Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. I couldn’t wait to finish the story of Demon Slayer and boy I am glad that I picked up the manga. SPOILERS for season 1 and the Mugen Train movie ahead.
The story after the Mugen train movie really picks up with Tanjiro now getting closer to his goal of making his sister human again and finishing off Muzan Kibutsuji while also getting stronger and learning new secrets about the world and breathing techniques. The story makes us meet more of the Hashira and learn about their stories as Tanjiro and his crew conducts missions with them. The story gets really exciting with us meeting Tengen first and having an epic arc before moving on to meeting Mitsuri and Muichiro and much much more. I can’t tell anymore about the story here because that would spoil it and ruin the fun for all of you, trust me. It’s better this way.
There are many new characters including more of the Upper Moons and the Hashiras. The author keeps up the tradition of providing a backstory to all of the characters which makes us really relate and have sympathy for every character that is killed be it the Demon Slayers or the Demons themselves. These new characters provide much more depth to Tanjiro’s character as a whole as he grows and develops through all this and becomes better while still retaining his kind and cheerful personality.
The manga shines in the epic fights that it shows, yes, yes I know that fights don’t look that amazing in the manga but the sheer intensity, scale and emotions that are in every battle made me shiver and I guarantee that it will make you shiver as well. Another thing that I just have to mention is how despite all the craziness going around the manga still finds time for romance between the characters and it isn’t just meaningless fluffy stuff either, the romance really adds depth to the characters and make us understand them better as people and helps us sympathize with them.
The lesson to draw from the manga isn’t much different from what there is to draw from the anime. Who is the real demon ? Rather what makes a real demon ? Is it looks ? or is it the personality. I think that with a demon like personality, one will get a demon like form but we shouldn’t judge based on just appearances, sometimes, there are demons in human clothing. Only a personality makes a demon, looks only complete it.
The finale is an epic battle. It’s emotional, satisfying and had me break my rule of sleeping early at night because I just had to finish the last battle. The Demon Slayer manga is a must read in case you don’t have the patience to wait for the second season or if you just like reading only manga. The new characters combined with the amazing battles and the emotionally charged scenes just make it all worth it.

This anime did things much different from the others and it could be so much better. It has a lot of potential and its worth watching but its incomplete right now so you’ll need to read the manga. Anyway let’s get the why you should watch it.
The anime starts off great with an escape room game expert Iride finishing a game named The Ones Within and then waking up in a jungle beside a girl who is later revealed to be Horror game streamer Karin. They soon meet other people like them who cleared the game ‘The Ones Within’ and were kidnapped from their homes to brought to an unknown place. The other participants are Kaikoku Onigasaki who plays Sengoku-period and Japanese-style games, he comes off as a cool headed and confident guy who can be deadly with a katana. He is nosy and explores the place initially before a revelation about his past leads him to want to get out of the island as quick as possible. Next we have Anya Kudō a fighter-game uploader who is violent and before being initially cold makes friends with Iride, he quarrels a lot with Zakuro Oshigiri a stealth-type gamer who covers his face with a masak. Oshigiri had his own motivations for being kidnapped and he’s the only one who wanted to be there for personal reasons. He carries a knife under a jacket and becomes good friends with Kaikoku, the two often working on keeping each other out of trouble and exploring the area. Himiko Inaba is a timid and kind nurturing-simulation game streamer and the most loved character due to her making food for the others and keeping the others from fighting with each other though she is easy scared by Kudo and likes to keep her distance from him. Yuzu Roromori is a cheerful puzzle-and-maze-game streamer who keeps the group’s morale up and is the only person who knows Iride from before. She is also a real part of the mystery as she hides many secrets but when the time comes she shows genius intellect and a strong determination. The last is Makino Aikawa a quiet and handsome love-game streamer who speaks in single words and rarely ever speaks full sentences. His gaze can make anyone fall in love with him and he sleeps most of the time. Though seemingly the person with the best life he had some serious issues on the inside which he never opens about to anyone but the others help up deal with it though unintentionally.
The main antagonist of this series is the Alpaca mask wearer Paka he is the mysterious game master of The Ones Within – Genome and the one who kidnapped the others. He gives the group tasks to perform and streams then to the outside world which people watch. He gives the group the goal of reaching 100 million viewers. Though generally shown to be fun and playing pranks on the group when faced with resistance from Kaikou and Onigasaki he shows his dark side to the group. Being the game runner he is shown to be the main link to the mystery.
The anime is all about the group performing the different tasks while causing all kinds of trouble and comedy. The group though initially cold to each other soon make friends thanks to the cheery Iride who seems to want to perform the tasks out of his own free will. Things get serious as the show progresses with the mystery of where they are and why they were kidnapped slowly unveiling. The characters also have issues that they deal with with the help of our MC Iride and they join the struggle against Paca to get back home. New characters also get introduced later but they don’t stay for long. The only problem with the anime is that it ends on a note that leaves it open to possibilities and leaves much of the questions unanswered.
Basically the show opens up more questions than it started out with and then leaves you there wanting for more. The show is available on the Muse Asia YouTube channel. Go check it out. I’ll be sure to update when I read the manga till then enjoy this joyful, light hearted and shrouded in mystery anime. I have also read the manga which is apparently on hiatus and the story gets much deeper in the manga and it gets much much more exciting and thrilling with new characters and new mysteries. I highly recommend reading the manga as well.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. You’ll either love or hate this anime so this is basically more of an overview and my thoughts than a recommendation.
The story starts odd pretty slow with an organization by the name of Shoshidai recovering a legendary demon sword by the name of Zsoltgewinn. The show goes on to explain that when a weapon consumes enough blood it gains a life of its own and possesses humans causing them to lose their identity and become the weapon itself, becoming Busoma. Then come the one who can fight against the control of the weapon and have some time before they become Busoma called Chyrsalis. These terms are important and come up all throughout the show so if you’re not good at remembering things then this may not be the show for you. The story’s protagonist is Gai, a boy who is connected to the Shiryu another demon sword which is bound to his fate. Gai while being recruited by the Shoshidai uses the Shiryu against his opponents while a wide array of activities go on in the back to fulfil a prophecy that will destroy humanity with Gai and his Shiryu being the centre of it while the Shoshidai tries their best to stop it.
The story is disjointed because you’ll see a character one moment and then the next moment there is something completely different going on. The Busoma aspect also makes it so that you have very less time to connect with the characters before they become a emotionless killing machine. This is the reason that many of you may drop the show because there are a lot of characters who do a lot of different stuff that at last line up to fuel the final battle at the end of the show so if you are ever confused have patience and if you don’t then I’m sorry to say that you won’t like this show. I personally had the patience to sit through the boring disjointed scenes and I really likes the ending it built up to. I’m also a sucker for swords, ancient curses, demons and the classic good vs bad stories so that is another reason I was hooked to the show. Another thing that’s bad about the show is that the perspectives are always changing and though there is a definite protagonist some might not be able to connect to it.
Now let talk about the plus points of the show, the animation is insane and the fights are really good and I really wanted more and more of it. The show has a few characters who are really well written and you can really connect to like Seiya Ichigo. I liked the symbolism the show presents like the two characters Gai and Shin representing Darkness and Light while wielding their respective inferior and superior swords. And how the message of ‘people having underlying hatred and their thirst for power is what causes destruction and violence and how everyone needs something to protect to fight.’ is really very subtle and lying beneath the disjointed show. There’s also the fact that Gai says he wants to live like a sword and when he sees what it really is to live like one he abandons the idea. I liked how there are sweet and tender moments in between the constant fighting though I would have liked the show to be a little better paced. The seemingly unrelated characters also in the end cause major impact and line up the events for the main characters, Shin and Gai. All the plotlines are also solved in the end with everyone getting what they wanted and a happy end.
Neutral point is that the show is more about how blades possess people using their own existing hatred and causing them to cause harm to others which in turn continues the cycle of Busoma creation. How you take it is your way because I personally liked that we saw how the weapons ruined the lives of multiple people from multiple people’s perspectives.
While not a masterpiece, Swordgai has a lot of potential and I’m not a hater but I would have liked to see some more work put into the show like one episode focusing on particular event only instead of multiple events. I really liked the show and all of it pays off in the end so all I can say is that you should watch it for yourself to find out if you will like it or not.

I’ll be honest I was attracted to this anime the first time I saw its poster because of how the characters looked and while the first episode seemed disappointing, the ending of the first episode had me hooked. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD because I barely controlled myself from going on and on.
Katagiri Yuichi is a person who was taught as a child to treasure his friends over money. Even though he is not rich, he has a group of 4 friends at school and that keeps him happy. He shares this strong bond with the rich kid and idiot, Shibe Makoto, the smart and serious Mikasa Tenji, the shy, nice girl Kokorogi Yutori and the serious and righteous Sawaragi Shiho. However, when the fund collected for their class trip which amounts to 2 million yen is stolen and they are pulled into playing a game that will help them clear the debt but will test their friendship through challenges. Forced to play the Tomodachi Game, Yuichi and the others in his group fight to make sure that their group wins and is freed from the debt. However all is not how it seems and Yuichi as well as the others in the group all hide dark secrets, all of which will be used in playing the Tomodachi Game. Will their friendship survive or will they betray each other? That is what you will find out.
This is another kind of series that has seemingly straightforward characters that slowly reveal their true selves and gain complexity. There’s the hardworking and friend-loving MC Katagiri Yuichi who at first seems like a nice guy but when he shows his true colors, he is a master strategist but he isn’t pure evil or pure good, his grey morality is the best thing about him. Shibe Makoto is a cool and airhead guy who struggles at reading people and situations. Sawaragi Shiho, a serious girl and smart guy Mikasa Tenji who have a connection to the Tomodachi Game. There’s our nice girl Kokorogi Yutori but how nice is she? All of these characters gain a certain amount of depth when their pasts are revealed and as we see how they deal with them. All I’ll say is that expect the unexpected with these characters.
Here’s the thing about Tomodachi Game, it deliberately puts the characters in a situation that forces them to think about their morals and creates mistrust. This causes the audience to doubt which path each of the characters will take and reveals more about them in the process. The show manages to set the tone well and there’s a good presentation of the psychological aspects and the inner thoughts of the characters. There’s good mystery in the show and it manages to keep it all fresh by constantly throwing new plot twists but these twists all actually make sense and add more to the story and make it even more exciting. What the anime lacks is pacing, it isn’t really bad but the pacing could be better which I hope is the case in the manga.
Tomodachi Game manages to show a lot of things such as how the things we see and assume are not always that way but rather are sometimes far from the truth. it also shows how we are conditioned to react to certain people and things in certain ways and human behavior, as well as manipulation, is certainly shown well by the MC Yuichi but what I want people to understand from this is how powerful and yet how sinful money is. Money is what can get these characters out of their situation and yet money is what got them there in the first place. Money is the root of all that happens in the series however money like almost everything else is neutral, it depends on how it is used.
The anime has 12 episodes currently and while I hope for a season 2 I know that I will jump into the manga very soon as well. The finale is really well done. I was excited and also kind of scared but I won’t spoil it here at all. The ending left off on a cliffhanger and hence I’ll be moving to the manga. I rate it an 8/10.

You must have already seen this one by now, the memes must have been on your timeline and the funny moments’ edits as well. This is one of the most wholesome anime I ever watched and was recommended by a friend and I almost didn’t take his suggestion, that would have been a mistake. Anyways, MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD, I mean what can I spoil here anyway?
Rival nations of Westalis and Ostania are in an information war with one another and in order to prevent war from breaking out, a Westalian agent code-named “Twilight”, said to be the best spy ever, is tasked with spying on Donovan Desmond, leader of the National Unity Party in Ostania. Desmond however is not someone who doesn’t appear in public at all Twilight needs to enroll a child in the same private school as Desmond’s son and get close to Desmond under the cover of being a parent. To do this mission he becomes Loid Forger and adopts a young orphan girl named Anya who is a telepath and marries a woman named Yor Briar who is a professional assassin. Loid does not know about the nature of the family he has created, and Yor doesn’t know the identity of her husband either, however, Anya knows the truth about them both and there’s only one thing she can think of, ‘excitement’. As Twilight, or rather Loid learns to be a good father and get Anya closer to Desmond’s son, Yor tries to be a good mother while keeping her assassin work under the wraps, Anya enjoys life with this new and somewhat weird family where shenanigans happen on the daily.
Twilight, AKA Loid Forger, is the best spy who has created an entire family to make sure that his mission succeeds. Yor Briar, professional assassin who wants to conceal her identity by marrying Loid and Anya, the orphan with the sad childhood and incredible power who just wants to live a good exciting life with these two. These are the main characters in the story. While these characters aren’t exactly complex they aren’t all simple either. We see that Loid has a reason to be a spy, Yor has a reason to be an assassin and still care for her family, and Anya herself has had a traumatic childhood and while mostly she just acts like the child she is, her childish innocence combined with her power makes her a little more mature at times. The major focus of the story is not on character development however it would be wrong to say that these characters do not develop at all, they all get their fair share of development. There are multiple other characters who all play their role in making the story fun.
The beautiful animation is the first thing that I noticed when I was watching this anime, each and every scene is well animated and pretty to look at which is something to be deeply appreciated because you can clearly see how much effort went into making the scenes look good consistently. The story though not majorly focused on action, does provide some really great action which when combined with the smooth animation is really good. The thing that Spy X Family does focus on, comedy, is absolutely hilarious with each and every joke, each and every moment being well placed to make you laugh out loud and release all your worries. Things also get emotional in this anime and while again that is never the main focus, these emotional moments only serve to make the story a whole more wholesome. The anime also constantly brings in new things to keep things fresh and exciting. Spy X Family does well what it does do but what it does is not much and while that may be a turnoff for some people, I wouldn’t call this a fault. The anime is focused on being funny and wholesome and as long as it does that well I will not have compalints. Sometimes though the actions of the characters can be dumb enough to seem unrealistic given their backgrounds and while Spy X Family gets away with it because it’s all for the sake of comedy, it’s still annoying sometimes.
Sometimes things don’t go according to plan and that’s fine. This is what Loid’s character actually shows, as a spy he intends to build a regular family to make his mission successful however his family itself consists of a bunch of irregular people, and that combined with the fact that every time something or the other gets in his way when he tries to execute his plans, one might say that it must be frustrating for him and it is, however, Loid never gives up and adapts and sometimes things change for the better and that is a beautiful perspective to have on life. Not everything will go according to your plan.
The anime has 12 episodes right now and has a second cour coming soon which means that more of these characters and that is not a bad thing at all. There’s not much to talk about the finale since this anime is much more about wholesomeness and being cute than the story. Personally, I feel that Spy X Family is a great stress buster and will make you laugh hard but that is all it is, there’s not much to it and for that reason, I rate it a 6/10.

I figured that this anime would be just a quick forgettable binge but it turned out to be actually really good exploring a lot of deep themes. This might be one of the most undiscovered and underappreciated anime of its year.
The story follows a Werewolf and a Jeager (people who hunt Vampires) , Yuily the last of the tribe of the Sirius. He seeks revenge for his village which had been taken down by Vampires. He is shown to be a skilled fighter though headstrong and stubborn he is also kind and loving. His group consists of memorable characters, the boss Professor Willard, the expert gunman Philip who has a love hate relationship with Yuily, a tall hulking man Fallon who is good natured and a handyman at times, Dorothea the right hand of Willard and weapons expert. Apart from these we have a military man by the name of Iba, a skilled katana wielding girl names Ryoko along with Vampire lord Yevgraf, Kershner and a lot of other vampires. The show is focused on Yuily and his quest to get revenge on the vampires while searching for the Ark of Sirius which is believed to be an object of immense wisdom and power.
The starting of the show is slow which leaves us confused as we are shown the different groups warring against each other. As the show progresses we see how everyone is connected with each other and how they are all ultimately connected to Yuily who is connected to the Ark of Sirius. Mysteries are abound and we are always left guessing as to who is who in the game of cat and mouse that is played. The show has some seriously amazing fights with gruesome scenes and though the frequency of the fights are less, the intensity and awesomeness is always there. The show is only 12 episodes so I understand that they didn’t put in useless fights and instead focused on the emotional parts and progressing the story.
I’m not a big fan of vampires and werewolves or that kind of supernatural beings because they’re always clichéd and are never anything unique. It’s like seeing the same thing over and over with just a few variations but the vampires and werewolves shown in this anime are impressive. One thing is established about them and that is followed all throughout the show without changing anything about them, the same goes for the werewolves who don’t even transform like the usual ones, instead they have something called the Blood of the Beast flowing within them as the source of their power. I personally liked the animations of their eyes changing colour and the way the fights are done.
Yuily grows as a character throughout the show, as we see his human side and his beast side both as he deals with different people throughout the show. Initially he says that he hates the, ‘stinking smell of the Vampire blood’ while at the end of the show he grows to understand that he must be good to all the races provided that they are willing to accept his help. While in fights and talking with vampires you would see his beast side, when he talks with humans Yuily is shown to be a much kinder and more empathetic person who loves flowers and knows quite a lot about them as he says just from a glance that, ‘the flowers are rotten at the roots though they might be looking like they are healthy from above.’ Yuily is a seeker of purpose as we see him first take on the purpose of killing vampires as a Jeager to fill the void in his life till he finally accepts himself as a Sirius and lives his life as one having found his purpose and knowing that despite being the last of his tribe he must continue on their pride and not be focused on revenge.
There isn’t much to talk about without spoiling the things that are in the show so I’ll be concluding now. The ending is really really satisfying so don’t worry about that. The shows talks about a lot of things like the difference between the bonds of family and the blonds of the blood, bond between brothers and how the immense power of legend like the Ark of Sirius is not something to be blindly believed in and rather must be used by someone with a higher purpose than selfish desire or it will consume them. A must watch for everyone, it isn’t that emotional but it still is emotional at times and the fights are great so there’s no reason not to.

Immense power and its safety that’s his purpose, He may be a wolf but he is never nervous, As he puts on tricks like he’s from the circus, All to bring true power to the surface.

This is an interesting anime let’s say, It’s got a little bit of everything but the main themes are the King’s power and the Voids. I personally think that you should watch a few episodes and decide for yourself if you want to watch it.
The show starts off with a fairly mysterious vibe and a beautiful song and we see the main character Shu Ouma questioning himself and his life, he talk about all of his problems like social anxiety and how he can’t maintain conversation for long. He’s insecure like everyone in the world but then he comes across a chance, a chance to change his life. Though initially weak Shu decides to take up responsibility because he wants to get to know Inori (his main Love Interest) a bit more. Through the craziness Shu accidently absorbs the power of the Void Genome giving him the power to draw out Voids, that are people’s heart that have taken material form, this power is called the ‘King’s power’ named appropriately as we later find out. After this Shu meets with Gai the leader of the Rebel group Undertakers who are fighting against the GHQ, the organization that supresses the people in the name of cleaning out the apocalypse Virus that spread in Japan on Lost Christmas. Gai is shown as an exact opposite of Shu, fearless and determined. Gai takes up responsibility for every life that he leads and reprimands Shu for taking the King’s power which was meant for him.
The show is set in a near future time so there are giant robots that are remotely controlled by humans called the Endlaves. Shu as we see gains extreme power when he draws out voids so much so that when he takes out Inori’s void which is a sword, a weapon appropriate for a King, he takes out multiple Endlaves by himself. The show then sees Shu transform as he trains to use the King’s power to support Gai and the Undertakers though initially deemed unworthy Shu soon learns to use the power and gets accepted by the Undertakers, this leads him to growing and becoming more mature as commented also by other characters. However Shu doesn’t realize that his connection to the Apocalypse Virus, the Lost Christmas and Inori and Gai themselves runs far deeper than he would have ever thought.
Soon things start going haywire and it’s one action scene after another until there’s a lovely scene between Inori and Shu and things calm down for a bit, to be honest if you look at the openings and the closing credits you can figure out the story as they change not too much but just enough as when Shu and Inori start getting closer they are shown walking together but then when they drift apart we see the end credits with the same song but with Shu and Inori walking in different directions. The romance is subtle and it is more of doing things for each other and sharing feelings because I don’t remember a single ‘I love you’ from the story but I do remember a lot of incredible tender moments. There is a lot of symbolism and reference from the Bible (which I personally have not read) but if you look at it the anime is a story of how a forced Adam and Eve would create a new world, a world for whose creation the current humans must die out. We also see towards the end that Gai was also insecure in his heart but he didn’t show it to anyone that is except Shu who though is called an Imposter proves himself to be the True King. The title is also justified since Shu is guilty of a lot of sins and he is connected to the thing that brought the Virus. The tagline of the anime ‘The right to use my friends as weapons that is the guilty crown that I shall bear’. But mostly he feels the loss of his comrades the hardest because he uses their voids and their safety is his duty as king that is why he bears the ‘Guilty Crown’. Some people also think that the string figure that Inori gives to Shu also symbolises his Guilty Crown.
The ending of the anime is bittersweet, the entire last 2 episodes consisting of everything from the fights and actions to the fates of all the individual characters it will have you in tears at the very end with the nice music that plays needless to say a lot of sacrifices are made but in the end those that survived are shown to have grown quite a lot. The show puts forward a lot of questions such as, Is forced Evolution correct?, can we decided when a new race is to come?, when the time comes will man truly be the species than will survive the longest? Alongside these there are also other questions but the main one is ‘What is Sin? and what does it truly mean to be a King?’. This is one of those anime that I expected to be overhyped and not be of much value however I liked this a lot and I absolutely cannot wait for a season 2. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD.
The story is about Thorfinn, a young boy living with his father Thors, mother Helga, and big sister Ylva in Iceland. He often hears stories from Lief about a land named Vinland which is far far to the west, a land where there is no war and slaves with fertile lands and peace. Thors however is not a typical man, one day a Jomsviking named Floki comes the village to enlist Thors who is a former Jomsviking in a battle. In a desperate attempt to save the village from being raided by Floki and his soldiers, Thors decides to answer the enlistment call. However, as they sail, Thors, the Troll of Jom is killed by a Viking named Askeladd. Throfinn, having witnessed the incident swears to take revenge for his father and joins up under Askeladd who tells Thorfinn that he will duel him if he achieves something great on the battlefield. What follows is a tale of revenge, of Thorfinn losing his innocence and facing the brutal world while getting dragged into a war for the crown of England where characters make power plays and schemes while he just wants his revenge.
I absolutely loved the characters in this show, they are beautifully crafted and given a great deal of depth and detail that makes watching them exciting. We have Thors, the honourable warrior and loving father. His character is one that keeps adding new elemts to the story even after dying at the very start, especially his definition of a ‘true warrior’. There’s his friend Floki who is loyal to the Jomsviking code. The MC Thorfinn a once innocent boy who loses his childish innocence once he faces the harsh world. His gradual maturity and him still keeping his core qualities the same makes him an intriguing character. There’s also my favorite character Askeladd, a cunning and manipulative Viking who I love for his multi-layered character and his plans.
Vinland Saga has some really beautiful animation that is worth looking at. This animation makes the combat look good and the battle IQ of the characters as well as the choreography of the fights makes it exciting. It also doesn’t shy away from being brutal with its scenes. The good music and great angles also set the tension of scenes extremely well, whether it be in combat or in a ming game. I personally loved the politics and power struggles as well as how they are shown because the focus is not always on Thorfinn but also on other characters and their own plots and motivations to do what they do. There’s one thing that’s bad about Vinland Saga and its that its sometimes slow and also that it is a very ‘hit or miss’ kind of an anime, I say that because while I loves the powerplays and politics, some people don’t people who expect a straightforward revenge story filled with action will be disappointed because it is filled with plot twists and the revenge is only one part of the plot.
I also feel that the anime managed to show really well how the people who thirst for blood are the ones who are unwise and young. Thors’ definition of being a ‘true warrior’ as well as us being shown how even the warriors we consider tough get scared in the face of death really drives the point home. Lusting for blood is something that naive people do and plays a great part in Thorfinn’s character and maybe will play a bigger role later on.
The anime has 24 episodes with a new season in the works. The finale is well done with a really nice climax that closes off the plot points but still leaves much of the story open, how the story goes from there will be interesting to see. A tale of a child losing his innocence to the cruel world, getting dragged into a war for the crown, mixed with good animation and music, Vinland Saga is definitely a 8/10.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. I found out about this book from Jay Shetty’s podcast and I just had to check it out so let’s get into it.
There’s no better way to explain leadership than for a soldier to explain it. Leaders in the army need to make decisions that can lead to the life or death of themselves and their comrades. This is the sole reason why I picked up the book and it was a very good decision. By talking about how using the most uncomfortable thing for any person ‘ownership’ one can become a great leader, Jocko and Leif set the standards for leaders up high and also give us the tools to reach those standards.
The book is told from switching perspectives between Jocko and Leif with them giving accounts of their missions as SEALS in Ramadi. While they give many exciting accounts of their missions the main theme is always to provide us with an idea of how a principle works and how it should be implemented. By discussing how a principle works both on the battlefield and in the buisness world, a clear picture is set about the principles that are required for a leader.
Now for the two tactis that I loved the most from the book. The first is to ‘Keep it simple’. Sounds really really anti-climactic right ? This is supposed to be one of my favourite principles and yet it sounds so simple. Well it’s my favourite because unknowingly I have been implementing this in my life. I haven’t always been in a great leadership position in my life but for the time that I have been, I knew that I liked to keep it simple. I wasn’t the type to call in a meeting with everyone and have everyone go through an entire list of what needs to be done in a very formal manner. I would simple say what was needed and move towards the execution phase and the reason it helped was because by keeping it simple everyone understood what they needed to do and was able to work much much more efficiently than if we had devised 1000 clauses of rules instead of setting basic rules.
Another thing that the book talks about which I liked was the prioritise and execute move. I have to admit, I always multitask and have tons of things to do which I try to finish at the same time and I always messed up in the end. What’s so great about this tactic is that it can be used both for a team as a leader and for an idividial as well. For a leader, he can choose the most important project that needs to be worked on and for an individual he can select what part of the project assigned to him is most important for him to finish and start working on it creating an efficient work flow.
The book with its many accounts of exciting SEAL adventures and principles which are explaiend in a very simple method is a must read for every leader in the world not only for themselves to lead more efficiently but for their team to work more efficiently and be more satisfied instead of stressed with their work. While Extreme Ownership may seem tough at first, please know that by executing it you will be able to break through the initial discomfort and become a much better leader. My journey with the Big 3 has been completed now. I have finally caught up to One Piece and before you guys attack me for the title, no, I don’t think that One Piece is bad, I just think that it isn’t “peak fiction” like the toxic One Piece fans claim it to be. Now I won’t spoil a lot here like I’ll just name-drop a few characters but as you already know, MILD SPOILERS AHEAD.
The story begins with the execution of the Pirate King, Gold Roger who tells the world that his entire treasure has been hidden and the world can find it, this treasure is named the One Piece. Roger’s declaration sets off a new age in the world, the Age of Pirates. Elsewhere on a small island a boy named Luffy is talking a pirate who has come to his island named Shanks. Luffy always insists on going along with Shanks to the open sea but Shanks refuses each time. This time however Shanks has brought with him, a devil fruit, fruits that give humans abilities and in return take away their ability to swim. Luffy eats this fruit called the Gomu Gomu fruit and becomes a rubber man with his entire body being able to stretch. Shanks gives Luffy his straw hat and asks him to return that when he is a great pirate. Years later, Luffy who has now mastered his powers sets out to sea with one dream in mind, to be the Pirate King.
One Piece has a lot of characters and rarely forgets them because every single character that you see will somehow affect the story later on. However, One Piece has a lot less character development than most manga out there but that doesn’t make it less fun. There’s the MC Luffy, a carefree and compassionate and sometimes smart kid who wishes to be the King of Pirates. We have the mature and mysterious Shanks who plays a more background role in the story. There’s the loyal swordsman Zoro who is on a quest to fulfill a promise. We have the smart thief, Car Burglar Nami who might just be one of the better written morally grey characters in the series. We have the sharpshooter, liar and proud pirate Ussop. And last but certainly not the least, the strong and honourable chef Sanji. There’s many, many more characters but there’s only so much I can talk about.
The manga has some great art despite the time it comes from. It’s funny with its humor though nothing too great. It can get you emotional at the right moments and it really makes those moments count. The backstories are amazing as well and really show a well crafted world as it should because the strongest point of One Piece is it’s world building. There’s exciting fights and creative battle tactics which more than make up for the lack of fear of a character’s death because this is a manga from the 90s. There’s some really amazing plot twists that will leave you speechless at times but the problem also comes in that it acts like a Shonen and has plenty plot armour moments. The manga is more focused on adventure than the plot and while the plot does move forward due to the adventures, it can at sometimes feel that the adventure is useless when you’re chasing after the deeper plot (like me). The manga does talks about some issues in the latter half but it never is able to go deep into them. It has those issues more as subtext than as themes. It also misses out on character development a lot of times. There’s also the fact that it requires a lot of patience like Higurashi if you’re the type that loves a deep plot full of mysteries and stuff like that.
There’s lots of things that One Piece can teach you, you can learn one thing each arc however, the one I’ll pick out for now is that it makes you reflect on what true treasure is because for some people it’s gold or something of value, for some it’s a thing that may not be of monetary value. This is something that will hit heavy for us because we live in a materialistc world and people that like different things will understand that different things matter to different people.
The manga is currently ongoing at 1049 chapters. The end may just be in sight but I cannot say for sure. There are a lot of plotlines that need to be tied up and I do think that Oda needs to be trusted here because after all his work is the type that connects the dots further down the line. While it may not be “peak fiction” as the toxic One Piece fans claim that it is, One Piece is a really good shonen that while having its faults, is a story that makes up for those faults and provides a very enjoyable experience.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe and healthy. This is an amazing manhwa and I understand the craze for it after I read it and I’m gonna explain it to you guys as well.
The story begins with the death of King Grey, a King in a world where nations are decided as powerful or weak by duels between their kings who work not as monarch but more as warriors. Now taking birth in a new world as a boy names Arthur. Initially confused, King Grey slowlsy starts adjusting to his new life as Arthur. Learning about the new world and its magic which is used by mana, he finds out all about his new world, about augmenters and conjurers and how he is special in this new world. Arthur devotes his time to studying about the world and gaining strength to protect his family and all the people he holds dear. Intitally loving a peaceful life, a bandit attack turns Arthur’s life around when he finds out that his new world has many more secrets than he has imagined and even his death in his previous life as King Grey might be connected to it. On a quest to get stronger and gather allies we follow Arthur through an exciting journey of different stages of his life watching his turn into an incredible badass.
The characters are abundant in the manhwa (yes I’m just lazy and don’t want to write the entire name again and again so I’ll just refer to it as the manhwa). From the start we see Arthur’s parents, his carefree and easygoing father and his protective and yet understanding mother. There are many many more characters such as the Twin Horns group of adventurers, who are connected to Arthur’s father. There are many many more characters that I just can’t spoil because it would ruin your reading experience (manhwas are like that). Just know that Arthur goes through some very nice character development as do some of the other characters and each of them have such unique personalities that the author can really make you hate the characters he wants you to hate and love the characters he wants you to love.
The manhwa flourishes in its beautiful art and action. I know many people would choose the storytelling as another factor but for me the action was much much better even if it was not present as much in the beginning. From the start of the show we are able to see Arthur be a badass, even as a child he uses the knowledge and skills from his old life to get stronger and as he gets older, his sword skills are something to be admired. The action is thrilling and always my favourite part. That said, I don’t think that the story is lacking in any way, there’s such a nice balance between action and funny moments and believe me the author knows how to do comedy. The storytelling is deep, it knows how to keep you intrigued in what’s currently going on while also slowly building up the bigger plot in the background which keeps a sense of mystery. Overall I don’t think there’s any bad points about the manhwa except that fact that the story is kind of slow in building up.
The lesson to pull from this manhwa is about second chances. Yes, we might not always get reincarnated into another world and get an entire second shot at life but that doesn’t mean that we don’t get second chances in life and when we do we must remember what we did wrong the first time and learn from it. There’s also the constant growth that Arthur shows. He’s all noble and mature since he’s a King but also keep on learning and growing throughout the story. He doesn’t only lean of magic, mana and new skills but also how to deal with emotions and feelings, something he didn’t have the time to learn in his life as King Grey. We too need to keep an open mind and keep on learning. The last thing that I learned is to not act on impulse and rather act only when prepared. I won’t reveal when but Arthur shows this quality when he has a chance to get revenge but he doesn’t simply because he isn’t strong enough to deal with the repercussions which leads to him preparing himself as we must too in life.
The manhwa is currently ongoing at 117 chapters and the story is picking up the pace with lots of new enemies coming into the picture and Arthur being the invincible badass that he is. With an engaging story, thrilling combat and a nice romance, The Beginning after The End is going well and shows no sign of stopping so I high reccomend catching up now and experiencing the incredible story.

Mana in the new world he’s awakening as an infant, Becoming strong and different that’s his new commitment, It doesn’t matter which enemy comes he’s indifferent, He’s taking down enemies and any human delinquent.
Getting lost and he’s made a powerful friend, His family in this new world he’s gonna defend, Even though he’s strong like he’s weak he’s gonna pretend, This ain’t the death of King Grey it’s the beginning after the end.

The story starts with Sakuta, a second year high schooler who is straightforward, a loner and calm. He wakes up to read a notebook on his desk which is a diary, which tells him of an encounter with a Bunny girl at the library. The story shifts back in time to the date mentioned in the notebook where Sakuta sees a girl in a bunny girl outfit walking around the library. After seeing that Sakura is the only one who is still able to see her she warns him not to tell anyone of what he saw. Sakuta finds out that the girl he met is Sakurajima Mai, a third year at his school who is also an actress and celebrity. Dubbing Mai’s problem of people not being able to see her as Puberty Syndrome, Sakura sets out to help Mai and in the process other girls who are all suffering from Puberty Syndrome as he deals with his own demons of the past and his own experience with Puberty Syndrome.
The characters are real and I don’t mean that they’re actual people but that they act like actual people with their emotions. There’s Sakuta who is calm and straightforward, he is the personality of many loners in high school, he isn’t affected by his lack of friends and rather enjoys his own company, he is alone but not lonely. There’s Sakurajima Mai, the bunny girl Senpai who gives the show it’s name, she is a well written character showing how hard it is to be someone popular and her relationship with Sakuta shows that and they’re just wholesome. There’s the junior Koga, the second choice who is a brat who wants things to go her way, her charatcer arc is all about accepting that things won’t go her way at times. There’s Futaba Rio who is a scientist with no energy and the one who tries to scientifically explain the Puberty Syndrome cases, her character arc is about accepting one’s own self. There’s Sakuta’s own sister Kaede whose character arc is all about pushing outside the comfort zone. There’s Nodoka who learns how to deal with envy and jealously. There are a few more side characters who add to the plot and make it interesting.
The anime shines in the way it displays the character’s emotions so really. Emotions aren’t 2D, they’re complex, 3D and the show manages to make us understand that very well with some of the characters experiencing multiple emotions at once and learning to sort through that. The anime has lots and lots of wholesome moments and the dynamics of Sakuta and Mai’s relationship are so well done. That said, the show has good pacing and does charatcer arcs very well.
The anime’s themes are a lot, feeling inferior, pressured, hating oneself, envying others, trying to fulfill one’s dreams and of course the one theme that must be there in every anime set in high school. Change. I’ll talk about hating oneself because that was the most real arc in the entire story. SPOILERS FOR FURTHER INTO THE STORY HERE. PLEASE SKIP TO NEXT PARAGRAPH IF YOU DON’T WANT TO READ IT. Futaba Rio is a girl who hates herself because of her body, while at first her case seems to be about not being able to confess her feelings to a boy it actually is about her deep rooted hate of herself and as Sakuta deals with her problem she learns to accept her own desires and in turn her own self and while she doesn’t miraculous start loving herself she does take a step close to it and that’s what matters because it’s impossible to make such a big change in just a day and that’s just like us in life, we can’t change in a day but we can take small steps.
The finale is well done and while it doesn’t wrap up the story fully, it shows that there’s more to come which is in the movie and the light novels and provides a good end. The show has amazingly well done character arcs and a good story about people dealing with their own mental instability and problems. With a great pacing and hilarious comedy, this 13 epsiode, 1 movie anime is worth a watch.

I decided to catch up to the Naruto continuation before getting to One Piece and I don’t exactly regret it but Boruto wasn’t the greatest for me. Let’s MILD SPOILERS AHEAD as usual.
This story continues after the ending of Naruto where Naruto is the 7th Hokage after Kakashi stepped down out of his own free will. Now married to Hinata and having 2 kids Boruto and Himawari, Naruto spends his days in peace as a good Hokage while Sasuke, who had a child with Saukra named Sarada, works in the shadows to help Naruto comtinue his duties. Boruto however unlike his father is a brat who plays pranks for attention from his father and doesn’t respect the ninja way. However events conspire beyond his knowledge that leads to him respecting the way of the ninja to face a greater threat, the Otsutsuki clan.
I’ll say it like the manga does, this is Boruto’s story hence the major focus of the story is on Boruto amd his development along with a few other characters. Unlike Naruto, Boruto doesn’t focus on the other characters as much so much so that I don’t even remember some of their names but let’s discuss the ones that I do remember. We have Boruto who in initially a brat acting to get attention bur grows to respect ninja. Sarada who is the total opposite of her mother and dreams to be Hokage. We have Shikdai some of Shikimaru and Shinki, son of Gaara both of whom have little significance. We have Kawaki who is an integral part of the story with Boruto and is the kind of character that you grow to like slowly. Our two heroes from the previous story, Naruto and Sasuke also play a major role but let’s just say that all we see in terms of character is how they aren’t exactly ideal fathers.
I didn’t expect much out of Boruto due to the reviews people gave me on it but I’ll outright say that the start of it is very boring with Boruto just being a brat. The scale is definitely higher but seeing big things like using Kurama mode for enemies in the start of the story just made me feel uneasy at times. There are not as many hype moments at the start as I like to call them because the story feels bland and nothing really hits for a while. Also the fact that there’s less ninjutsu this time around or rather less new ninjutsu so I see a lack of creativity. It also takes a while to get into the story. However the art in Boruto is great and once it starts getting good it’s actually pretty decent.
Kawaki, an important part of the story shows us something very good, ‘People are who they choose to be.’ and that means that no matter how hollow someone might be or how lost they might be in the end they are not who someone dictates them to br but it’s their inherent nature and their own choices that shape them into the person they want to be and I really liked seeing that because that is something I discuss a lot in real life.
Boruto is running at 69 chapters as of the time of writing and I honestly have no idea whether we’re approaching an ending or not. All I know is that Boruto is not as good as Naruto was, takes a while to get into and is just decent at its best. I’m only reading it to see what led to the first page of the first chapter and because I don’t like leaving things half finished. All I’ll say is don’t expect great things.

My second manga had to be Naruto because I want to save the longest for the last. Naruto is something nearly everyone has heard of and I think I know why now. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD. Let’s go.
This story follows Uzumaki Naruto, a child in the village of Konoha who is ostracised because he has the demon fox, 9 tails sealed inside him. Years ago when the demon fox attacked Konoha, the Fourth Hokage sealed him up inside Naruto and the Third Hokage forbade anyone from speaing about it. Naruto hence spends his life as an orphan troublemaker whose only friend is his teacher Iruka. Naruto dreams to be Hokage one day to make the entire village accept him and in that process becomes a part of Team 7 which consists of Uchiha clan prodigy Sasuke, Sakura Haruno and team leader Kakashi Hatake. As Naruto works his way up to the hokage there are countless perils as the ninja world moves with the demon fox within Naruto playing a major part.
The cast is wide in Naruto and when handling such a big cast the problem is to give them all development and make them memorable. Naruto handles this fairly well because while Naruto grows quite a lot throughout the series while keeping his core principles the same, Sasuke and Sakura (no matter what the memes say) also get development combined with the rest of the large variety of cast presented to us. Naruto shows the traits of being an orphan in his antics to gain attention. There’s Konohamaru who wants his own identity seperate from his family name. Sakura who is an airhead and loves Sasuke. Uchiha Sasuke a cold hearted man who is consumed by his desire for vengeance for his clan. Kakashi Hatake, the strong and awesome teacher figure and a lot more.
The thing that drew me in towards Naruto was how emotional from the start and I don’t want to gove up spoilers but that was an amazing starting chapter. There’s some pretty art in the manga especially the dual page spreads that as just insane. There’s some pretty good humour with Naruto and Jiraya (don’t google the name, trust me you don’t want spoilers) being at the centre of it. There’s also amazing action that shows some creative ways to use ninjutsu and now just a slugfest. There’s a decent amount of world building and while it may be confusing at times, it is still good. The best thing can be the good development in the characters as I’ve mentioned before. There’s a sense of mystery at times and multiple plots move at the same time which when combined with the plot twists are amazing. There’s also good lore and power system. And of course it has its fair share of problems such as plot armour but I feel that the good outweighs the bad, of course that doesn’t mean the manga is perfect.
The way Naruto is treated at the beginning of the manga combined with the actions and ideologies of many other characters a message stands very clear, hate is easy but love is difficult and so many times in life we as humans take the easy way and just go in blindly with hate but it’s so tough to actually forgive someone once justice has been served and to accept and love them. That’s something we can all learn.
Naruto finishes at 700 chapters with an epic finale that doesn’t forget its characters and will make you emotional to say the least. Now I’ve seen so many people shit on Naruto and say it’s only good because of the “nostalgia” and I agree, Naruto has many problems but I disagree that nostalgia is what makes Naruto good rather its the simple concept and yet the complex plot within combined with its amazing cast that makes it great. I’ll be beginning Boruto soon and after that my greatest and longest manga yet, One Piece.

The story is about Majino, an orphan in high school who is extremely good at fighting. He meets with 1st year girl Yeji who clicks a picture of him and finds his look-alike on SNS. Intrigued, the two go to meet Majino’s body double, Jin Jintae who is from a good family but is bullied heavily in his school. However before their meeting can take place, Majino is mistaken for Jintae and is picked on which leads to a beatdown by Majino while Jintae takes drastic action. Majino has a meeting with Jintae’s father who offers Majino a deal, until Jintae is well, Majino will act as his body double and pass off as him in school. However, Jintae’s bullies as well as Jintae’s family all have secrets that leave Majino looking for answers. What does he find at the end of his search ? What is his connection to Jin Jintae ? That is what we find out in this gripping tale that starts as a revenge on bullies but develops into something much more.
The characters might seem generic and boring at first glance with Majino being the delinquent orphan, Yeji being the enthusiastic friend who always helps out and Jintae being a weak bullied kid and while this is how they are at the beginning of the manhwa we gradually get to see more sides to these characters and how they actually are. Majino who seems to be only a delinquent is shown to be sympathetic when he feels the pain that Jintae felt in the life that he lived, we don’t see just a delinquent but a normal orphan who is also a person. There’s Jintae who is surrounded by secrets and while he seems straightforward at first, at the point I’m at in the story, I can’t help but feel that he has secrets of his own. There’s the seemingly main antagonist of this manhwa, 3rd year student Seongmin who is the leader of the delinquent group Iljin that runs in the school. Some of these characters are really interesting to watch and some are quite forgettable.
The manhwa obviously has extremely good fights because it’s connected to Hanlim Gym and that makes for some good fights with proper tactics. The amazing plot twists of the story are another plus because with every few chapters new people are introduced and characters who we feel we know have secrets revealed. I personally also liked the good tactics Majino used in order to follow the rules set for him which led to some funny and smart situations. The bad thing about this manhwa is that it ignores some things for the convenience of the plot and doesn’t explain a few things that well, while these are translation errors or just bad writing I don’t know.
The manhwa shows us that no one’s life is easy. We see Majino whose life as an orphan is tough and normally one would assume that Jintae’s life is easy but his life isn’t easy either, rather his life is also a different kind of mental hell and when compared one could say that Majino’s life was easier. The point is that no one’s life os easy, we all need to go through struggles and we have our own challenges and who knows, the one that you think is living an easy life may just be having a worse life than you.
The manhwa is finished at 50 chapters and the finale was amazing, it had everything from drama to action and most of all our beloved Yeongha Jeon showed up. If you’ve liked any of the Blue String universe manhwa you’ll like this and if you are a fan of school life bully beatdown types of stories with a very intriguing and constantly moving plot, you’ll love this.

I’ve finally decided to start the Big 3 mangas and Bleach was a fine start to that journey. I have so much to talk about and yet I can only reveal very little. MILD SPOILERS AHEAD. Let’s go.
This story starts off with Kurosagi Ichigo, a not so simple high schooler. He can see spirits ever since he was a child and sometimes tries to help them out. However Ichigo is unaware of another world that exists alongside his current one, which is called Soul Society, a place where souls are taken after their deaths, to ensure the safe travel of souls and to make sure that corrupted souls, known as Hollows are purified, the Shinigami are assigned specific places in the human world to monitor and helo souls. Ome day, Ichigo is attacked by a hollow and to save his father and 2 sisters he makes a deal with the Shinigami of his region, Kuchiki Rukia. He will recieve half of her power and defeat the hollow. However Ichigo absorbs all of Rukia’s powers and after defeating the Hollow agrees to serve as Rukia’s substitute and so begins an exciting journey that will affect the entire world and will help Ichigo discover his true self.
There are quite a lot of characters in the manga and they’re all quite well written and given a good backstory. We have our orange haired MC Kurosagi Ichigo a kind and comedic character with a somewhat realistic approach to things. He goes through significant developments throughout the entire manga and is a factor that brings change in the world of Bleach. We have the Shinigami who lost her powers to Ichigo, Kuchiki Rukia though she may seems to be all about work, she is an integral part of the story. We have Ichigo’s friends Orihime Inoue, an airhead but eager to help girl and Chad who is Ichigo’s best friend. We have Ishida Uryuu a smart and cunning character who serves as Ichigo’s rival.
I had high expectations from a manga that was part of the Big 3 and Bleach did not disappoint. Right from the start the manga has some pretty good humour. There’s good fighting and battle tactics shown which is enjoyable to watch. There’s good world building and charcter designs and yet my favourite part of the manga is that despite having so many characters it doesn’t forget the side characters, all of them get their own battles, struggles and development that we get to see. There’s also amazing plot twists that will make you keep reading however the big flaw here is that the start is boring, you honestly might feel like dropping it because of the repetitiveness but once past that, the real story us absolutely a delight to read.
A certain, very good character said in the story, “People accept facts that are convenient to them as the truth.” And that goes to show how badic human nature is to subconsciously only accept what is good to them and try to reject other truths. This is what leads to a difference in beliefs and ultimately a conflict in which both sides are right. Though the manga only talks about that very briefly, it does manage to give a good lesson through that if you think about it. One man can change everything around him.
Bleach is finished at 686 chapters and it’s finale is really something amazing, an epic conclusion with very high stakes. The reason I read the manga is because I wanted to avoid the filler of the anime and I do think that it was the right choice but I will be getting into the anime soon as well. This was my longest manga and an amazing read. To experience one of the best shonen stories written, do pick up Bleach. It has comedy, action, well written characters and most of all, it can be called a classic.

I think I’m developing some sort of an obsession with manhwa’s about fighting but you can’t blame me, these are so damn amazing especially since this is from the same author as Lookism and still so different. SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST FEW EPISODES.
The story is about Hobin Yu, a nobody in school who is constantly bullied by his classmate Pakago who has a NewTube Channel (Youtube Channel) with 900,000 subscribers. After being bullied one day at his own house, Hobin decides to fight back against a bully named Snapper and that video accidently gets uploaded onto Newtube, now famous Hobin decides to start a channel with Snapper where he calls out bullies. While thinking about how he is going to survive in a fight against Pakago, Hobin comes up on a channel of a person wearing a chicken mask called Samdak who claims that he can help any amateur fighter win any fight. While his eccentric and seemingly silly techniques don’t appeal to Hobin at first, he soon takes them up and sees that they actually work. Now having a channel with lots of subscribers and a channel that can teach him how to win any fight, Hobin names his channel Viral hit or V-Hit and decides to start calling out bullies while messing with some very dangerous people.
The characters are vast, with Hobin eventually teaming up with a lot of people, (kinda like Daniel except this time instead of finding a new body he finds a channel). There’s the former bully Snapper who’s reformed and changed his ways and wants to work with Hobin. Of course our main character Hobin who (unlike Daniel) actually trains and changes himself instead of just swearing that he will. He is motivated by money and his training sessions are amazing though sometimes embarrassing and yet his growth after every fight is what is interesting and makes the show fun. The characters all have very short arcs and all have short backstories till now except some (unlike Lookism). There are more characters I want to talk about here but that will be spoilers so I’m not going to do it but just know that the characters are all interesting to watch and do get the spotlight.
The manhwa flourishes in the way it story tells. Unlike Lookism here the author maintains a coherent storyline and shows only short parts of episodes as backstories instead of full arcs. This makes you take deep interest in the original plot and keeps you hooked and wanting more and more of Hobin fighting through his troubles. The manhwa also has some amazing art which is nice to look at and also doesn’t back down from touching dark themes which seem to be the main skill of the author, telling a complex tale about complex people with amazing fights and still mange to touch on dark themes which some writers prefer not to go to. The author also doesn’t hesitate on showing the reality of how easily people switch opinions on things and that happens to Hobin multiple times on his livestream.
The lesson to get from this manhwa is to not be the ‘sheeple’. That’s right it isn’t ‘never back down from doing the right thing’ and not because that isn’t a lesson, it is but I think why the author chose this storyline is to show us how streamers and content creators on social media platforms are also putting up a front and showing only a part of their lives. They’ll condemn bad deeds but when it comes to them being condemned they’ll shed a fake tear, make an apology video and get away with it. The ‘sheeple’ are often referred to the manhwa and it is shown how easy it is to manipulate things for the viewers to show them only one side of the story. That is what we as content consumers must break out of, you feel angry at something, surely act on it and show that you won’t stand for it but never do something without full investigation because what you see on one screen may not express the full story. Don’t be the sheeple.
The manhwa is currently ongoing at 70 episodes and it doesn’t show any sign of slowing down so I’m desperately waiting for more episodes as well as the finale. With lots of fighting, showing the real consequences of that fighting and showing you how to call out bullies while managing a YouTube channel, Viral hit is an amazing manhwa that you should catch up on right now before it gets too far ahead.

He’s not doing it for the fame he’s after the cash, At first it might look like he’s the one who’s gonna crash, But with techniques by Samdak in a flash, He’s taking down his opponents with a crash.
Even when he’s losing never backing down one bit, No matter who comes he’s never gonna quit, No matter the martial art can’t make him submit, The story of Hobin or the one called V-hit.

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19 and having a great day. This anime is going to become my new comfort anime. Absolutely amazing. SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1 AHEAD.
The story is about a redhead skater named Reki who is a part of the top secret ‘S’ community where skaters take part in races known as ‘beefs’ by which they settle their differences and bet things on the races. Reki one day meets blue haired transfer student Langa, who is the first to show interest in Reki’s talk of skating. Reki takes Langa under his wing and teaches him all about skating. Langa learns quickly and soon earns the name SNOW for himself in the ‘S’ community. Showing great guts and incredible skill he is approached by the skater ADAM who founded the ‘S’ community and is a legend among the members of the community. ADAM takes an interest in Langa who is pulled deeper into the world of skating as he himself and others around him learn their love for skating.
The characters are amazing, they are extremely relatable to every type of person. There is Reki who is the original person who teaches Langa and has a deep love for skating and who learns what its like to feel inferior. There’s Langa who is dealing with some stuff from his past and is learning his love for skating from Reki. There’s ADAM the legend who has an incredibly tragic backstory and has skating as a respite from his usual life. There’s JOE and CHERRY, two more legendary skaters in the ‘S’ community with contrasting personalities and having a long history with ADAM . There’s MIYA, a soon to be pro skater whose character arc is all about learning how to deal with abandonment and SHADOW who doesn’t have much of character development. The other main characters however all have great backstories no matter how short, show some sort of struggle that we all are going through and learn how to deal with it and grow throughout the course of the twelve episodes.
The anime shines in its beautiful animation and the races. It isn’t always about speed with the races, it’s about pulling off insane tricks and using creativity to clear the same course again and again in different ways by using each skater’s own unique skills. The races are thrilling and exciting and will keep you at the edge of your seat. There’s a good amount of comedy and emotional moments mixed in and the show can make you really attached to the characters and their stories and journeys. There’s also great symbolism with Adam and Eve that is absolutely amazing to see and very cleverly worked in.
The anime is really about everyone finding their own happiness as Reki talks about in the beginning of the show, he says that its scary to ask oneself about what is one’s happiness because one is scared of not finding an answer. The character’s all want happiness as do we all in the world and like everyone we are all looking for the thing that we can love and have have fun doing and that can be our happiness. Reki shows that even if we’re not the best in the field that we have fun in we can always have fun doing it, the goal is never to be the best, it is always to just have fun doing what you love. The show touches on many other themes like inferiority complex, feeling trapped in one’s world, feeling alone at the top, love for skating and a lot lot more which I don’t want to spoil because these are the character arcs that are going to make you fall in love with the characters and really really understand and relate to them.
The finale is amazingly well done with the final race resolving all conflicts that had previously taken place and it makes all the characters deal with their problems with an insane race that is amazing to watch and at the end we are left with the message from Langa, the same message that Reki gave at the beginning of the show and that is that everyone wants their own happiness and for Reki and Langa that is skating. With its 12 episode run, SK8 manages to touch on a lot of deep themes and tell a very good story about happiness while also managing to remain quirky and fresh.

The story follows the Republic of San Magnolia which has been at war with the Empire of Giad for nine years. Though it initially suffered devastating losses to the Empire’s autonomous mechanized Legions, The Republic has since developed its own autonomous units, called Juggernauts, which are directed remotely by a Handler. While on the surface the public believes the war is being fought between machines, in reality, the Juggernauts are being piloted by humans, all of whom are “86”—the designation given to the Colorata minority of San Magnolia. The 86 originally had equal rights, but were persecuted and scapegoated by the dominant Alba race and the Alba-supremacist Republic government to the point where Colorata were both officially designated and popularly considered subhuman. The 86 were not permitted to have personal names and were immured in internment camps in the 86th District hence their name, all the while being forced to fight in the Republic’s war with the Empire to one day hpefully go back inside the Republic. Enter Major Vladilena “Lena” Milizé, an Alba noble and military officer in the San Magnolian military, she feels for the 86 and wants them to have equal rights and for the Republic to quit thier mistreatment, and the deception that they are feeding to the public. Lena is assigned as the Handler of the Spearhead Squadron of the Eastern Front: an elite unit composed entirely of 86 veterans who have earned names. Led by their squad leader, Shinei Nouzen, aka The Undertaker, (also called the Reaper), the Spearhead Squadron is infamous among military officials because the state in which its commanding officers are left. Handlers presiding over the squad have descended into insanity and some have gone as far as committing suicide. Lena, who sympathizes with the 86 gets to know the members of the squadron and with the help of Shinei (Shin) learns the dark secret behind the war between the Empire and the Republic.
The characters are vast but the story focuses only a few main characters as they go through their journey in the Spearhead Squadron. The main character Major Vladilena “Lena” Milizé is an amazingly written character, she is an idealist who believes that it is wrong to treat the 86 as non-human and wants them to be treated as human, in an attempt to do this she talks with her squad everyday and tries to get to know them. She criticizes the Republic for their practices and at the same time realizes that she too subconsciously believed that the 86 are non-human which she shows through her actions and realizes that her ideals were wrong and that she can’t be equal with the 86. There’s Shin, the squad leader who is carrying a lot of weight, he is called the Reaper because he is always the last one standing in his squad and carries his comrade’s hearts to their final destination. There are more amazing characters whom I don’t want to talk about here, the 86 who show that they are just like normal humans and the Republicans who want to deny responsibility but just know that every character goes through at least a little character development in the story.
The anime shines in the way it depicts the clear discrimination between the Alba and the 86, it isn’t just the 86 being mistreated by the Alba by having slander thrown at them or being beaten up, its properly shown as the 86 die in battle and the Alba don’t because they are safe in their walls. Lena who is an idealist learns that she doesn’t truly know the 86 and though she speaks that their treatment is wrong, she isn’t doing much about it and that shows that how even if every death of the squad affects Lena, she still isn’t experiencing the same pain. The music is amazing as well, it sets the tone perfectly for the scenes and the combat scenes too are well done though a bit too few if I do say so myself. The shows manages to do a good job of keeping an element of mystery around the events by switching perspectives between the Spearhead Squadron and Lena so pay attention to the dates.
The themes are very obviously suppression and deception by the powerful. There’s also the theme of growth and purpose. The suppression of the 86 shows just how much humans are willing to do for their own gains, they are willing to take away others rights and still expect to keep theirs just because they’re the ones in power. Deception speaks of how the Republic is kept unaware that the ‘autonomous’ Juggernaut mechas are actually controlled by the 86 just how the government keeps the pubic unaware believing that they are doing the right thing. Growth is shown my Lena as she mends her ideals and learns that instead of just speaking out uselessly against the military for their mistreatment of the 86, she needs to take action to help them. Purpose is shown by Shin as he searches for a purpose in the later episodes of the story. Despite being a show about discrimination and racism 86 actually teaches a lot.
The finale of the second season is something else, seriously, with the many twists and turns that come in the story, the ending really hits you in the feels, its amazing. While the story can be complete in and of itself right now, it isn’t complete because there is a lot more to do and see, and with the twists that are shown in the anime I am going to get to reading the light novels because with all the good action, incredibly thrilling and full of twists story, 86 just leaves you wanting more.

It’s a peaceful looking country going to war, They don’t plan to conquer but it’s more, To defend themselves from enemies and for, This they use humans who aren’t human anymore.
Referred to as pigs these soldiers fight in mechs, They’re human and not at the same time it’s complex, They’re outcasts and at the same time of the Empire subjects, Just how much they are cares for their action reflects.
Taking a stand against them is a young Major, Assigned to a new squad she’s taking on danger, It’s peaceful at first and these moments she needs to savor, Because one mistake is gonna make her mery her maker.
The commander of her unit knows a few tricks, She learns the real reason of the conflicts, Of bitter and sweet this relationship is a mix, This ain’t the story of the Empire it’s the story of the Eighty Six.

The story of Horimiya is pretty simple. Hori, a popular and cheerful girl in her school who actually is brash, impolite and her brother’s caretaker at home meets with Miyamura, who is reserved and emo in school but outside of it is cool and a completely different person. Meeting by sheer coincidence and showing each other their true selves, Hori and Miyamura learn to get comfortable with being their true selves which they hide at school. As Miyamura and Hori develop their relationship they form friendships and bonds around them throughout their high school adventure by relating to their peers and forming a better sense of identity of themselves and also knowing each other well.
The characters are not many in Horimiya but they are amazingly well done. There’s out hero Miyamura who is gloomy and emo at first with his shabby long hair and nerdy glasses but when he shows his piercings and tattoos, he’s like a totally different person. His character development is all about discovering friendship and learning to cherish it. Hori on the other hand who is cherry at school but a homebody outside also learns to accept herself and develop feelings for Miyamura who is the one who knows her true self. There’s the energetic Yuki Yoshikawa who learns about asking for the things that she wants and their friend, purple haired Toru who learns about growth and the developement of relationships. There’s the student council president Sengoku, his girlfriend Remi, their friend Kono and Yanagi. These character’s lives interconnect as they learn and grow in high school.
The anime has nice animation. Or rather amazing would be a better word to describe it. The charatcers look absolutely beautiful, the colors give off the correct vibe at the correct times and the fact that I don’t usually talk about animation should also be a plus. The thing about this show is that there’s little to no angst, only development and growth. We get to see relationship moments of Hori and Miyamura like their first confessions, their first kiss, their fights, comebine all this with how immensely comedic this show is and you get a masterpiece. The one downside is at how much of a breakneck speed this anime goes at, since it’s only 13 episodes and there’s much to cover you’ll always see things moving along with no dull moment.
The concept of wearing two faces is the very first thing that is shown in Horimiya and is also the central theme of the show, while Hori and Miyamura promise not to tell the school peers of their other sides, the show is all about them learning to grow comfortable in their skin and being themselves at school. There’s also the concept of being afraid of chance since the character’s feelings are conflicted over graduating. That is very applicable to real life, we all have a part of ourselves that we don’t want to show to others only to realize later on that the people who are around us when we are ourselves are our true friends and thay we don’t need to be afraid of change, it’s difficult when it approaches but it’s good when it happens.
The finale is very well done as we are shown every charatcer’s feelings over graduating and how they want to go ahead with their lives. We also see Miyamura deal with his own past and learning to accept himself. All in all, despite moving too fast for comfort Horimiya is still an amazing anime with good characters, beautiful animation and full of cure moments of our charatcer’s relationships. All of these and the good comedy of the show will make you want more than the 13 episode run.
