nothing to lose but his life doing every crazy thing possible to get his revenge showing that he will stop at nothing to avenge his family which also shows how much he loved his family and how revenge is ultimately hollow and useless. Nero Vanetti shows pride as he takes on family pride as the most important thing without ever understanding what is wrong from right. Mafia life, territorial disputes and power play are all he knows and so he takes pride in it. The teaching that these two give us from their story is that ‘crime and revenge ruins everyone’ which is seem prominently throughout the story by the help of different characters. It doesn’t mean that only the revenge of killing and the most henious crimes cause problems. Simple things, a simple bad though, a small felony these things too can destroy a man which leads to the topic of compassion for everyone not just for the ones with whom we share bonds.

The show is overall a great watch with nice vibe and music. The ending is fairly satisfying according to me with all the plot lines being cleared up and everyone being at peace and where they should be in the end. The show is amazing and a must watch certainly if you’re a beginner because this can be a good starting point to more mature and long running anime. 91 days is a great anime for everyone to watch, that’s my recommendation.

Rap section:

Go back a few years to the Mafia time,
People in Lawless living a life of crime,
For a revenge story this is a setting prime,
Avilio Bruno is back making plots sublime.

He’s here with targets all down to kill,
Showing off with his gun his impeccable skill,
He’s climbing the ranks all up until,
He comes close to the King of the hill.

He’s got a sidearm but his real weapon is the mind,
Search all you want but you ain’t gonna find,
His real identity that he’s left behind,
All to take revenge with his plans refined.

Taking down the Mafia with his witful ways,
Even ridiculous moves are planned out plays,
Watch him as on his journey he repays,
The debt of his family in 91 days.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

MAOYU – The behind the scenes of a war.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I have had my doubts about this anime but after watching it I can say that I was half correct. The show does have some bad things but it’s an overall Interesting concept so let’s get started. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1.

The story is set in a medieval time with a Hero setting out to defeat the Demon King with his party. He however abandons his party and sets out to the castle alone. Seeing the castle empty almost seemingly abandoned, he charges into the Demon King’s chamber ready for his showdown. However, he discovers that the Demon King isn’t an insanely powerful, cruel and vicious being and rather a kind-hearted and smart woman who simply wishes to end the way, not with one side winning but rather with both sides learning to coexist. The Hero though skeptical learns of the Demon King’s dream to see a place beyond the hills with no war, a place where everyone could live peacefully. Agreeing to the strange proposal, the two form a contract, ‘to be each other’s’ and to make the world learn to co exist while they develop their own romance and other players behind the scenes also make their plan difficult.

The show has a surprisingly good concept to keep you occupied and it is fairly easy to remember the characters since they don’t have any actual names, like the Demon King or rather Queen is referred to as Mao, the Hero is referred to as Yusha and the like. The characters as fun and interesting to watch and also emotional at the right times though you never have enough time to get actually attached to any of them. The Female Knight who is shown to have an attachment for the Hero is supposed to be a character we sympathize with as the Hero deserted her and the rest of his crew but I didn’t actually feel anything since we didn’t get to see what sort of bond they shared before the beginning of the show, all we know is that she is attached, same goes for the Female Magician and Old Man of his group who all go on with their lives while the Hero seems to be carefree and not at all worried that he should meet them and rather focuses on his relationship with the Demon Queen.

The point where this anime stands out and makes itself known is the content it actually contains. It doesn’t contain intense battles and powerful magic spells like any normal story of a Hero would contain rather it shows how the Hero and the Demon Queen work together in the war torn world to make plans to bring prosperity to both the Demon and the Human worlds simultaneously since if either side wins the war then that would be disastrous for the other side. The economic, religious and political moves made by the Hero and the Demon Queen, mostly the Demon Queen, is a sight to behold as they both make their presence known under disguises and introduce many new systems to create prosperity and co existence while also falling in love with each other.

The show is basically about the Demon Queen and her dream to see a world without war and that should speak to us right now, as whenever there is a bigger issue at hand we unite as humans and as communities and then break apart. There are always political and economic purposes behind war as shown in the anime and war isn’t fought only by the soldiers but also by the people who suffer because of the war. The theme is acceptance, as the Hero who is trained to be the Demon King’s killer and the Demon Queen who is the enemy of the Hero both accept each other and make their respective races accept each other and co exist. The humans are also shown to be cruel to each other and that is dealt with by showing the people’s pride as however different one may be, everyone is human. To shorten it, ‘War is pointless. Differences are but a part of this very world.’

The anime is great despite it’s flaws with the complex politics of the nations, it’s fun to watch and the comedy is absolutely incredible too. I highly recommend this anime to all, but please watch it alone. This anime is a one time watch, small, comedic with romance to enjoy but that one time is worth it so add this to your lists people.

Rap section:

Turn back the clock set in a medieval world,
A Demon King has the suffering observed,
The war takes a toll on everyone she’s concerned,
But a romance with the Hero she has preferred.

In this world of war and strife eternal,
She has an affection for the people maternal,
Wants to make the lands a little more fertile,
And in both world bring peace universal.

Experienced in the sciences that humans don’t know yet,
For the war of the previous kings she has regret,
She laments the past but she doesn’t forget,
Her promise to free the world of any threat.

Together with the Hero she can find romance,
She wants to be with him every chance,
She gets and with him she wants to advance,
All for them to in a free world share a dance.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

OREGAIRU – A teenage love comedy with lessons

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I saw a lot of posts about this anime on my explore page so it was only fair that I watched it since knowing only the end didn’t make sense and man this thing has some emotions. Better be prepared. SPOILERS for all 3 seasons.

The story follows three high schoolers with a fourth one coming in later but basically just three, Hikigaya Hachiman, loner and detached teenager who is pessimistic about the world, he writes an essay, ‘Youth is a lie’ which lands him in deep trouble with his teacher causing him to join the Service club. The club President and sole member is Yukinoshita Yukinon, a beautiful girl who is extremely smart and quick to insult Hachiman when she first sees him. The teacher, Hiratsuka makes a request from Yukinoshita that she reform Hachiman so he can fit in with society. Believing that the two loners can help each other, Hiratsuka leaves them be. Soon joined by Yuigahama Yui the club starts helping out people while at the same time going through the period of change that they have in high school and coming to understand and accept their feelings. Learning that they are actually joined by fate since the first day of school, the three work together to figure out what it is they want with life.

There are many other characters like Iroha, the cheery and goofy Kouhai of the group who joins them and acts as a real pillar for supporting Hachiman and the others. Then there is Hayama Hayato, the popular kid in class, the exact opposite of Hachiman, despite their differences he becomes quite an integral part of the story and the character development. There are many others like Tobe the goofy boy, Totsuka the one that seems like a girl, Zaimokuza a man with an interest in history so much so that he lives in a fantasy world, the rebel Saki Kawasaki, the little sister of Hachiman, Komachi. All of them make for excellent characters on high school and are relatable as we follow the story of the school and more specifically the Service Club and their adventures.

The character development and writing is what I love about this one. There’s like an entire underlying story through which you can see the development between the three and how they eventually learn and become into the people they are at the end of the show. The writing is absolutely brilliant and witty with Yukinoshita and her insults, Yuigahama and her cluelessness and Hachiman and his pessimism. All of this makes the characters feel rooted to their original way that they were written while at the same time they also evolve. The character development is symbolic since this is high school a period of chance and the entire show is necessarily about change. The concept of hating oneself is also very common and we see just how damaging it is. The show is well paced as well having heavy and light moments all the time to keep us calm and excited.

The lesson I take from this show is that ‘Change is imminent’ and that ‘to find something genuine one needs to work hard and be uncomfortable’. These are very essentially the themes of the show. The three teenagers show the three types of teens in real high school, the clueless and kind type with Yuigahama who just want to help and are internally selfish and resist change like all teenagers. The loners with an unexcited and pessimistic view of the entire world since they believe that everything is wrong, being the underdogs these are the teenagers who chase after their own thing and find their own cliques later on in life. The mean and talented Yukinoshita, the people who are excommunicated from the group because they are too smart and everyone is jealous of them. All of three of them are at first not open to change but as things get comfortable for them with change they learn to accept but when things are uncomfortable in their search for something genuine for the bond they share, they resist change more than before even though they give in to it later. But the show has one more important thing, the things everyone does for each other, it isn’t duty or responsibility, it’s love. The love in the show isn’t only romance, it’s mutual love of every being for each other.

That said, the show is absolutely phenomenal with lovely voice acting and music as well as great animation, all of which lets you really enjoy and immerse yourself in the story. The story itself is quite great with the character development and the emotions being something that one cannot really describe but experience. The feelings, the love. It’s all there. The ending is a hopeful one and one that can be pleasing to all, it ends with problems solved and more on the rise since the teens still need to deal with their last year of high school. A must watch for teens who’ve struggled with emotions and connection before or have hated themselves and really anyone who wants to watch some shows with genuine emotions. I really recommend Oregairu to everyone with no restrictions.

Rap section:

Take it a high school that’s actually high schoolish,
Hikigaya Hachiman eyes dead like a fish,
Wrote an angry essay for an assignment which,
Landed him in a club that’s basically make a wish.

Working with Yukinon the ice Queen,
Being popular is not really her scene,
Spews the truth and so she can be seen,
Like a person who can be really mean.

Joining them is Yui a girl who’s cheerful,
But don’t mess with her she can give you an earful,
So much so that she can make you fearful,
That when talking to her you’ll be tearful.

Three lives here colliding in a mess,
Even though Hikki wants to be involved less,
Once they band together they make progress,
Leading all upto an end for them to confess.

AOT: The legend of a generation

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. Man where do I start with this ? The beginning ? The end ? Let’s just go over it from the start. SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES.

Who would have thought that a manga about a young boy fighting big humanoid creatures would one day become a series so loved and so complex that the entire anime community would be waiting for the finale. Let’s go to the start and my theories about its end back then.

When I first discovered this series it was already at season 3 part 1 and so I binged it in a week and my guess was proved wrong that titans were weapons made by humans because the series was just too complex for it to be that simple. The fights, the loss and everything was just too much for it to be a reference to the cruelty of humans and their atomic weapons which led me to believe that the show was simply going to be about racism and discrimination as we saw the Eldians being discriminated against by the Marleyans and the rest of the world.

The rest of the story made me realize I was semi right with the story of the Willy Tybur hero Helos being the manipulation of the general public by the use of media and the news but by then I was so invested in the series that I couldn’t help but think that the series needed a proper end. It wasn’t just an allegory or anything anymore, it was a complex story that needed an end to its story and now that it’s here I’m touched.

It blew me away. It was perfect, nothing complex and nothing simple. The finale was the best. I speculated the ending to be a bitter one but man Isayama knows how to make it sweet too. The ending shows Eren becoming the enemy of all of humanity. It shows the pressure on his shoulders from being the founder and his own slavery to his ideal of freedom. Eren explains that he doesn’t know why he did the rumbling but as we get to see, it was circumstances, his very own nature, a combination of different factors that caused him to take a drastic step. The Rumbling isn’t justifiable, genocide is always wrong but Paradis also needed to be saved. This was a war where there were no right answers, simply because humans ha

The entire series though not a romantic one revolved on love as Mikasa the lover killed the man she loved and freed Ymir who was trapped because she found love in the wrong place, in Karl Frtiz. Love is important here not only the love that is romantic but the love of humans for each other. Eren loved his friends and yet he took the path which would hurt them for which he believed to be their greater good. He loved his friends and for that he took lives. The thinking we should take from this series is that we should care for each other as humans and also we need to accept the reality that even if we do, somethings might not change like the hostility between Eldia and Marley simply because humans aim for self preservation and in the process end up destroying others. Also we should learn to appreciate the simpler things in life, like running on a hill or reading a good book.

The end basically told us that it wasn’t as simple as deciding who the enemy was and who was good or bad. He picked which choice he thought was right, as a teenager. Life like that is grey sometimes, all we can do is analyze correctly and try to make the right choices. And lastly the theme of freedom which is so prevalent since the beginning is not freedom from the walls, from the enemies across the ocean or from titans. It was freedom of choice for everyone to choose their own rights and wrongs and make their own decisions. In the end, Eren was always free and it was because he was free that he did what he did. Everyone is free. And the bird, the purest form of freedom, The ‘Wings of Freedom’.

Isayama really made a masterpiece with this one and so, to the people 2000 years from now, if you manage to find out about the series, I want to tell you just one thing. Don’t worry about it, just open it up and read and it’ll draw you in with its incredible and complex storyline and if not that then just the action. Devote your hearts and complete the series. You are free. All these reasons and emotions and this incredibly crafted story really makes me think that this anime will be one of the best of this generation.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Saga of Tanya the evil – A thrilling binge

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. Netflix has some seriously good anime I’ll tell you that and though this one starts off the wrong way, it goes on to be one of the best someone can ever see. SPOILERS for episode 1 and 2 of the anime.

The story follows Tanya Degurechaff, a mage soldier in the army of the Empire fighting in a World War. The reality is that Tanya was a salary man in her previous life doing the job of laying off or firing bad workers for companies. Believing in free market principles and being an atheist, he lives his life as he wants that is until he dies. Moments before his death he is visited by the god of reincarnation who tells him to believe in the Creator in his last moments (something I found attractive because I also believe in the fact that if someone remembers the Creator or God at the end of their life, God takes them to heaven), refusing to do so the god now dubbed ‘Being X’ by Tanya decides to reincarnate him in a world where he is put in such a dire situation that he will have nothing to do except pray to God. Taking on the challenge he is reborn as Tanya in the Empire, a representation of a certain European Nation. Tanya now swearing to live an easy life as defiance to Being X begins using her past knowledge to be safe all while Being X makes moves from behind the scenes to make her life significantly harder than it should be. This battle leads to Tanya becoming an excellent soldier and constantly going into threats all to serve the Fatherland of the Empire and to defy Being X.

The first flaw I wanted to point out in this anime was that the first episode was confusing as heck and I only watched for the action and as the second episode cleared things up I was happy that I didn’t abandon it. The characters in the story aren’t that memorable since most of the time is focused on discussing war strategies and the like. The names are also difficult to remember but the characters do their job well in moving the story forward and bringing out more of Tanya’s character as the devil and a cold hearted person who stops at nothing to get what they want.

The show is comedic at the right times though the action sometimes feels too long drawn and the suspenseful scenes last long enough sometimes to take the feel out of it. The comedy however is good as it shows how Tanya despite working hard on her own cannot outsmart Being X who always manages to find a way to get her into trouble and for her to throw herself into combat and threatning situations. The action meanwhile is obviously worth it, the magic combined with World War 1 era equipment and warfare simply makes for a good fast paced action and combat which will keep you focused on the screen to watch each and every movement.

The main lesson from this anime is obviously the horrors of war but what I found more interesting than that was that humans have to submit to something eventually. Tanya who refuses to pray is forced to pray by Being X and though it doesn’t make her have faith in God she still has to follow the order showing that her earlier statement that ‘in a world so technologically advanced and matured there is no need to submit to a higher power’ is false as she herself cannot prevent her death but has to accept it with no other option. She claims to be fighting against Being X but instead gas to dance on his tunes so that she can survive. Eventually every human needs to submit. The problems Tanya faces wouldn’t have been there should she not have been such a stubborn person and simply prayed to God. The same goes for us, we wouldn’t need to suffer this much should we take shelter of God but at the same time we are also free to choose between that shelter and suffering that is what makes God great and merciful that even after choosing suffering if we decide to turn to him, he will accept us.

The anime is a must watch as a binge, if you’re looking for some action and you like World War vibes and tactics because that is all this anime has. Watch the devilish Tanya use her evil and stubborn nature to survive in a world torn apart by war. Great world building and the realities of the world shown in this anime make it a must watch for everyone who wants to have a good perspective on war and what it can cause as well as what happens when one defys God. Go watch The Saga of Tanya the Evil and if it intrigues you enough you can go ahead and read the Light Novels as well to complete the story.

Rap section:

Battlefield of the Rhine situation looks dire,
It’s a stalemate and now an ace they require,
One young girl takes rifle and goes on to fire,
She’s here to win the war not here to inspire.

So strict and deadly and she’s just a kid,
You’ll call her a monster once you know the things she did,
To people who did things that she forbid,
One sole magician taking over the grid.

She’s not fighting a war she’s battling an entity,
With God like powers who made her his enemy,
Who put her into this world as a penalty,
A good old salaryman is her previous identity.

She doesn’t believe in God and yet she prays,
To use her power so she can make her plays,
To make sure that her unit obeys,
As she’s making sure that Being X pays.

A.I.C.O. – A good concept with better potential

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. I immediately fell for this anime with the trailer and I think that my thoughts are very mixed. SPOILERS for the first episode.

The story follows Tachibana Aiko a crippled girl who needs to use a wheelchair. Out one day playing with her friends she falls down, her body has black tendrils grow on it which soon recede. Soon after she finds that she can stand and walk by herself now and no longer needs to use her wheelchair. She meets a new transfer student in her school, Kanzaki Yuya. The seemingly normal and unattached boy soon pulls Aiko into a world of thrill and excitement. Telling her that she is actually an artificial organism with a real brain and that her body is actually at Primary Point, the place where the Burst ( an event which made Malignant Matter, basically, tendrils like biological structures which can kill humans and is spread all through a river.) started from. Armed with this knowledge and having an assembled team with her, Aiko ventured deep into the Area, ( the place to Malignant Matter) to get her trapped family out of there and to get back her real body. Along the way, there are revealed secrets and loss which all in the end culminate to a grand finale.

The characters aren’t memorable at all, I even forgot their names, the characters are a team of four Divers, (people who go into the Area to retrieve things from there for a price from the client.) Two ex special forces personnel who have their own reasons for taking on the job and helping Kanzaki Yuya. A few scientists who run behind the scenes and are the actual cause of the mystery in the anime. There is little to no character development for the other characters except Aiko and Yuya. Aiko grows as a person throughout the series and Yuya shows his growth at the very end.

Despite such mediocre characters, the hothead, the calm, the lover and the show off, the show has plenty of action to offer. The Matter that they face isn’t just simple tendrils lunging out from everywhere, it takes different forms and attacks in different ways. The sense of mystery is very good in the anime though it is very very confusing and before the last episode you may need a recap of all that has happened to understand everything. Despite that the twists are actually pretty great and fun to watch. The sci-fi feel is really there in the anime and the post apocalyptic thing is there too. The nice robots and the machines all make it worth to watch the not so great characters.

I’ll say that the anime has a lot of potential to be so much more than what it was, most of time is wasted by explaining past events in parts which confuses the viewers. Instead they could have done it like Guilty Crown and made an entire episode dedicated to the last and what had happened to make it better understood for the viewers. This combined with the average characters is what keeps it from reaching its true potential as a great anime. The teaching of identity is really deep in this show with Aiko constantly fighting and finding herself and what her purpose is inside everything that had been happening. The ending is satisfying and totally worth the entire journey. A happy end for all. Despite the not so great characters and confusing storyline, you should definetly give AICO a shot.

Rap section:

Following a young girl in a post apocalyptic world,
Her injuries heal fast and that she’s observed,
Black formations on her body leaving her concerned,
She isn’t a normal human a truth she’s learned.

Years ago a surgery that went wrong,
To find a way for their life to prolong,
Now to make a difficult choice she needs to be strong,
To go back in the place that she does belong.

All is not as it seems and people around her lie,
All she can do now is to trust this mysterious guy,
Who acts suspicion but he’s a real ally,
Top tier difficulty people are going to die.

Tachibana Aiko needs to find her twin,
So that with her family she can again grin,
But before that a suicide mission needs to begin,
Because a man needs to stone for his past sin.

Reviewing: The Four Tendecies

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. This book contains some of the most basic knowledge that humanity absolutely needs to have. I was very impressed from the start and up until the very end.

The book is divided into four parts, one for each of the tendencies as they are discussed, dissected and dived deep into for the readers so that they can understand each of the four tendencies and learn more about people and how to deal with them.

The book starts off by explaining all the four tendecies in brief. The division is made in the basis of people following expectations, two mainly, outer and inner expectations. The tendencies being Upholder, Questioner, Obliger and Rebel. There is a quiz in the book which anyone can take to understand their personality and what tendency they belong to. The results might surprise you so you need full self awareness to answer the questions correctly and to understand how the answer you get is correct as well. The quiz can be taken on happiercast.com/quiz as well so go with whichever you pick.

I took the quiz myself and I was surprised with the answer, ‘Rebel’. I genuinely thought that the thing was broken and that a simple quiz was no one to qualify me as a Rebel and then I stopped myself, realizing that I was acting exactly like a Rebel, resisting outer expectation of me being a Rebel. It took a while but I got back to the book and read through it until I got to the Rebel part and boy I was excited reading it. As I read through I understood why I was a Rebel. I wasn’t a rebel in the classic sense of it instead I was a Rebel in my own way. Let me explain, I live a disciplined life, I have a checklist of tasks that I need to complete each day, I wake up and go to sleep at the same time each day, everything like that. I sat for a while and the realization hit me, I was doing this because it was different from what teens my age were doing. Everyone told me that what I was doing was different or weird or unnatural and that was what drove me, the ‘I’ll do what I want to do’ attitude of the rebels. I blog because I like it but, I blood regularly because people tell me that writing isn’t a career. Same for social media, people demonize it or tell me that it’s only to share your life and so I resist and share only thoughts and writings on there. This rebel attitude is also what pushed me to take a disciplined life on because people expected me to be rebellious and I wasn’t someone who was going to give people what they wanted. This self awareness led me to understand that I was a Rebel all thanks to Gretchen Rubin.

The book ultimately is a self help book which can help you be accountable to yourself and can help you get into the habits you want to get into while also teaching you how to deal with people of the different tendencies. Once you read the book you learn to profile and classify people into the four tendencies quickly and that helps you in dealing with them correctly and make great relationships whether it was at home or work or anywhere else. The in depth research that Gretchen provides also helps tremendously in people understanding other people and their tendencies. All in all my opinion is that everyone should read the book atleast once and learn to classify people. A must read for everyone, the book can be highly helpful to everyone and is for everyone so don’t think you don’t need it. You definetly do, but the choice is upto you, if you want to be better at communication and building relationships then get the book.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

Classroom of the elite – Thrilling and mysterious

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. I never really understood the hype for this anime but now that I’ve watched it I know what the people were talking about.

The show is pretty simple or not, it follows the story of Kiyokata Ayanokoji, a boy with dead eyes and a dead voice mostly disinterested in everything. He starts school at Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, dedicated to instruct and foster the generation of people that will support the country in the future. The school is the best and I mean the best, it’s got a movie theatre, a full on mall with everything from the most expensive electronics to basic shampoo being available. On top of this the students are given points to use to buy everything they need with each point being worth a yen. On the first day the students are all given 100,000 points and are told that points will be recharged on the first of each month. Kiyotaka is dumped into class D the place where the worst of the delinquents are kept and in this seemingly too good to be true scenario he and a few other students observe and contemplate and learn that the school is not as good as it seems and rather they have to use their brains to survive and further their own agendas to make it in the school with high stakes while also working out who’s a friend and who’s foe.

I admit my little preview of the plot didn’t give you much but I can’t reveal anything more than that because then it would be spoilers and I don’t want to do that for this one because the show is just too amazing to have anything revealed beforehand. The show has some surprisingly good music and good animation so no need to worry about that.

The characters are truly incredible with Class D having all the classic tropes of a classroom like the overenthusiastic and cute girl Kushida who’s popular with everyone in the class and declares that it’s her goal to make friends with everyone in the class. The central class figure, charismatic and cool headed Yousuke Hirata who acts as class leader. There is the class delinquent Ken Sudou who’s always getting into fights and causing trouble for the class, the classic rebel. Rokusuke Kouenji, the cool rebel who we don’t know much about. The shy girl Airi Sakura and finally the cool headed, academic, smart and beautiful Suzune Horikita who looks down the D class and declares that she wants to make it to the A class and will do whatever it takes to get there. Then there’s our MC Kiyotaka Ayanokoji who with his dead eyes and voice along with his detached and calm behaviour is shown to be a fairly worse than average protagonist only to be revealed later that all is not as it seems. Then there’s students from all the other classes all of whom have something interesting. Over the course of the show, secrets are revealed to show who is who and the alliances and enemies formed throughout the show all play a big role for one goal, the points and the rank of being class A. There is loads of character development and every character brings freshness to the show.

The show uses symbolism heavily such as Icarus and his wings, the concept of freedom which is heavy for Ayanokoji and even the differences between classes. As the school is made to replicate real life as closely as possible, there is deceit and lies all around showing us that the classic High School experience isn’t real life at all and if it really were real life then how different everything would play out and how cutthroat the competition actually is. The show uses a bus scene in which no one gives up their bus seat for an old lady and some of the characters being there show that though being of different natures and goals all do the same thing showing how even after considering ourselves different from others ultimately we all work towards the same goal.

The main high point of the show is how much of a genius Ayanokoji is and the way he works with Horikita and works his way around everything finding loopholes in the system and fully using the replication of the real life system of the school. All I can say that everything in the show is very good and each and every scenario as well how it all plays out with the mind games is really impressed. What I took away from this show is that looks are deceptive and that a philosophy might seem ideal at first but putting it into different scenarios might reveal its flaws. I really want everyone to watch this show atleast once and once you do you’ll be left wanting more with the stunning revelation at the end. There will be another season this year and I can’t wait. Go watch classroom of the elite.

Rap section:

Let’s take the track to the classroom of the elite,
Real good facilities enough to swipe you off your feet,
And the students in it are also a real treat,
Begin the session with an argument of a bus seat.

Charming personalities all over to take the lead,
You think you real the rules nah you misread,
To get ahead at this place you need to bleed,
Lots going on but one kid has different speed.

Kiyokata Ayanokoji here with his dead eyes,
He ain’t got no friends what a surprise,
He seems simple but his appearance lies,
To the students because he wants to rise.

He’s a genius beyond compare to the best,
Making moves making sure everyone passes the test,
At first glance with his actions no one’s impressed,
But hold your judgement until of his story you see the rest.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. High Rise Invasion – Blood, Gore and worth the hype

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. I saw this anime on my Netflix coming soon list and this was an instant add to my list, for some reason skyscrapers and masked killers just appealed to me and boy did it stand up to my expectations. MINOR SPOILERS BELOW.

The story follows Yuri Honjo, a simple high school girl who is suddenly transported into a world with tall skyscraper which are all connected with rope bridges. Yuri contacts her brother Rika Honjo who reveals that he is also trapped in this world and tells Yuri to stay calm. She witnesses a mask killing a woman and Told proceeds to explain to Yuri the workings of the world. He tells her that the stairs are blocked off and no one can reach the bottom and the masks are beings that are created to push humans to the edge of despair and commit suicide. Armed with this information Yuri is attacked by another mask whom she manages to defeat proving her skill. She sees the despair the world has caused and promises not to give in to the world and to meet her brother. Aiming to go against the rules of the world Yuri gathers allies and forms a team to fight back against the world as she learns more about it and understands the true purpose of the world’s creation as well as how to end it and save everyone once and for all. Along the way she faces off against countless masks, gets stronger and learns who her enemy is in the world. Learning that masks are but tools and humans are the ones who truly are the wicked ones.

The show has a wide cast of characters as well as masks all of whom are different and have different weapons as well as types such as maid mask, swimmer mask, butcher mask to name a few. The characters are all extremely well written and go through a lot of development having characters like, Rika Honjo, the brother of Yuri and a commendable fighter hismelf. Nise Mayuko, a girl who is good with knives, she encounters Yuri when she is killing a man and has a change of heart on seeing her kindness. Then we have Sniper Mask, the most coolest and badass character in the entire show, he’s a prominent part of the story as he is shown to be connected to Rika Honjo. Kuon Shinzaki, a shy girl who is special in her own way as she has the show’s most badass power and in protected by Sniper Mask. Kazuma Aohara a man with the power of ‘being closer to God’ something that has its own significance, he becomes an ally of Yuri. Mamoru Aikawa, the one who desires chaos and is the true enemy of the gang as he wishes to cause despair and chaos in the world. Apart from these there are a lot more supporting characters who are either minor in the plot or haven’t been explored yet.

The show is supernatural though it tries to be sci-fi too. It has a lot of gore and is really tense as it doesn’t shy away from encounters and does not have any lack of creativity in the different types of masks as well as the killing of people. The blood is intense but that isn’t the only reason the show is 18+, there is a scene if sexual violence which is there to show just how far the people fall in their despair. The pacing of the show is really well done as it gets in a lot of good fights and at the same time manages to get in comedy and explore the lore of the world which helps us better understand the purpose of the characters and their motivations. Also, there are just too damn many panty shots, careful where you watch this one folks. The ending is satisfying and foreboding leaving us with a lot of questions and indicates that there will be a season 2.

Over all the show is focused on despair and humanity and the tussle between the two in the characters’s hearts. The show shows how adaptation and staying true to one’s morals are the key to surviving in the world, even the real world. No matter how tough things get, Yuri Honjo never compromises her morals. Same goes for Mayuko Nise, she thinks that she’s throwing away her humanity for more power but she uses it to protect Yuri making her still stay connected to her humanity. The message that I drew from the show is, ‘Never give in to despair. If the world seems like it’s against you then don’t follow the rules of the world. And finally, never ever throw away your humanity.’ That’s all I have for this time people, please go watch the show and give me your reviews, the show is simply amazing and a must watch, it will leave you wanting for more. Give me your reviews in the comments or in the DMs.

Rap section:

A place of skyscrapers and masked killers she’s hurled,
A gun placed in her hand and she’s gonna kill with it twirled,
Gotta get back to a big brother concerned,
Name’s Yuri Honjo and goal is to end this world.

Boring life straight to a world of excitement and danger,
Can’t reach the bottom of the world that’s a problem major,
Instead of killing she’s teaming up with strangers,
All to prove that this cruel world won’t change her.

Enemies are humans empowered by a mask,
Break it off and you finish off in this world their task,
To kill but if you control them then they’ll ask,
The name of their next target they’ll kill and in the glory you can bask.

Stuck in the world no outside communication,
Honjo Yuri getting allies with skills of persuasion,
Gathering up people and with the combination,
Of their powers she’s gonna launch a high rise invasion.

BOFURI: Ultimate defense and ultimate entertainment

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. This anime was amazing and what I think is a must watch for everyone especially gamers.

The story follows Kaede who is persuaded by her friend Risa to purchase a game, New World Online. Since Risa can’t play because she has her exams coming up, Kaede decides to go in alone and play the game naming herself Maple, a different interpretation of her name. When applying status points to different characteristics, she chooses to dump all her points into defense making her immune to damage in the initial stages. Gaining weird skills by various means like getting hit by an enemy a certain number of times to get double defense or getting constantly attacked by poison and using potions to gain poison immunity. These weird skills along with her playful nature at tackling things get her rare items and makes her one of the strongest players in the game. Eventually being joined by Risa and others that she encounters, the story follows her discovering new skills and recruiting unorthodox players like hers and getting upto loads of fun.

First thing is that there is good music, I genuinely enjoyed that and the combat isn’t boring even when Maple is basically a god of defense in the game. The fights are tense and exciting though short and dramatic but in the end it all turns to be for fun and nothing too serious. There is a lot of good writing since the story is great and engaging with each new episode having new things to tackle and when there is grinding to do, there is always a montage with some good music which keeps the viewers engaged. Genuinely the episodes just flew by and I really enjoyed the series desperately wanting a season two.

The series does seem similar to SAO at first with the VR headset thing and the game having the same name as Sword Art Online but it’s nothing like SAO so don’t worry if you don’t like that show, (I personally love SAO) the show has RPG game mechanics like every other game show should have and they make great use of that by showing updates and new levels and floors being added which keeps the show open to new things. I personally think that they focused a lot on it being a game and kept it as fantasy like as possible and made sure that the fact that it is a game is well used. There are moments outside the game too like Kaede trying to use game moves in the real world and realising that she is addicted. There are events conducted in the game and it uses a system which lets time in game feel quicker than in real time and let’s the players feel like they’re in the game for days rather than being in it for just two hours. All this gives the game the vibe of being all serious at times and then we see Maple log out and get reminded that it’s all a game and that they’re all doing it for fun.

The characters are all well written with us seeing Kaede and Risa in the real world and their deep friendship which is what drives them in the game world. Risa takes up the Sally and focuses on agility and not defense since her idea is to not get hit at all. There are characters like Chrome who helps Maple initially and leads her to meet a crafter Iz who later becomes the crafter for all of Maple’s group. She recruits puzzle solver Kanade, skilled sword user Kasumi who uses skills like the breathing forms of Demon Slayer. She goes on to recruit sisters Mai and Yui who out all of their points into strength and become amazing hitters. All of these combined with other characters like Mii, the charismatic leader of the Kingdom of the Flame Emperor. The congregation of the Holy Swords who have the highest level players like Payne and Frederica, they are the ones who want to take down Maple the most.

As mentioned above The Congregation of the Holy Swords have Payne as the strongest player in the game, a traditional person who focuses on gaining levels and playing the game the way it’s meant to be played. The show shows us the unorthodox player Maple and how instead of simply focusing on getting stronger she focuses on fun. This sets up a great final battle which is intense to watch and fun. The show basically tells us in the end to carve out own route for life and remember to have fun doing it. A must watch for game enthusiasts and anyone who simply wants a good time go watch BOFURI: I don’t want to get hurt so I’ll max out my defense and please tell me what you thought of it.

Rap section:

Demand of a friend logging in to a game world,
Into an unfamiliar world Kaede is hurled,
Picked up a shield and a knife she twirled,
Leveling up and acquiring a shield pearled.

Unorthodox gamer she plays her own way,
The general rules of playing she’s gonna diobey,
All of these monsters with a shield watch her slay,
Unmatched defense and skills watch her display.

Along the line she forms her own guild,
Picking out players unnaturally skilled,
Endless monsters together they’ve killed,
From bottom to the top watch her build.

Powerful but she isn’t here to be number one,
All she wants is to play and have fun,
Maxed out defense and she can’t even run,
The journey of a legend here had begun.

Stillness is the key – A masterpiece by Ryan Holiday

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. Man this book took me a while to finish but it was absolutely worth it.

I heard Ryan Holiday on Jay Shetty’s podcast, ON Purpose. He was absolutely phenomenal person to hear and I loved his thoughts and ideas on stoic philosophy and stillness. I was so impressed that I immediately got this book and began my reading and boy was I impressed.

The book is divided into three parts, the spirit, mind and body, dealing with different parts of well being and stillness connected to these different parts. The book is mostly Ryan’s take on stoic philosophy while taking inspiration from a number of different sources and finding the teachings from the failures and successes of famous people like John F. Kennedy. The book inspired me a lot personally as I was going through a tough time when I was reading it and I took my sweet time reading and finishing the book but it was all worth it. Ryan talks of Chinese poems and teachings to help the people learn the stillness that people aspire for. In each chapter he first gives an example of some previous occurance from a person we admire from history and then he connects it to stoic philosophy and then gives his own advice.

I’ll talk about the first chapter of the book here to give you a basic idea of what the book has and what it holds for you. The first chapter talks about the legendary John F. Kennedy and the Cuban Missile crisis. Ryan speaks about how instead of simply going in and defending against the Missiles or attacking Russia in retaliation, Kennedy simply waited. He waited and waited giving hismelf time to think the issue over while also giving Russian generals time to think their attack over, this is what allowed the entire event to go down without a confrontation happening. The Cold War wasn’t something that just affected the US and the USSR it gave an important lesson to the whole world, the lesson of patience and stillness. Kennedy’s advisors had an immediate answer : The missile sites must be destroyed with the full might of the country’s military arsenal. Every second wasted risked the safety and the reputation of the United States. After the surprise attack on the missiles, a full-scale invasion of Cuba by American troops would need to follow. Kennedy however taking his different approach saved his country from all out war or as Ryan put it in the book ‘With clear thinking, wisdom, patience, and a keen eye for the root of a complex, provocative conflict, Kennedy had saved the world from a nuclear holocaust.’ Ryan goes on to talk of the ancient Chinese text The Daodejing and how examples from it substantiates the route of action that Kennedy took while also observing Kennedy’s life like his notes and hobbies during the time to teach us what stillness is like. He finally ends the chapter with a few words of advice like, ‘Be fully present’, ‘Take our time’, ‘Sit quietly and reflect’.

What I liked from the first chapter and what urged me to read more of the book was how Ryan deeply analysed and researched every little detail and with excellent explanations makes the reader understand the real importance of stillness. While stillness initially collided with my ideology of service the book explains that stillness is a state of mind, it’s not emptiness. It’s like the water in a bottle, you can drain out the water or you can wait and watch the water in the bottle slowly settle into stillness. That is the way for life to be lived, by keeping a still mind focused on service. That said, the book is a must read for everyone who wants calmness in their life so read it and let me know what you thought of it.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. In another world with my smartphone – mindless fun

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. This anime wasn’t like I expected but it was good and good good. There isn’t much to spoil but let’s put it anyway for the people who’ll scream later. SPOILERS.

The story follows Mochizuki Toya, a teen from Earth who is accidently killed by God ( kinda unbelievable since God, an omnipotent being isn’t capable of mistakes but whatever let’s move on.) As an apology for the accident God promises to revive Toya but in another world, a world of magic and wonders. As a further apology, God let’s Toya carry over one item from his previous life into the next, (excepting his clothes since he already gives him that.) Toya being a simplistic boy who isn’t even fazed by his death rather accepts it saying that, ‘nothing can be done now anyway.’ says that he wants to carry over his smartphone and God permits with the exception that he can’t make direct contact with his previous world just keep up with the news and stuff and use the camera and maps. Toya is glad to have this second and chance and decides to make the best of it by adventuring and making friends in this new world but along the way he has girls falling for him left and right and soon enough he has his own harem but like every other protagonist, he is oblivious to their affection.

The story has a lot of fun characters like twin sisters, Elze and Linze, who want to earn money and adventure in the world. Samurai in training Yae who wishes to travel the world to learn different forms of martial arts who joins Toya. Princess of the Belfast empire Yumina who is the first to make her move on Toya and asks him to marry her which results in her joining the crew. Then comes Sue, a noble girl who brings freshness and fun to the scene. Fairy ruler Leen, the King of Belfast and a lot of other people who all are energetic and interesting characters making the story better and driving it forward and the show does use all the characters well.

Though there isn’t much character development thought-out the series there are a few things that change such as the girls growing to understand their feelings for Toya and Toya himself thinking about himself and his own feelings for once instead of being nice and getting into situations. The harem situation basically explains that if everyone pits forward their feelings in a relationship then a mutual agreement can be reached that will be beneficial and satisfying for both parties.

The anime is basically more about living the good life, travelling the world, having fun, getting into trouble and being powered up by God so you don’t need to worry about anything else. There is combat but it isn’t thrilling or exhilarating because Toya is a all powerful being who can use magic to cure everything and defeat everyone though he does use creativity and puts in some effort for it so he’s not just totally overpowered. You could say he’s got skill but the combat is predictable and yet creative on Toya’s side. Basically don’t watch this if you want exhilarating fights but that doesn’t mean the show isn’t good, rather the show sticks to its formula and creativity so well that it makes it all the more fun.

The show is one to watch to lighten up your mood or just as something to watch in between two shows, I must say the show is fun and light hearted for you enjoy and not stress over or anything like that. Now it might look like there aren’t any lessons to take from this but I’m all about finding lessons in everything so let me tell you, relax. Just relax and let your stress flow out sometimes, have fun, de-stress, it’s not a big deal. I watched a lot of exhilarating and fun anime before this one but I must say I needed this one to just have some fun and relax. Watch it for sure and just relax, also the show is sexual at times and uses adult humour so please beware. A must watch for all if you don’t mind adult humour.

Rap section:

Lighting struck to the ground an accident by God,
Wrong guy dead a mistake that’s just too odd,
Yet this guy accepts his death with just a nod,
Revived in another world on his way to make a squad.

Mochizuki Toya in another with with a strange tool,
Takes a smartphone with him caused God bent the rule,
Unfazed by his death he appears all cool,
To the magical world he’s taking down people cruel.

He’s not the bad guy but he’s not a hero either,
To learn magic of the world he needs a teacher,
Meets a pair of twins who to make money are eager,
He’s not surviving he’s living the good life as a leader.

Exploring the world fighting off the monsters,
Everybody likes him even the youngsters,
Ain’t caught a feeling and neither a lobster,
Ain’t a worry in the world he’s got royalty as sponsors.

Cautious hero: Overpowered and overly good.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great 2021. Man this anime was good, I was curious if watching it but in the end it turned out just right like the anime. SPOILERS AHEAD.

Goddess Ristarte (Seems like restart and that has a reason shown towards the end.) is given the task to save S ranked difficulty world Gaeabrande from the Demon Lord. Being a novice she doesn’t know whom to summon and hence calls forward a youth who has good stats. Enter Ryūgūin Seiya, a youth with incredible stats summoned to the Divine Realm to save the S ranked difficulty world. However as soon as he comes instead of heading to the world Seiya insists that he train in his room before visiting the world. Having an Overly Cautious personality, Seiya sets out to defeat the Demon Lord of the world with his own tactics leading to comedic situations with Goddess Ristarte and Dragonkin team mates, Elulu and Mash.

The character’s of the story are lovable though not at first but slowly such as Seiya being shown as an arrogant, sharp tongued man who will do what he wants and even shows bits of cowardice. Yet as we go further into the story we learn about the tragic story he has suffered and how he is being a hero in his own way. He has a special phrase that he says each time he completed training, “Ready perfectly.” Which shows his dedication to being ready or rather overly ready. This plays out nicely for him since he isn’t overpowered and just mauling through the enemies like you would in a normal game instead the Demon Lord is cautious and sends (SPOILERS HERE SKIP TO NEXT PARAGRAPH.) One of his four generals to keep an eye on the starter towns so that the summoned hero can be killed as soon as he appears. Seiya however shows character even here and runs away on the first encounter going to train and not acting on his emotions (like a normal hero) trains and manages to beat the general without losing anyone. We always see Seiya as overpowered due to his over cautiousness but as we see the true story of Seiya we slowly understand that we were always seeing the endgame of the hero. Seiya had already gone through his painful times that every hero goes through and has become a hardened hero already and only levels up knowing that the world he is saving will need it and since he’s gone through the pain once he might as well be strong too. There is character growth for the other characters but for Seiya we don’t see any simply because we start at the middle of his story and not the beginning.

Needless to say this one is a comedy, a real comedy with some adult humour mixed in so be cautious if you don’t want that. There is valances emotional content to make sure that the audience understands the gravity of the situation. The humour is mostly caused by Seiya’s actions such as using secret skills on a smile the lowest of the low in the game or just world over here. The cast is kept small but lovable with some characters having one time apperances while others having a much bigger role to play later on in the story.

The story uses lots of symbolism like Ristarte’s name, Seiya’s nature and more and more while being comedic it also touches on topics like death and the loss of comrades (to which Seiya has his own philosophy). And as usual the question that I think the story puts forward is, ‘Does a hero really need to have the classic story always ? Does he need to lose everything to defeat the enemy ?’ the answer as Seiya shows is that yes every hero, every person needs to go through the growth needed to best the Demon Lord or the problems of life in the end. Also as Seiya shows losing is important to growth but can be avoided once the growth has happened, sort of like ‘Learn from the mistakes and don’t make them twice.’ All in all Cautious hero is a great anime with a core lesson and if you don’t want that then with its comedic stuff with balanced emotional content, amazing fights and good animation Cautious Hero is one anime you should watch.

Rap section:

Novice goddess Ristarte with a pretty tough task,
So for a pretty awesome hero she’s gonna ask,
Seiya Ryugin appears with his training cask,
Cold and detached his real nature she’s gonna unmask.

Training all day he doesn’t act like a hero,
Sending his foes that fight him to the ERO,
Attacks his enemies even when their HP has fallen to zero,
Ristarte regrets her summoning of this hero.

But the Demon Lord is quick and he knows the moves,
And to beat him Seiya constantly improves,
Of his method of training no one approves,
Watch him as all of them wrong he proves.

A hero with a tragic past leveling up in safety,
Goes all out against a level 1 with his level eighty,
But in performing his task he is never hasty,
Because he never leaves till he’s ready perfectly.

Avatar the last airbender: A timeless classic

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I know I’m late to this anime but man I surely wasn’t disappointed when I decided to watch this. SPOILERS for the anime.

The story which if you don’t know I feel sorry for you, follows a young boy named Aang who is an airbender, the last of his kind. He is found inside an iceberg by siblings Katara and Sokka. Finding out that a hundred years have passed since Aang has last awoken he sets out to fulfill his destiny as the Avatar (a being that is reincarnated in a cycle between the 4 nations who restores balance to the nations.) He starts by finding masters to teach him bending of the three elements he hasn’t yet mastered all to defeat the Fire Lord who has started a war against all the other nations and will destroy them if not stopped. Along the way he is joined by amazing earthbender, blind Toph Beifong also known as the Blind Bandit and banished Fire Prince Zuko who is on a quest to search for the avatar and bring him back to recover his honour.

Animation wise the thing is pretty good considering it came out way back in 2005. It isn’t the best with its pacing with some of the episodes being boring at times but at times things can get so interesting and the way they tie everything up in a nest little knot at the end is the best.

The story is brilliantly written with much of the thing being focused on travel, finding different locations and meeting interesting new people while also growing. The character’s growth in the series is what actually really drives the story and what makes it so much more memorable than any other anime.

We have Aang the Avatar, an airbender by birth. His story from before being found by Katara and Sokka is shown through flashbacks in which we learn that he was not ready for the responsibility of being an Avatar which caused him to run away and get into the iceberg. His story consists of him learning the elements, dealing with change and the responsibility of being the Avatar while also focusing on guilt of leaving the world behind for a hundred years, him finding the balance between his playful nature and the serious duty of the Avatar all of which in the end leads to him becoming a good Avatar and a true master of the elements while also sticking to his principles.

Then there is Katara, the Love Interest of Aang from the Southern Water Tribe. Her story arc shows us her dealing with change and growth and the trouble she gets into because of her trusting and helpful nature. She wants to learn water bending which shows her dealing with jealousy and fighting against traditions of the Northern Water Tribe showing that she teaches others to be flowing and calm and not be stuck on things that aren’t practical anymore.

Sokka, brother of Katara wants to find out what it means to be a man and what it will take for him to get his father to accept him as a man which he soon finds out was nothing more than just him growing up. He is the brains of the group and goes through an identity crisis at a time because he can’t bend which leads to him learning new things to find himself again. His warrior like nature and want for approval is shown in his behaviour which is comedic at times and also opens up new plot points for his growth. He’s also the only person in the anime to have two Love Interests. He is a wolf, capable alone and leader of the pack.

Toph Beifong, master earthbender has the shortest character arc which is fair considering the only growth she faces is learning is to let go of her stubborn and rock hard nature and be open to change and other’s opinions for once. She is also shown to be a spoilt brat at times but in reality what she really wants is for her parents to stop treating her like she’s a child and treat her like the master earthbender she is.

Fire Prince Zuko is my favourite character and has arguably one of the best character arcs in the entire series. His growth is even more than Aang as he turns from his violent and impulsive nature to a calm yet dangerous man. He is a banished prince and is shown to be obsessed with recovering his honour by capturing the Avatar but the things he sees along his journey leads him to change his path and become a man that he himself is proud of instead of working to make his father proud. Going from having an inferiority complex to accepting his own faults shows his growth while his scar shows that he has two sides to himself and when he is shown to be menacing, his scar is shown while when he is calm the non burnt side of his face is shown. Then there are the Agni Kai’s he fights which are meant to be fought for honour but in reality when observed none of them are actually honourable except Zuko. If nothing the series is worth watching just for him.

There are many many other characters like Azula and Iroh. The main point being that all the growth and the lessons that the show teaches and the character arcs along with the beautiful story is what makes the story really memorable and a real classic that everyone should watch.

Rap section:

Hundred years passed and now I’m awake,
Finding out that running away was a mistake,
A war has started and now everyone is at stake,
I’m Avatar Aang and a peaceful world I’ll make.

Southern tribe bender compassionate and kind,
Falling in love with a controller of the wind,
Name’s Katara and to helping people she’s inclined,
To become a master bender she’s leaving her home behind.

Sokka with his quick wit he’s the man with a plan,
Supportive of his sister and so his journey began,
For him to find out what it means to be a man,
And to understand what it means to lead a clan.

Spoilt rich kid but she’s a powerful bender,
When she turns up you better surrender,
Toph Beifong the talk to sight offends her,
Take a look at her skills don’t judge by her gender.

Scarface banished prince from a hated land,
Learning advanced bending from his uncle is his demand,
The scar on his face is of cowardice a brand,
But one day the whole Fire Nation he’s gonna command.

THE MILLIONAIRE DETECTIVE: OVER THE TOP

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I went into this anime expecting a new concept and I was not disappointed. This anime is something of a James Bond parody and a ‘What if Tony Stark was a detective?’ kind of thing but despite that it still maintains its originality.

The story follows Daisuke Kambe, heir to the Kambe group and a millionaire (though with his expenses he seems to be a billionaire.) He transfers to the Metropolitan Police Force of Japan, into the modern crime prevention task force which is regarded as a lesser task force than The First Division. He is met by Haru Kato, a man who sees policemen as heroes of justice and believes that the world has only good and bad people nothing in the middle. Though childish in their own ways, with Kato having a pure sense of justice and way of doing things, which we usually see in children and Daisuke relying on his tech and money to be reckless and do the mission as he sees fit, the two work together to solve cases and reveal themselves to each other while Daisuke’s true mission of becoming a detective is revealed.

The story has a lot of fun characters like Cho, the old and wise detective who knows the way of doing things and who taught Kato a lot, then there’s Takei, chief of the first division, Hoshino who was a previous partner of Kato, Suzue a woman who lends help to Daisuke, HEUSC an AI like JARVIS and a butler to Daisuke and a lot more. The reason I can’t remember the names of the other characters is because they are just there to fill spots and serve only one specific role. Though they aren’t memorable they are still lovable characters. As for the main cast, they are all extremely well written, have growth and we are given a deep sense of their character.

Daisuke is shown to be an arrogant rich man who wants to slap money on everything but later on we see why and how he uses his money. He uses it so that he can put his unconventional plans into action, like influencing traffic and then leading a high speed car chase through the streets to catch the culprit in a trap. His money exploits also give so many more chances for funny moments. His character is shown and developed the most when he forgets his phone and earpiece at home and has to survive without his money. During this time we also get a look in Kato’s life as he supports Daisuke and shows him the way he lives, that is a simple life. We eventually see that behind the confident and unfazed man is a seeker of truth. Kato on the other hand is shown to be on the journey to realize that he is a hero and not just a civil servant.

The show is comedic till the point it reveals Kato and Daisuke’s nature to us enough for us to understand and relate to them. Eventually the show turns dark and serious, though it is hard to take it seriously at first, it is through over the top means like death and explosions that we really understand what is at stake. The plot is something deep that is revealed eventually with every scene meaning something.

The show is amazing, with comedy and thrill all mixed into one big packet. This show is original and yet inspired from many. The twist at the end is really satisfying and the ending itself is pretty good so I suggest everyone to watch it, not as something to be connected to but as a fun way to pass the time. The show despite being a comedy does ask a serious question, “Is money truly the only.thing to care about ?” And my answer is no because Daisuke shows that he knows how much he can spend and he has enough to spend recklessly and so he does without hurting anyone else to get his money. In the end, money is shown to be a tool to be used only when you know how to use it.

Rap section:

Hero of justice Kato with a tragic past,
A millionaire brat is here to join him with a blast,
He does it all different driving in cars fast,
The nature of these two is a very sharp contrast.

Daisuke is here and he’s on the case with his money,
He solves every case his work is done and he,
Tries to leave Kato behind cause he’s a dummy,
But in the end these two always make things funny.

He’s not alone he’s got a task force on his side,
He seems so calm and cool but deep inside,
Is a horrible past that he has for long denied,
Gadgets and tools relative Suzue is his guide.

He’s using his money to do tasks that are prohibited,
Solves all the clues there’s no place he hasn’t visited,
He’s spending all his money every minute and,
Yet in the end his account says Balance Unlimited.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. A corpse is buried under sakurako’s feet: An incomplete thriller

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This is an anime you must watch, it’s for everyone except if you’re sensetive to the themes of death and the likes, if not carry on ahead.

I found this anime on Netflix and I was expecting a good mystery thriller and that is what I got. I watched the first episode which was captivating and though it seemed more philosophical at first it later turned out to be a combination of psychological thriller, comedy and philosophy making it a must watch for everyone.

The story follows Shotaro Tatewaki, a high schooler who spends his time with an osteologist, Sakurako Kujou. The story picks up at a point where they have already known each other for quite some time and so we get to see their already shared connection as they search for homes for Sakurako to make into specimens. The pair are shown to be already comfortable with each other, as Shotaro acts as a guardian to the sometimes child like Sakuraro as he states himself. They are comfortable to joke around with each other and engage in some truly philosophical discussions with one another as to the meaning of life, affection and sentimentalism. Together the two stumble into corpses and mystery cases which Sakurako solves using her brilliant and cunning mind while Shotaro provides as a contrast to her cold and detached opinions and also as the voice of the viewers. The cases though seemingly seperated at first soon come together in the build up to a villan that is as smart as Sakurako herself.

Symbolism is highly used to convey messages and themes and to connect the cases which if you are brilliant enough to spot you’ll figure some things out much before they are actually revealed in the show. The mysteries solved are truly incredible and range from homicide investigations to people’s disappearances to even something as simple as a white lie having an impact on someone. The cases are all very emotional and will truly let you understand that every case has an impact on Shotaro as he grows and Sakurako as she changes a bit. There is an underlying mystery as well which is explained in due time showing why a woman like Sakuraro took an interest in a high school boy like Shotaro. Then there is the opening tagline, “A story dedicated to those trapped in the past.” Which refers to the dead people and the living who live in remorse of the grief of losing their loved ones. It also refers to bones since those are the things Sakurako loves showing her to be trapped in the past with a secret that is very close to her heart.

The personalities of the characters are well developed as once established the characters all act according to their nature and don’t do something just for the sake of the plot. Every little action is explained and shows us a but more about the character themselves. Sakurako who seems to be a cold and detached psychopath who only cares for her bones at first is shown to be so much more with her actions and expressions to different things. She is shown to be childlike in her love for sweets and listening like a child when her grandmother is strict with her about eating something sweet before dinner. She is shown to love bones and has no remorse for the corpses and the death but later on as we dive deeper into her character we see that she is more detached that heartless and there are moments when even she can be emotional and vulnerable. Then there is Shotaro who acts as her assistant, voice of reason and shows us how a normal person would react to the situation. He is shown affection by Sakurako but she is also annoyed at him when he calls the police on things and when he doesn’t let her listen to loud music. He is shown to grow emotionally and mentally by the end of the show which is shown by the choice he makes at the end. There are other characters are well who help in one way or another with the investigation and are all developed emotionally with the cases.

Overall, the mysteries are pretty good, they aren’t something extraordinary but they are something that you would enjoy. The visuals are pretty good as shown when Sakurako puts on her gloves and is shown to be surrounded by multipe floating skeletons of animals in different colours as she says her signature line, “Now, let’s save this mystery.” Which kind of reminds me of the File of Young Kindaichi. The ending though satisfying feels like it is missing the last few episodes or a second season and for that reason I will try to get a hold of the Light Novel to complete the story, regardless the anime is a must watch with great animation, awesome story and good enough music.

Rap section:

Quiet little town with a secluded old manor,
Sakurako living all alone till she begins her,
Case solving spree against a mastermind planner,
Shotaro standing by surprised at her manner.

Mastermind genius only thing she loves is bones,
Diving in deep and solving various unknowns,
Quite irritable and when asked for help she groans,
But by helping Shotaro for an innocent sin she atones.

She’s solving cases like they’re a piece of cake,
Got good intuition she never makes a mistake,
She can’t let the kid down and for his sake,
With one look she can tell if a bone is real or fake.

No weapons her greatest tool is her mind,
At the first look she doesn’t seem so kind,
But when she’s with Shotaro combined,
Each and every buried corpse they find.
