DEMON SLAYER: EVERYTHING NEEDED TO MAKE A GOOD ANIME

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. Demon Slayer has been on my list for quite a while now since I had been seeing a lot of memes about it. Needless to say I can understand the craze.

The show follows a simple boy Tanjiro Kamado who lives with his family in the mountains, one day when coming back after selling the coal in the city he comes home to a gruesome sight of his family murdered and his sister Nezuko turned into a demon, vowing to save her he runs into a demon slayer who after seeing the bond between Nezuko and Tanjiro lets them go. Training under an old man to learn total concentration breathing techniques as well as how to use a Katana, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to find the only demon who can turn humans to demons, Kibutsuji Muzan. Tanjiro meets Muzan briefly and swears to kill him and make him turn Nezuko back to human form. The show is mostly Tanjiro going on missions by the Demon Slayer Corps while earning the notice of the Pillars (the most elite of the Demon Slayers) and the man who runs the Demon Slayer Corps himself. Along the way he is joined by the cowardly Zenitsu who has a special talent of his own along with Inosuke the boy from the mountains who wears a boar mask.

The story is mostly action packed with quite a focus on despair and compassion. Tanjiro unlike other demon slayers feels compassion towards the ones he killed even wishing that they be reincarnated as humans once again. This very unlikely trait serves as a sort of closure to the demons that are slayed. My favourite part of the anime has got to be the training that Tanjiro goes through which sees him transform from a simple hardworking boy to a Katana wielding badass who has only one purpose in life. His care for his sister is what drives the story forward most of the times but he also has a sense of duty towards the Demon Slaying Corps and carrys out their missions with the utmost loyalty. Nezuko also has some badass moments of her own as do Zeintsu and Insouke. There is a lot of comedy to lighten the mood after each intense episode and there are also a few jokes placed in between the fights themselves. The character development is where the anime really shines because we see the motivation of each and every character, first Tanjiro thinks that he will take on Muzan and kill him all alone but that doesn’t happen because when he meets Muzan he sees just what kind of an enemy he is up against. The backstory of each and every character is beautifully crafted and we actually connect to them and their actions. Breathing plays an important role in the anime and I really love that because I know that breath is the basic of life and that when anything changes our breath changes so we can control our emotions by controlling our breath.

The animation is simply beautiful as each and every slice of the katanas are pleasing to look at and each and every special technique is also beautifully animated. The characters look phenomenal and the music that plays just puts it all together nicely. The ending ties in to the recently released movie which does deserve a review of its own but all I want to say about it is that it’s emotional and amazing. I think that the question I came up with from this anime is ‘What truly is a demon?’ and my answer is that it isn’t a creature that eats human flesh. A true demon is someone with no morals and ethics who will go to any length for their own selfish desires and as we see in the show sometimes demons can be humans and humans can be demons.

Rap Section:

Just a hardworking kid from a town no one knew,
My sister is very sick and it ain’t the flu,
My entire family a demon came and slew,
Got that natural charm and I’m building up a crew.

Got a purpose and now I’m trained with a katana,
My sister got red eyes like she high on marijuana,
I ain’t got no fear but there’s one thing I wanna,
Do and that is to makes things hotter than a sauna.

Learning concentration breathing flowing like the water,
Using special moves all of these demons I slaughter,
They think they can drown me but I fight best underwater,
I got a secret move that I once learnt from my father.

Allies and enemies everyone’s surrounded in mystery,
Found out these earrings I wear ain’t no accessory,
I’m never gonna lose all I strive for is victory,
Show me all the demons and I’ll make then history.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.
