Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. For those of you that read my post on the anime you know that I loved it and the manga just makes things even better. MILD SPOILERS because seriously guys, read the manga.

The story is pretty simplistic like it was in the beginning only the anime is like the opening to the crazy stuff that happens later on. Just as a brief introduction as to what happens after the anime ends, (by the way it starts from volume 12 but I suggest reading Volume 11 cause some things in there are different.) So after the battle at Nagoya Airport Yu and his group desert the army and start living on the run. Yu’s demon Asuramaru starts running wild trying to take control of Yu and he is kept in control with special enchanted chains. As Yu keeps fighting against the demon, the Vampire Progenitor Council arrives in Japan, we get to see some more badass vampires enter the picture, even 2nd Progenitors come to join in on the fight. While this is happening Ferid Bathory, the pervert that we all love and hate comes up with a plan of his own and Kureto Hiragi decides to find out the secret of the Hiragi family and the truth about the experiment of the Seraph of the End. As the journey continues, the straightforward battle between humans and vampires comes to an end as there are now factions of humans and vampires combined also in the picture. As the secrets of the world and the Serpah of the End are revealed we see that the humans vs vampires fight was but a trifling matter.
Now to understand the story you not only need to understand the manga but also the Light Novels, they are three in number, Guren Ichinose’s Catastrophe at 16, Guren Ichinose’s World Resurrection at 19 and The story of Mikaela the Vampire. Out of these I was able to only source a few of the Catastrophe at 16 volumes (It also has a manga so you can go read that.) I managed to get Mikaela the Vampire and World Resurrection at 19 as well and I have to say, I understand why the story needed to be divided into these Light Novels, first off I love how the story is beautifully interwoven together with the ongoing manga. The Catastrophe at 16 story follows the story of Guren in high school with his two followers and school mates who later form up his squad in the manga. The ending is amazing with all the despair and anger that is in the manga being felt by the reader, this volume explains how the world ending Catastrophe took place and how Guren and Mahiru, his ex lover, a strategic genius, the creator of the cursed gear and a lot of other things, were involved. We get to see a younger Guren and his squad and I love that as well as how the mind games are played in the story. The story is Guren is extremely important if you want to truly understand his pain and struggles and the entire story.
The World Resurrection at 19 story tells of how after the Catastrophe, Guren and his squad form the Japanese Demon Army, the backstory of other characters who I won’t reveal the names of here (believe me I wanted to discuss manga scenes in the manga section of my blog but I absolutely can’t ruin this for potential readers). The Story of Mikaela the Vampire gives us a look into the backstory of the perverted and eccentric Ferid and the amazingly powerful Crowley. Seraph of the End always dived into demons and angels and religious wars and the story of Crowley shows us how it all started and why the Vampires play such a big role in humanity’s greed for the power of the Seraph of the End.
Humanity’s greed is the biggest factor in Seraph of the End or rather not humanity’s but greed as whole is a very big factor, the vampire’s greed for blood, the human’s greed for more power and to keep on living. The mentality of not accepting fate and fighting against it for greed of life the consequence of that is what Seraph of the End shows us. That greed will always, always lead us to ruin.
The manga is still going on and for a while I felt like the author has lost his way and wasn’t aware of what he was doing (because a lot and I mean a lot of crazy stuff happened) but I feel that the manga is on the right track now once I read the Light Novels and I absolutely recommend everyone who has watched the anime and needs more seraph of the end.
So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this. Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.
