DEVILMAN CRYBABY: EMOTIONAL AND HEARTBREAKING

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I was sleeping on this one for a long time and I finally decided to watch it only to be met by so many emotions. This one is definitely something everyone should watch. MINOR SPOILERS for the show ahead.

The show follows Akira Fudo a simple kind hearted boy who cries whenever he sees someone else crying as he feels sad for them. He is friends with Makimura Miki as her family adopted him after his family went abroad. Soon after he is asked by his childhood friend, cold hearted Ryo Asuka to join him at a party called Sabbath where allegedly humans are turned into demons. At the party which is a rave consisting of drugs, dubstep music and orgies. Soon enough Akira is possessed by the Demon Amon, though Akira’s strong human will eventually overpowers him allowing Akira to keep Amon’s body and strength while still retaining his human heart. This sets into motion a chain of events which lead to Akira learning more about his demon origins while battling with his demoniac tendencies as he helps Ryo’s plan to expose the demons.

The show mainly focuses on Akira’s battle with his demonical tendencies and him dealing with the emotional effect of them all as he kills demons and retains his identity as neither a human nor a devil but a Devilman. Each episode focuses on something different with one showing his killing nature, another of dealing with his trauma and so on. The show talks about the vices of humans and when Akira feels like he’s going out of control Ryo tells him, “Gambling, Alcohol, Women. Everyone has their vices. Indulge yourself in whatever you please, just turn yourself back to normal before the time comes for us to….” I won’t reveal the rest of the part but the main think is established, the vices of men are things that demons use to suppress themselves hence in reality these things aren’t humane at all. Humans use the traits of devils and indulge in such activities just for simple pleasure, that’s what Ryo meant. Akira is shown not to want to indulge in these vices but instead turn to violence against demons to satisfy his urges. At one point also goes through existential crisis at a time wondering who he is till he remembers that he is a Devilman. He also has to do some really heavy tasks that take a toll on his entire emotional well being.

The shows discusses some pretty dark themes through the other characters such as an athlete having an inferiority complex another blaming himself for the death of his friend but not being able to show his sadness. Then there are the themes of exploitation shared through the means of the paparazzo Nagasaki who’s job quite literally is said to be, ‘to photograph the naked bodies of young athletes.’ which in doing he also does some horrendous tasks. The other characters all serve as motivation to Akira and none of the characters introduced are just there for the sake of it like the rapper Wamu and his gang, who’s raps are really good to be honest, they show up in the first episode of the show and then come at the start of every episode and give us some sick raps and become a very integral part of the story later on. There’s also Miki who plays a big part in Akira’s life and helps progressing the story forward as she is the first one to accept Akira as a Devilman.

The ending of the show is sad and maybe satisfying to some viewers as it was to me honestly but I doubt everyone would share the same views. The show really puts forward the question of, “Does it really have to be us Vs them all the time ?” This is shown as people treat others as ‘outsiders’ in the show and don’t accept that there can be someone in between a human and a demon. Then it also puts forward the question of “what truly is a demon?” For me a true demon is someone with no humanity whatsoever in them left, creatures of pure evil led only by their desires. Let me know what you think about it after you watch the show. There is a lot is gore, violence and nudity so beware but there is some lovely music you should absolutely hear.

Rap:

Left all alone crying for others in a cruel world,
One party and into a whole new world I’m hurled,
Sitting at the sidelines someone had observed,
And now the strongest demon Amon has emerged.

Heart of a human still but my body has changed,
From my old self and world I now feel estranged,
But through all these desires I have maintained,
A clear mind that is in killing demons engaged.

I cry for others but I’m strong when it comes to me,
I only have one friend who knows the truth but he,
Is planning something bigger I can guarantee,
I don’t want to be a part I just want to be free.

Killing these demons like Tanjiro’s nichirin blade,
When they see me humans hide they’re afraid,
But against these demons I’m going to lead a crusade,
Because it is not a demon but a Devilman they have made.

COBRA KAI SEASON 3: GREATER AND MORE AMBITIOUS

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I was waiting for this for the longest time so I was the most excited when this came out. This post contains MAJOR SPOILERS for season 1 and 2 and MINOR SPOILERS for season 3 so please beware.

The story needless to say is amazing, amazing, amazing. It picks up right where we left off with Miguel in a coma now because of his fall, Robby on the run from the law, Tory expelled and Sam dealing with the trauma from her fight with Tory. Johnny on one hand has gone down a rabbit hole and has been ruining his life while Daniel is trying to track down and help Robby while also trying to make sure that Karate itself isn’t painted as an enemy in the eyes of the public. John Kreese is the one doing the best from them all as he now has a dojo and students that are looking to get stronger from their embarrassment at the school fight. There is a lot lot to do and believe me it becomes a wild ride with one thing after another.

So one thing that you guys already know from the trailer is that Miguel wakes up and he wakes up in the most badass way possible which is by Johnny Lawrence’s motivation. The scene is basically a fight at the All Valley Tournament in his head and Miguel keeps seeing himself lose against an opponent that is until Johnny gets into his room after doing some crazy stuff and motivates him to keep fighting because he is a champ. That scene will bring tears to your eyes mainly because it switched from some extremely funny stuff to something very hard hitting. I cried literally so don’t judge yourself if you do. One thing leads to another and then you see Johnny helping Miguel recover from his injuries and nurse him back to full strength so that he can do karate again and needless to say there are some real father and son or Sensei and Student bonding scenes in there.

Now Robby as you know is in Juvie, don’t attack me guys it was shown in the trailer and I warned you for spoilers. Now Robby has it tough as he learns that life on the inside is tough and he feels disconnected from everyone who is on the outside because he believes that everyone is helping Miguel and not him. He goes through some really bad stuff but he had badass moments of his own and the fights that he is in are really good so you should be ready. Also, he’ll be teaming up with someone very unlikely for season 4.

The rest of Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do isn’t doing too well either as Sam struggles with the fear from the fight and Tory from dealing with life. Hawk’s mental condition starts detoriating as he struggles to prove himself as a champ again and Demetri who’s popularity is on the rise after the fight also deals with struggles of his own. New characters join in and stuff gets even crazier than before because people start losing their way and find it too. Sam with the rest of Miyagi Do stops following the ‘Karate is for defense only’ rule as Cobra Kai starts getting more violent and violent. There’s school politics involved with the usual scuffles that take place.

The fights are beautifully choreographed and I don’t say anything about dialogue delivery very often but the way they are given in this show I knew I had to mention them. Every word expressed emotions that the characters were going through at the time. And speaking of emotional there are some very emotional Miyagi moments that people will recognize from the old movies. Those were seriously the best. The characters new motivations are well gives into even Kreese’s whose past we see and the struggles of the characters are so real even Daniel and Johnny have their own problems besides their dojos.

In the end the show gives out the message that Karate isn’t the enemy. Miguel proves that too because Karate saved him and destroyed him yet he didn’t hate Karate and instead wanted to get back into it. The lessons are pretty clear, “You won’t always know who the good guys are.”, “There isn’t always one side to the story.” And “Anyone can build strength but it’s the mentality to use it that’s hard to build.” The ending of the show is beautiful and badass with an even better fight than the school one with new techniques and alliances and might I say season 4 is about to be lit. Why ? That’s what you’ll find out when you watch the show.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.

KABANERI OF THE IRON FORTRESS: AN ATTACK ON TITAN RIPOFF

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This anime works on a formula similar to Attack on Titan and it still is really good to watch.

The story follows Ikoma a steam smith who is working on developing a weapon that can kill Kabane, beings that are like zombies except that their hearts are covered with a metal film that is impenetrable. A train arrives at his station which contains a peculiar girl called Mumei who shows extreme skill in fighting Kabane. The station gets overrun by Kabane and Ikoma gets bitten which he stops from reaching his brain turning him into a Kabaneri, someone with the body of a Kabane but the heart of a human. Teaming up with his friend Takumi and completing his weapon to take down Kabane, Ikome takes the fight to the Kabane. At the same time Mumei reveals that she is a Kabaneri herself and fights alongside Ikoma. Making it out of the station with Ayame, the heir of the Yomogawa clan, her protector Kurusu and a load of other characters. The story follows Ikoma on the train the Kotesu Jou making his way to the Shogun’s palace and on the way discovering his powers as a Kabaneri and coming to terms with his past trauma. A completely new plotline opens up when they meet hunter Biba who leads a group that kills the Kabane and frees up the land of the people who is also the man whom Mumei was trying to get to.

The series has some brutal combat and throws us straight into the action with the humans vs Kabane fights. The way Mumei and Ikoma fight is ruthless and will satisfy you if you are someone who loves to see blood. The series mostly focuses on human traumas that Ikoma, Mumei and the others have faced throughout their lives. Ikoma has lost someone to the Kabane previously and due to that he fights harder than ever as a Kabaneri to protect the people on the Kotesu Jou like Eren, (the parallels are so striking), Mumei on the other hand has learnt that only the strong survive and the weak die, this ideology is challenged by Ikoma as he tries to convince her with his words and actions that the weak can become strong and that they just need to keep fighting (like Eren). Mumei reveals that she is just a fighter and that all she wants to do is fight and kill Kabane and she kills like a badass (like Mikasa). There are others too who lose a lot throughout the show and Ikoma even after going through his turning to a Kabaneri learns what loss truly means and how even after being shunned as a monster by humanity he needs to fight to tell them that he is on the side of the humans (Like Eren’s trial). Ikoma also gradually learns fighting from Mumei and betters his skills which allows him to kill with ease and at one point makes a rash decision to gain more power. Biba, the man who taught Mumei that weak people die and strong survive shows that all he ever was was physically strong and his heart and mind were very weak because of the way he does things and accepts the consequences of his actions with the words, ‘so you have found the true coward.’ While actually doing his first good deed in life, showing that he too became strong like Ikoma said.

The desperation of humans shown is also greatly projected with humans always being scared of Kabane and killing suspected Kabane without a second thought and when true Kabane attack they cannot stand their ground and fight. The basic population also gets easily scared of the Kabaneri Ikoma and Mumei and have to be proved wrong with a lot of life saving, patience and rude awakenings. There is a scene where when Mumei asks for blood she is seen as the same as a Kabane by the people and they try to kill her though unsuccessfully. There is also Mumei’s maturity which shows when she says that she won’t force anyone to give their blood but will only ask. Then there is Ayame who takes charge and leads the people while also making them understand that Kabaneri can be treated as humans.

Over all the show contains loads of action, blood, animation, emotional scenes and also has a great soundtrack, a lot of world politics and a great cast of characters. This isn’t exactly Attack on Titan but there are a lot of parallels between the two shows. This show is also vastly different and actually sports a hopeful ending and has moments of happiness. There comes a point in the story where a conflict arises and you will question who is truly wrong but as the pot unfolds that line becomes clearer. There is a lot of symbolism and irony and the series is overall a very nice watch with only 12 episodes and a 3 part movie. Give it a watch and tell me what you feel about the show.

RAP:

Humanity lives in fear all safe and secure,
Kabane virus outside and we don’t have a cure,
I say that I’ll fight them and they call me immature,
Now I got bitten but the virus I endure.

Turned into something that we don’t understand,
Want me to kill myself that’s their demand,
I haven’t trained I rush into battle unplanned,
Think I’m like the ones outside they misunderstand.

Watch me as I fight to clear the people’s doubt,
Got another girl with me and she helps me throughout,
Don’t rush into battle all alone to her I shout,
But she doesn’t listen and alone she takes Kabane out.

They fear me sometimes so I’ll show all those who,
Doubt me that I will fight for humans so you,
Better prepare for my wrath let me show you,
My battle against Kabane shouting Rokkun Shojo.

ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM: GUNS, KNIVES AND LIFE

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I remembered that I hadn’t talked about Assassination Classroom but it is a series that gives me a lot of things to talk about so let’s get into it. I’m trying to keep it spoiler free but you guys really should have watched it by now.

An octopus like entity blows up the moon and comes down to earth infront of the Japanese government demanding that he be made the class teacher of class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High School or he will blow up the earth too. The government heeds to his demands and appoints him class teacher and hands the kids guns and knives to kill the creature which the students name Korosensei – which means unkillable teacher. The creature proves too strong for the students to kill and so a government Special Forces agent Karasuma starts training the class. Class 3-E is seen to be the lowest of the low at their school with their classroom being situated atop a hill away from the main building of the prestigious school. The students try to deal with their school stress and their assassination at the same time during the course of the year.

The entire classroom is the main cast as they all get an episode to themselves planning and carrying out their own assassinations but the 2 leads are Karma Akabane and Nagisa Shiota. They are shown to have a history that we come to know of later in the show but their friendship does seem to have a few cracks. The names of the other characters are used so less that I forgot most of them but they are all likable each having their own special skills that Korosensei works on honing and bettering. There are little moments in the show where we see that Korosensesi isn’t a monster that has come to make the lives of the students hell rather a passionate teacher who wants to help them.

The students of the main building and the school principal also play significant roles in the show with the principal’s ruling patters showing the way the world works. The principal also gets his own little episode where his past is discussed and the tragedy that made him the hardened man he is, is brought to light. The Principal’s son named Asano is shown to be the leader of Class 3-A and the core rival of Karma Akabane who is the leader of Class 3-E. Class E basically battles against class A on many occasions, with the 2 contrasting teaching methods of Korosensei and the Principal showing their differences. The rivalry between Karma and Asano is for the better because all the other characters had their own issues to deal with and we all knew that Nagisa was going to kill Koro. Karma is shown to be a fearless character and he gets his rival in the form of Asano whom he beats at the end of the show, showing the superiority of Koro’s teaching method and Karma never losing his cool attitude. This also shows a fact of life that while some may work hard and some may work smart Karma does both and wins. Karma in his introduction also shows the 2 ways in which he can kill Koro that ends with Koro failing both but shows just how deep the show writer thought.

Nagisa is the best assassin among the students showing his talent early when he takes down a Special Forces agent twice and beats him both times not having a scratch on him. There is also an episode that contains the fight between master fighter and planner Karma and master assassin Nagisa in which Nagisa though having a clear shot at Karma decides to fight him head to head instead. This shows their bond being that of rivals as assassins and friends as their normal selves. Their bond is mended showing Karma’s own insecurity that he dealt with and that helped him beat Asano in the final exams.

There are numerous times when the show questions the real meaning of ‘killing someone’. It also delivers that answer in the finale. I am not spoiling a major plot point here but just know that Koro wasn’t a good teacher at first and his real identity is something far greater. The fight between Nagisa and Karma show the different bonds that the 2 and the entire class shares with Korosensei. Karma represents the bond of Assassin and Target with him believing that he will honour Koro by taking his life. Nagisa shows the bind between Teacher and Student with him believing that he will pay his debts back to Koro by saving him. The true meaning of killing as I caught it from the show seems to be that the body of a person can be killed but his soul never can and that a person isn’t just alive in his own body but also in the hearts of others. The show ends showing the students carrying their memories with Koro in their hearts and Koro getting his peace having shaped the students into better people and dealt with their issues. The true meaning of killing is that you can never truly kill a person you can just kill the body.

Rap Section:

Stupid yellow creature blows a hole in the moon,
Comes out saying he’ll do the same to earth soon,
But he gives us a hope a way out of this doom,
We have to turn this into an assassination classroom.

This creature says that he’s come to teach,
Guns and knives we got them all within reach,
When we attack Koro sensei just goes screech,
It hard so from the class we need the help of each.

It turns out Koro sensei isn’t that bad,
But when Karma steals his food he goes mad,
Gotta focus on killing Koro before we grad,
But its hard we’re starting to like him a tad.

We didn’t just learn to kill we learnt what life is about,
Didn’t let us be defined by the E in his mind he had no doubt,
I know it’s tough but in the end we have to take him out,
He may have left us but for life he showed us all a route.

The Irregular at Magic High School: Magic, Music and Science

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. WARNING: This is an anime with so much potential but the one bad thing about it is the incest so if you’re not into that thing turn back. The incest isn’t actual doing it but more of love confessions and flirty moments so if you can digest that then let’s move forward. Now that the warning is out of the way I have one more request if nothing then at least listen to the music of this anime I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The show starts off fairly well with showing us Shiba Tatsuya the amazingly strong and skilled yet quiet and wise hero of the show and his little sister Shiba Miyuki who is skilled in magic and has feelings towards her brother that he doesn’t reciprocate. They argue about Tatsuya not getting into the Course 1 of the school (Which is the section where magicians are honed) and instead being put into Course 2 (which is where the ones less skilled in magic are placed). Their argument ends and we immediately see the discrimination done against the Course 2 students at the school staring off with the Course 1 students being called Blooms and the Course 2 students being called Weeds. Despite this discrimination Tatsuya shrugs it off which so unlike any other character. I expected Tatsuya to be some sort of revolutionary in the school and change the system but the story this anime shows going further is so much better.

The discrimination part is basically the first few episodes of the show in which the hard core discrimination cause Miyuki to be put in a spot of whether to sit with her brother or her friends. Tatsuya acts maturely even here and simply moves out of the way. I love underdog stories and up until this point I was sure that Tatsuya was going to be a mature guy and teach Miyuki the realities of life or something like that as they go through high school. Wrong again. We are introduced to a whole amazing and lovable cast of characters and we get to see Tatsuya in action for the first time and let me tell you it’s satisfying. This and countless other actions of Tatsuya actually changes the outlook of the students on the whole Bloom-Weed thing and Tatsuya wins friends from both sides and even makes them work together. After this is resolved there are 2 more arcs where Tatsuya really gets to shine. The discrimination more or less comes to an end by the 2nd arc.

There are 2 issues of mine with this anime, 1 that there is just incest that I hate yet I swallowed and moved past it. The second thing is that there is just too much theory explained. The show uses a mix between magic and technology and it is explained a bit too thoroughly for my liking. I don’t complain that they put in the effort but I complain that they put in the effort yet I didn’t understand a word of what they explained. All I saw was a bunch of cool teach and badass magic and I loved it but the science I just sat through trying to understand but just couldn’t. If you don’t like science then I would advise you try to sit through the science and if you skip it there’s no problem at all. I personally think that there’s nothing wrong with skipping the science as it doesn’t contribute to the plot much.

The story in the anime is linear and moves in a straight line, it’s always one thing after the other. There is also a sense of mystery as to Tatsuya’s true identity. Which is another awesome moments in and of its own. The mystery element helped me get over the subtle and not so subtle incest. The fights in the anime are brief and not as long lasting as you would expect so that’s a bummer but the music is so incredible that it’s all worth it. The point where the story fails is that there is absolutely no character development of Tatsuya. We see an extremely skilled kid who’s doing things that no normal kid would do. By the end of the show all we see is Tatsuya’s true identity, his drive at the beginning of the show is to protect Miyuki and remains the same till the end of the show. I feel that we see a version of Tatsuya that should be endgame. He’s calm, cool, collected and you could say a smarter version of Light Yagami. He cracks cases and solves problems like a genius. Yet there’s also a strange likability to him, his nature and his actions are just pure you could say. Even when he has girls around him he doesn’t reciprocate any of their feelings.

The ending of the show is satisfying and opens up a whole world of possibilities for the second season. The sense of mystery that is resolved at the end just goes ahead to show us that there’s so much more to come from the show. The season 2 allows us a look into the workings of the families that control everything and other nations also get involved as Tatsuya becomes an even bigger target. The other characters also get a lot of spotlight and that’s good enough for me.

The 2nd season is also coming along really well as we get to see the scale of battles increase and Tatsuya also becomes more human and has more emotion scenes. We also see how the Clans work things and we see Tatsuya actually be unsuccessful for once. I recommend the anime to fans who can digest a little incest apart from that enjoy the anime.

Rap section:

First magic high that’s the school that I’m at,
Didn’t get into course one and my sister’s mad,
Everyone looking down on me here it’s kind of sad,
Watch their views change as I launch my attack.

I’m calm and cool, I’m not looking to fight,
But if trouble comes I’m not gonna hide,
When I’m done with enemies it’s not a pretty sight,
You scared and this isn’t even the limit of my might.

I’m reading your magic sequence before you release,
I already got a spell ready to make it cease,
Every time I get in a fight my skills increase,
But I don’t want it I just want some peace.

Most precious thing to me is my sister,
She’s making moves on me but I resist her,
I’m also an inventor in the skies there’s a whisper,
They try to hold me down but I just go faster.

BIRTHDAY SPECIAL POST

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. It’s my birthday and that means the birthday of this blog too which is why this post is here, being out of the routine. This is going to be an honest talk between me and you guys so bear with me.

A year ago the night of 11th December I sat in my room and listened to a Gary Vee podcast. There was a lone there, ‘People are simply saying they have ideas but no one executes.’ And that clicked. I booted up my laptop and designed this blog. I had no idea how I was going to run this thing or what I was going to write about but I did it anyway since I kept saying how no one ever recognized my writing. The first couple weeks were scary and I wanted to shut it down, I had nothing to write about. I looked up tons of guides and I found nothing useful, I hadn’t gone through enough in my life to talk about experiences and I didn’t hold any expertise in fashion or interior decoration. I began focusing on what I liked which was writing, gaming and anime.

I was shit scared to write about gaming but I did it then I realized that I liked playing much more and games needed a lot of time to play before review. (The gaming is now going on on my Youtube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMzPlZYvejSLmc9L64Q5YXw). I began focusing myself on anime, I started watching and reviewing anime and TV shows I watched. I liked it, I still like it. There’s just something about diving into the personalities of the characters, their stories, the symbolisms and most importantly the teachings of the shows that makes me tick, gets me excited and makes me want to write more. The next few weeks it got easier and halfway through the year I was comfortable, now that I’m comfortable I’m going to add some factors in to innovate like always.

This year I started a twitter account which I grew to nearly 400 followers without any ads, a pretty big achievement for me. I also wrote a book on Wattpad, (link is https://www.wattpad.com/story/239883915-the-red-lotus ). I would have never had the confidence to write it was it not for this blog. This place has been an outlet and has given me a purpose, I look forward to sitting down every Saturday and writing a post, it fills me with so much gratitude knowing that there are people out there who are reading my posts.

In the end, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved this year, it’s been a wild ride and sure even wilder because of the COVID, but let me tell you, this year woke me up, it trapped me in my house and gave me no excuses to use for me not writing and posting. This year woke me up and I would never cancel it in my life. I thank you all for reading my little story here. As usual if you want to get in touch with me about anything DM me. Stay safe from the COVID-19. Thank you again and I’ll see you all Monday.

GREAT PRETENDER: SCAMMING AND DEALING WITH TRAUMA

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I have no words for the brains put into this anime. I mean seriously the scams run in this anime are amazing.

The show runs on 2 sides you could say with one side showing the planning and running of the con and the other side showing the emotional pain and trauma that each person is going through during the con and how it effects the con. The anime is divided into 3 cases of which I will be spoiling most of the first one in here. Each focuses on one con and one character who goes through some trauma or change during the con. The first case has us meet Makoto a scammer who runs a few small scams in Japan with his friend to make money. Despite being a scammer however he decides to live simple and not spend money on lavish comforts of life. He tries to con a Frenchman tourist with a simple wallet switch but he finds out that the wallets were switched again and he’s the one who was scammed. Joining forces with the Frenchman who introduces himself as Laurent he takes up a challenge to make as much money as possible by selling candy. (At this point I thought it was ridiculous too) Laurent shows Makoto how he does things and how his plans work on a much grander scale than Makoto’s. Initially distrusting and not wanting to work with Laurent, Makoto instead takes on Laurent’s challenge and shows his cunning by doubling what Laurent was making off the scam initially. Getting into trouble due to his new scheme Makoto takes help from Laurent to complete the scam.

Throughout this we see flashbacks of Makoto’s past and how his relationship with his dad and his dad’s actions later on shaped his life. Makoto is shown as a tough guy ready to face the hardships of life. Finally when his life is shaken down to the very core Makoto turns to a life of crime to become a swindler and con people. Here we see a contrast between Laurent and Makoto as the former defines himself as a ‘confidence man’ and the latter as a ‘swindler’. Laurent is cool and calculated making his plans as much full proof as he can. He also leaves most of it up to chance playing gambles and showing that due to his luck they pay off. Makoto on the other hand runs street cons, he’s the guy who can get you out of a restraint without paying the bill but not the guy who can plan a 100 million dollar scam. We also see how kind and connecting Makoto is when he relates to the situation of one of the characters and helps them. The emotional side of things is almost always handled by Makoto because that’s the kind of character he is. Makoto develops through the case and in the end does something what some people would call stupid but what I call brave. In this way every case deals with one of the characters.

The art style is amazing in the anime being different from what I am usually used to but they still nail it. There’s some great music in the anime especially in Case 1 with some rap that I really loved. The story is fast paced with every little thing that happens having an impact on the main con and the pay-out. If you liked Death Note or some other mind games anime this is definitely something you should check out just for the sheer speed and cunning that the anime runs at. The anime hasn’t ended yet that’s for sure because there is still a lot more to come. There are 2 seasons on Netflix and both are great and the entire season 2 is a one whole case that wraps everything up and shows us the longest and best con that the gang has ever pulled off with support from everyone they have ever met and settling down things that happened years ago and shows us what happened to the entire crew after it and while all the seasons are great it leaves you with a longing for more.

The final message that I want to leave you guys with is something to think about, Laurent somewhere in the first case says that he only scams the filthy rich and corrupt, the ones that the law can’t or won’t touch. Laurent wants to expose the people while also making a nice payoff from it. So now I ask you this my dear readers, ‘Is it wrong or right of Laurent to use his scams? Is it truly wrong of him to scam the biggest criminals when he pays the restaurant bills? Is Laurent a hidden hero or just a scam artist who uses sweet words’. As for my take on it, I believe that the scam isn’t wrong but Laurent using the money for himself is. What do you think? DM me and tell me.

DANGANRONPA: PROOF WHY GAMES SHOULDN’T BE MADE INTO ANIME

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This anime is good until you move to Hope’s Peak High School season and you play the game to find out that it’s better to experience the original in game format.

I admit that I first experienced Danganronpa as the anime and I was pretty impressed by it but it left a lot of questions unanswered and a bunch of plot holes. The game resolves all these questions and turns out that playing is much more fun that just watching all the cutscenes of the game. Yes the anime is like all the cutscenes of the game put together with a few of the activities you do in the game animated. It’s much fun to investigate the case yourself and find the holes in the stories shooting them with truth bullets. The anime is amazing no doubt. It’s thrilling with a lot of mystery and it’s brutal to the highest extent. It’s good to watch the anime to get used to the feel of the game but I highly recommend the game.

The other part however the Hopes Peak High season has no game as much as I know. I don’t think that it could have been a game anyway because it’s more of the story driven kind of anime and there is more combat in it and it resolves everything from all the other Danganronpa games and finishes it well. The context however is gained by playing the games so again it circles back to the same point that the games need to be played to fully enjoy the anime.

Anyway now that I’m done with that let’s get into the real thing. The story is about a High School of the elite where students who are the best in their fields are called to study. There is another among them however who is chosen by a lottery and called the Ultimate Lucky Student. This year that kid is Makoto Naegi but as soon as he steps in he falls unconscious and then finds himself in a classroom. He joins the other students who are all Ultimate in their fields such as swimming and other things but the problem is that all the windows if the school are closed off and the gate is closed. The floors are also shut off so they only have their rooms and a few other places to go to at first. A sadistic, remote-controlled bear named Monokuma then contacts them and tells them that they will stay in the Academy for their entire lives and the only way to leave is to kill another student and not be identified for it. At first the students resolve not to kill each other but then a murder occurs and the students conduct an investigation. Naegi with his amazing deduction skills solves the murder. More murders occur and more floors open up. The plot gets deeper as to why the students are locked in who is the real controller of Monokuma and why no one is coming to rescue the students.

The anime is brutal and has many murders with different types of cases each time. Some of the cases will leave your mind spinning so get ready for a real mind blowing murder mystery story and let me tell you when the reasons of the students being locked up in the school are revealed you will be blown away. The ending is really satisfying as it’s the classic hero wins story but not without a lot of sacrifices. You could say that no one won in the end but you could also say that the surviving ones won and that it was the fight that mattered anyway. That’s all I have to say for Danganronpa, a game that needs to be played and the ending anime that needs to be watched. Let me know what you thought in my DM’s

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. Reviewing: The Alter Ego Effect

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This book is phenomenal, totally recommend it no matter who you are and what you are trying to achieve. I experimented a bit with the ides given in the book and have included it at the end.

The Alter Ego Effect By Todd Herman talks about the hidden hero inside each and every one of us. I get excited when people talk about things like ‘beating the enemy’ and ‘becoming the hero of your story’ so this book really spoke to me in a way that I had never imagined. The basic idea of the book is that each of us can create an alter ego that contains a quality that we want to hone or blocks out a quality that we don’t want to take with us on a specific job. The example is of a tennis player who is too kind and compassionate and when she wins games by a lot she starts deliberately playing bad so that her opponent can catch up a bit, what this did was lower her confidence when her opponent caught up and caused her to lose to opponents who were much inferior to her. Now what does this tennis player do? She creates an alter ego that is not compassionate but is dominant in the game, she lets the alter ego take over when she is playing and when she is in her regular life she switches back to her normal self. This might seem like fantasy to all of you but let me tell you I have tried it and it has worked. I’ll discuss that in a bit.

Another thing to love about the book is that it’s not like one of those ‘you can do anything’ type of books, it’s the ‘here is a method to help you get closer to your goal’ kind of book and that is why I instantly feel in love with it. The book not for a moment deviates from the practical tips it is giving to sell you some, ‘Remember you just need to believe.’ Thing, it stays true to itself till the very end. The book shows different stages of creating an alter ego by showing you different stories of real people, some of whom reveal their real identities while others do not due to privacy reasons. What’s the point here you ask? I can guarantee that there is at least one story in there which you relate to and once you relate you will dive deep into what the book is offering and create an alter ego and don’t think you don’t need one, no matter how developed each of us are we all need one someday.

The book doesn’t cover everything because obviously it would be all crammed them but Todd leaves links all over the book for you to follow and gather more insight on the tips and tactics in the book. The book talks about fear and how the Enemy within us is always pulling the strings of fear to keep us from becoming a better version of ourselves, or as Todd would say in the book ‘The Enemy keeps us from becoming the Hero and reach our Extraordinary World.’

Now let’s talk about my personal use of the technique. The first thing that I noticed is that I did this so much when I played video games, because I was always focused and accurate in games and do everything without missing a beat. This laser like super focus went unnoticed till I realized that I wasn’t even playing as myself when I played. Every time I create an account for games I always keep my name ‘Assassin’ or something similar, this is because I am deeply fascinated by the Assassin’s Creed games and I love Ezio. I saw that when I played I always acted and spoke like him while I wasn’t playing I was always distracted and goofing off. I also noticed this in the ‘Persona’ games which featured the characters having personas to use which grew as the characters themselves grew. What Todd called Alter Ego, I called Persona. I knew that I was already using a persona but I let the Assassin rest in the gaming space because Todd tells us to respect the sacred spaces of where we use our Alter Egos. I decided to channel the Death Note character Light Yagami to be more observant of people and my surroundings. Todd prescribed an exercise to order coffee or do something simple as your alter ego to get settled into it. The trigger that channelled me into Assassin was the controller so I kept a pen with me which I twirled in a specific motion to activate my ‘Light Yagami’ persona. It was different and I felt it. I noticed most of the things going on around me, things I wouldn’t normally notice. The thing to notice here is that if you’ve played the Persona games the MC had the wild card ability which gave them the ability to wield many personas, this is like our lives we already have our current personality now we can create new ones and mix and match according to situations like the Protagonist of the Persona games and still retain the person we are.

Now I’m not saying that this will magically give you all the powers you need but what this will do is give you a push, make you let go of your fear so that you can change yourself for a while. You won’t be a good investor by channelling Jeff Bezos you need to learn about investing but by channelling Jeff you’ll let go of the fear you had with investing and stop doubting yourself because the fear that speaks inside you won’t be speaking to your alter ego because it’s a different mind-set. I highly recommend this book to each and every one of you so please check it out.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. GOD EATER: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MEN TRY TO ACT AS GODS ?

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. First off I’m going to tell you that this anime is more like promotional material for the game consisting of the first parts of the game and the protagonist Lenka is normally your character or what you would play as. So if you’re a person who wants a full story do not watch this but if you’re someone who just wants some action, emotion and a few messages in 13 short episodes you’re welcome to enjoy.

The show begins by showing us Utsugi Lenka undergoing a procedure that will let him wield a God Arc weapons used to kill Aragami, creatures that have ravaged the earth and aim to destroy everything hence their name translation to ‘Violent God’. Lenka is a new-type which means he can use a God Arc which can perform both as a sword and gun. He enlists to train with his classmate Kouta but when Aragami attack, Lenka shows his determination to save the people and takes his God Arc to battle. Facing a Vajra, evolved Aragami that are much tougher to take down Lenka almost dies when he is saved by the 1st Unit, a group of God Eaters who are the best of the best consisting of Captain Rindou Amamiya (sword user), reckless and powerful Soma Schicksal (sword user) and Second in Command Sakuya Tachibana (gun user). Lenka is assigned to the first unit along with his friend Kouta (gun user) and they are later joined by mentally unstable Alisa Ilynichna Omela (new type). Banding together to go on missions and complete Project Aegis a mission to save humanity the anime shows the story of Lenka and 1st unit, the past and the creation of Aragami and a conspiracy that runs deep within the Fenrir Far East Branch the organization for which they work.

The anime has loads and loads of action for you to enjoy consisting of everything from killing Aragami with swords and guns to big Vajra and flying Aragami also fighting. The show has a different animation style which I won’t exactly call pretty but it’s sharp and has some good detailing. We are shown a lot of stuff but most importantly we are shown how Lenka grows throughout the show and how he also remains the same. He is mentored by Rindou and trained by him to uses his God Arc effectively and gives him reason to be a God Eater. There are also other who grow with Lenka helping each of them out with their personal struggles and helping them rediscover their reasons for becoming God Eaters. We also see the cruelty of the world and how people are focused solely on survival.

The anime also shares what happens when men try to act as God. We see how the Aragami were created and that is by Johannes (current Director of the Fenrir Far East Branch) and Paylor, 2 scientists who worked on Oracle cells and knew about the Aragami coming, though they alter repent for their sins by coming up with the God Arcs to help fight them their work isn’t shown to be over. Johannes pulls the strings from behind the scenes and still tries to play god while Paylor decides to be an observer and come up with a different solution. The Aragami are not true Gods but instead fakes created by humans and things created by humans have flaws, hence the need of God Eaters. This shows the flaw in human thinking.

The show also shares the message of hope with a compass that is passed down from person to person each one showing the other the way. We also see Lenka swear that if he isn’t able to exterminate the Aragami he will entrust hope to the coming generation. The compass which stays with Lenka throughout the series also shares a past with Rindou and Lenka’s family. The ending line ‘Someday you will be entrusted the hope’ signifies that everyone will need to act someday to inspire the future generation and people around them. Showing that everyone has a purpose the compass is symbolic to showing direction and when someone has it they can entrust it to someone who is lost so that they can find their way too.

The ending overall is satisfying and leaves you craving for more which you can only get by playing the game. There is also a great divide between Johannes and Paylor in the end with the last lines, ‘Will humans become gods?’ which signifies that Johannes wants humanity to evolve and be above the other races and reign supreme. ‘Will gods become human?’ asks the question that will the Aragami become intelligent enough to co-exist with humans showing that Paylor wants the Aragami to come to human level. In the end I only take the teaching from it which is that men cannot act as gods and that things created by men will always have flaws. If I were to choose between the ideologies of Paylor and Johannes I would go with Johannes let me know in my DMs what you will side with.

Rap section:

Monsters ravage the world who were supposed to be experiments,
Created by scientists who now runs things they’re arrogant,
My team has some mental issues I Leanka act as a therapist,
I take out these Aragami with my God arc while looking elegant.

Was gifted this life and this hope inside me by family,
Now I’ll tear apart all of those Aragami nastily,
Got a mentor who takes down Vajra so casually,
His only order to me and that is no casualty.

Those Aragami ravage it but I’ll protect our world,
I’m shining among my comrades like a white pearl,
I’ve seen too many things my mind is so whirled,
But to battle I’ll always be the first to hurl.

Every time I kill each victory tastes sweeter,
But every moment into my mind I dig deeper,
A way to save this world for that I’m a seeker,
Beware when I attack because I’m a god eater.

FUTURE DIARY: PSYCHOTIC LOVE, DESPAIR AND A SURVIVAL GAME

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I got one word for this Anime, Beautiful. That’s it, the post is over. I’m kidding but seriously though Future Diary is so dark and yet so beautiful at the same time I just had to talk about it.

So the story is about this guy Amano Yukiteru who’s in middle school and writes everything that happens around him in a diary on his phone. He soon learns that his friends God of Time Deus and his assistant Murmur are actually real and not just a dream. He gets the power to see the future entries in his diary and in turn decide to follow them or not. Each time he does something that’s not according to the diary the future changes and so do the entries. Yuki decides to use the diary to better his life but soon learns that there are 11 other diary keepers besides him who also have the power to see the future entries of their diaries. Yuki soon learns that a girl in his class also has a diary which notes everything that happens to him every 10 minutes. Why? Because she has been stalking him ever since they first talked. That might be scary but that’s how it always is in Future Diary, it’s one thing after the other and each one crazier than the one before. So anyway all the diary keepers are now in a survival game and must kill each other. The last man or woman standing would then be the winner and take the place of Deus as the next God of Time. Yuki decided to team up with Yuno and so the game begins. Sounds interesting right? Well it’s much more than that. There’s a whole other plot underneath this one which is revealed slowly over the course of the Anime.

Each and every episode has its own lessons should you look deep enough to find them and each and every time it looks as if the worst has come the next thing is even crazier and it goes on and on till the end. The anime also shows us great character development. I always love underdog stories and man Yuki was the underdog before he got the diary and at the end of the anime he’s shown to have grown quite a lot. The characters are good and all of them get a good amount of screen time. It’s enough to get you attached and make you cry after they die. Each and every one of the diary holders have their own struggles and their own reasons to become God. Despair is a major driving factor for them. There are non-diary holders as well and they aren’t useless and are actually more lovable, useful and drive the plot forward.

Another main focus is the relationship between Yuki and Yuno. Yuno knows Yuki well it but Yuki had no idea that he was being stalked so it becomes a complicated relationship. Yuki falls in a dilemma when he sees something horrible in Yuno’s house but decides to stay with her regardless. Yuno is shown to have 2 sides one of a more loving and caring side with Yuki and another ruthless and psychotic side when she is in combat. It basically becomes a question of ‘would you fall in love with a Yandere? And would you kill her after falling in love with her?’ if you want the answer to the second question then watch the anime and if you want the answer to the first then Yes. Yuki does fall in love with Yuno later on and their love is shown to actually run much deeper than we originally thought. Their love is a major factor to the underlying plot.

The series doesn’t shy away from murder either, showing us huge explosions, lots of shooting and swordplay as well. There are light moments as well to balance out all the murder and despair and mayhem that is in the series. The series has a good pacing and the light moments mostly consist of comedy or a lovable moment shared between Yuki and Yuno. The violence though sometimes reaches extremes and believe me a LOT of people are killed for the sake of the game and other reasons as well.

All in all the series is pretty good and a must watch. The ending is satisfying, though if you’re looking for something that isn’t romantic this isn’t the anime for you because love is a major theme of the story, it’s what drives the story forward and what caused the events in the anime to happen in the first place. Though it isn’t the kind of cheesy romance you would expect. It’s a sweet and crazy romance that anyone would like. Though I’m not sure it would wise to have that in real life. Anyway if you watch the anime DM me your thoughts and if you want me to watch something specific DM me that too. Oh and start keeping a diary who knows maybe you’ll get a future diary too.

I’m also adding a new rap section because sometimes I like to write lyrics for the characters and I want to share them. These aren’t too good but bear with me:

I’m just a quiet kid sitting on the sidelines,
Sitting all by myself in my blanket’s confines,
Got a future diary and now I’m dodging mines,
My life’s turned around and these are the signs.

My diary tells me everything before time,
It’s a survival game to the top its a climb,
This is all real it’s not even a pastime ,
Gonna win this game to be the God of space time.

Got a chick by my side and she’s ride or die,
And she’s been stalking me since junior high,
Promised her we’ll see the stars in a black sky,
Enemies come to hunt me and she’s my reply.

This games made me commit countless crimes,
I’ve shot at people and hit multiple times,
Turns out I’ve been doing this for two lifetimes,
Doesn’t matter cause I got Yuno for tough times.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider – MURDER, MYSTERY AND PHILOSOPHY

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This is by far the best mystery anime that I have seen. The murder and the excellent crafting of the mystery and the solving is just amazing.

Just a humble brag here but I pretty much figured out the mystery on my first try but the anime is just so brilliant that it led me to abandon that theory and then look for other theories. I thought that it was a simple murder mystery at first but I was wrong this is the PERFECT locked room murder and believe me you are going to have fun watching this. There’s a bit of boring stuff at first. Its philosophy about life, freedom and what it means to die. The plot picks up at Episode 3 but the first 2 are the introductions to the main characters they are: genius scientist Magata Shiki who has been locked in a room for fifteen years, next is genius Nishinosono Moe a girl who is good with numbers and wants attention from a student of her father Saikawa who is a programmer and also a sort of genius. These 3 have very different perspectives of the same thing thought Saikawa and Magata share some perspectives like an ideal world and the concept of what it really means to be alive.

The plot focuses on the murder of Doctor Magata Shiki who is a genius and an inventor. She is murdered and it falls on Saikawa and Nishinosono to solve the case. They are on an island where boats rarely come and they have no radio to contact the police. There isn’t any action in the anime like fights or stuff like that it’s pure mind games and once you get into it there’s no way you’re getting out before finishing. The 11 episodes are well spaced out and the writing is amazing. Though in the end there isn’t much character development rather the characters stories are revealed and they deal with their demons and come to terms with their situations. There are few tender and funny moments but they are placed at just the right places so it calms my heart right down.

There’s a lot of thinking and a really carefully crafted out mystery so get your paper and pen out and start writing those clues down even the smallest thing can help you solve the case. The case itself is solved very slowly with Nishinosono’s deduction skills and Saikawa’s unusual way of thinking. This too is compared in the anime with the 2 thinking very differently about the case and arriving at different conclusions of the same case and the same clues. I really liked Saikawa’s way of thinking which is logical, calm and collected. Nishinosono on the other hand is chaotic and solves cases with sudden bursts of creativity and thinking outside the box.

The philosophy of being alive shared by Magata Shiki is really something that could get you thinking then there’s the thinking that people are pure and kids and we get corrupted as we get old. Saikawa actually connect with Magata on that while Nishinosono believe that people grow with experiences and that’s what makes people alive. The ending also shares a nice line that I want to share “If people think that they know everything then people stop attempting to learn new things and if they don’t learn new things then they won’t grow”. I just find it so amazing that people can think about such things in anime and that such a nice lesson can be learnt from an anime.

The ending overall was really amazing with the case being solved and the Saikawa and Nishinosono leaving satisfied. The ending really shows that this case really had the perfect insider. The mystery is perfect. The thrill gets your heart racing and the thinking will make your head hurt. This should be a must watch for all anime fans no matter who you usually watch. This is a immediate watch recommendation for all. Also hit me up and tell me if you could figure out the mystery on your own or if you had theories of your own.

THINK LIKE A MONK: THE GUIDE TO LIFE THE WORLD NEEDS

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I am so excited for this post. I’ve been waiting a long time for this, first off the book was supposed to come out much earlier but COVID fucked things up and you cannot imagine the look of pure joy on my face when I got the book in my hands. I always was a big Jay Shetty fan. I dove deep and I’m going to share my realizations with all of you.

The book is a collection of teachings and a few stories from Jay Shetty’s personal life that provide context to how the teachings can be seen in practical use in life. The book also goes in chronological order starting with Jay’s first challenges when joining the ashram, his realizations when he got there and him putting to use all the teachings when left the ashram. The teachings themselves are condensed versions of the teachings the Bhagavad Gita and many other sources. Do not mistake the book to be something that will tell you to put on robes and shave your head, its actually quite different, and the book tells you all the realizations that one can have on their spiritual journey. Basically all the hard work has already been done, the people have been served, the introspection has been done and the teachings have been gained, all you need to do is apply the teachings into your life.

I got a physical copy as well as the audiobook version so that I can get into a full experience as if I was listening to a podcast even when I didn’t have the book. I suggest you to go with whatever one you are comfortable with. The book is an experience that you are meant to dive deep into. There are teachings and there are fun exercises in between for you to do so that you can feel like you’re participating in a class. The journey is absolutely phenomenal with the book giving you tons and tons of tips and advices. It’s a mindset change that people need and Jay Shetty provides just that. He talks about everything from how to live your purpose all the way to finding what you need in a relationship. Talking about love and work and how to get a balance in between them Jay really made sure that the book had something for everyone, even a teenager. There were times when I felt like I was immersed in the book because reading and listening at the same time is really something else.

My favourite teaching from the book is Varna and Dharma. Indians will probably know these 2 words as I thought I did but it turns out that these words have another meaning that I didn’t know about. Varna means what work you do or what kind of a person you are like a creator, leader etc. Dharma means your purpose, the work that you are meant to do in this world. Both go hand in hand because you need to know your Varna before you can love your Dharma. Jay actually says to experiment with different things and skills to see what we are good at and what we love to do. Combining passion and ability and using it to help the world makes up your Dharma. Most people never even realize their purpose in life because that’s not what we are taught in school, it depends on what culture you grow up in that decides what you will become. Some people realize their Dharma but don’t live it because they are too wrapped up in responsibilities and are too deep into something and don’t want to quit. Word of advice, ‘Dharma is a responsibility too’.

That’s all I have to say about the book please go out and get it or if your area is still in lockdown then stay at home and get the audio or e-book. Think like a monk is the mind-set change that the world needs and I can guarantee that you will get your money’s worth with this book.

WHY GENSHIN IMPACT IS TRENDING RIGHT NOW

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. You know it you’ve seen it all over the gaming outlet sources, maybe you’ve even played it but Genshin Impact is the trending game right now and here’s why.

First off the world is amazingly beautiful, I’ve only played the game on my phone and I’m in love with it. Some people say that it’s a copy of Zelda but I’ve never played Zelda so I can’t be the judge of that. The world is beautifully constructed with all the bushes being destructible, you can swing your sword at a tree to make the fruits fall and everything is climbable and I mean everything, every building every cliff, every wall. I am personally a fan of parkour and I love games that have climbing in them so this was a good plus point. Also you get a glider that can help you fly after you jump off a building or a high cliff but beware the amount of time you can spend in air is proportional to the stamina you have and you do not want stamina to run out at the wrong time. There are also water bodies like lakes which you can cross by swimming across or at least you can try to but if the stamina runs out, then God help you.

The story is about twins who are travelling the world but are interrupted by an unknown God and one of the twins is taken away you can choose which twin you want to play as though it doesn’t affect the gameplay at all. You team up with Paimon your very own personal travel companion and emergency food (the ones who have played the game will get this joke) so anyway you set out on a journey to find your sibling in the fictional world of Teyvat, you come across the city in the centre of the lake Monstad a nation that worships the wind God. You meet a lot of new characters who teach you different stuff like giving you a wind glider or teaching you how to mine metals to get stuff made from blacksmiths. The story progresses fast although many things that you do seem to have no significance to the quest to find your sibling but it’s all entertaining nevertheless.

The combat is great so great that it feels good even on mobile. I can’t wait to experience it on a console or on PC. The system is fluid allowing you to chain your elemental and weapon attacks. You can create a party of four that all have different elemental attacks so that you can change in between them to take enemies out. An example would be that you can use a water or cyro element attack to make enemies wet or freeze them then you can use your electric element attack to make them go into overload and explode taking away a chunk of their health. The elements can have uses in exploration as well, a lake that can’t be crossed due to the long distance of water can be crossed by using Cyro attacks to freeze the water and walking over it, if a cliff is too high you can use a wind user to create a wind gust and ride it up. It’s basically all about using the elements to make up for the low stamina.

The game has a Gacha system like many of the MMORPG’S but it’s very generous with its ‘wishes’ the currency used to summon characters or weapons. The weapons you use need to be upgraded over time to meet your level which you also need to upgrade and it’s not even challenging I’m a few hours into the game and I have 2 characters on Level 20 with a level 20 weapon. There is also an enhancement and refinement system that helps you better the weapons that you wield. Having a vast array of characters is also important as it will help you use a variety of different elemental attacks and weapon attacks.

In short Genshin Impact is an amazing game with good graphics and a gameplay mechanism that isn’t pay to play and it provides a fun engaging story too. The game makes sure that there are always awesome moments and also locks certain quests behind an Adventurer Level so that you explore the world and do the side quests which are equally engaging and fun as the main story. My advice is that you definitely need to play this game, It is free to play and available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android and iOS. The game is also planned for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Play it and tell me how you felt and if you ever want to form a party in my DM’s.

REVIEWING: HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I have been reading a lot of books in quarantine and How to win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie offers some really good advice on how to deal with the different types of people in the world.

The book speaks about the qualities that leaders need to have and the most important thing to remember when reading the book is that it is not ‘Fake it till you make it’ rather it tells people how to handle things and be genuine while doing it. Some people I feel really misunderstand the book and force themselves to follow the rules of the book without actually having any of genuine empathy or compassion for the other person. The book gives you basic and easy outlines such as ‘Don’t criticize, complain or condemn’ or ‘Give honest and sincere appreciation’. Emphasis on honest and sincere. The book goes deep into each of these basic guidelines providing you with stories and experiences of real people who took this course from the author Dale Carnegie himself. The wisdom in the book is really timeless and evergreen. These guidelines are so profound and yet so simple. I will discuss some points from the book right now.

My personal favourite was ‘Don’t criticize, complain or condemn’ because I personally connect with it the most. I think that I complain the most among my friends. You could give me a topic and I would rant on and on about it. Try it if you want to. DM me a topic on any of my social media and I for sure will write you a good rant about it focusing on all the negatives. I have heard these teachings any other places too especially in ancient Vedic texts which explain that one should control the tongue as it is the root cause of all arguments. Controlling the tongue is very difficult because we all are taught to speak our minds. What we weren’t taught is that we should consider who we are speaking to before opening our mouths. Teaching a donkey the physics of the universe is fruitless. Similarly we should consider who are speaking to and if they have the mental capacity to understand our words only then do we speak. Now that that’s out of the way let’s get to complaining and criticizing. A necessary skill is that I picked up is that we should never complain when we are in the heat of the moment. Because decisions made in emotions are always bad. Instead keep your mouth tight shut and let your anger cool off, then reflect on the situation and you will see that you won’t even want to complain anymore. Same for criticism and condemn.

Another point that I liked was ‘Give honest and sincere appreciation’. These points teach the 2 extremes of knowing when to speak and when not to. In this case you need to know what to speak. I never appreciated any work that I saw. Everything I saw was just another ‘thing’ to me. Practicing this was fairly easy. I’m sure this isn’t the way it’s meant to implemented but when scrolling through your Instagram feed or explore page, when you like something don’t just leave a 100 emoji or a thumbs up instead just type a few words about what and why you liked the post. This gives the creator a genuine smile on their face (Trust me I have experienced that feeling). When we just press the like button because it’s ‘whatever’ we’re actually hindering our ability to see the good in other in real life. A way to practice this in real life is when you see someone or when someone shows you their work, find a thing that you genuinely like and point it out that it was done great. Even if you are shown a video that was horrible, irrelevant, or some other mess up but if you see that the text animations are well done, point it out and then tell them what’s wrong with the other things. Remember as Dale says in the book don’t use ‘but’ after the compliment use ‘and’. The word ‘But’ often makes people feel that the praise isn’t genuine.

The book is definitely a must read for all people. It’s basically a guide to life in the most pure way possible with tons and tons of examples that you can personally connect to. I highly recommend the book so please check it out and send me your realizations after you read it.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. RENT A GIRLFRIEND: LOVE, GROWTH AND A LOT OF COMEDY

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. I don’t really watch anime or anything that focuces on romance because I feel it doesn’t click with me but after watching this one I think I’ll be diving more into the romance genre. Fair warning I’m going to spoil the first episode here.

The story is basically about a college student named Kazuya who gets dumped by his girlfriend Mami after a month of dating. That desperation leads him to visit a site that lets anyone rent a girlfriend. Out of desperation Kazuya pushes the button and meets Mizuhara Chizuru as his date who is extremely pretty (or as Kazuya would put it an S level hottie) and way out of his league. After an initial date Kazuya decides to rent Chizuru again only to make her meet his family. Comedic events erupt as Kazuya’s grandmother begins shedding tears of joy on seeing Chizuru. Later on it is revealed that Kazuya’s grandmother is friends with Chizuru’s grandmother and Chizuru can’t tell her grandmother about her job. To cover up their lie Kazuya and Chizuru decide to pretend to be dating infront of their families. This leads to a lot of comedic events as Kazuya getting in more trouble. Eventually more girls get involved which include Kazuya’s ex Mami, Surashina Ruka and shy girl Sumi Sakurasawa.

The lies that Kazuya tells to his family and friends lead him to getting into deeper and deeper trouble and develop his relationship with Chizuru. The show shows how the struggle of keeping up appearances leads people to ruin. The show also dives into the themes of love (Obviously) and what it truly means to love someone. It also shows Kazuya growing from a total to wimp to somewhat of a less wimp. There aren’t drastic changes in him but eventually after doing a lot of stupid things he tries to fix things and mans up. Though Kazuya is shown to be extremely stupid in the show and be a regular at jumping to conclusions without getting the whole story we later see that Kazuya actually cares for his friends and if times get desperate he will stand up for his friends or rental girlfriend. The show isn’t that deep until the later parts of the show as the beginning focuses on comedy and Kazuya getting into trouble by showing off. There is some adult humour as well with Kazuya being a pervert at times and ranking girls as ‘a hottie on equal footing with Chizuru’. The show sets up things for disaster one after the other perfectly without any irrationality. The perfect writing helps show that any of the girls involved are not there ‘just cause’ but they actually have a reason for being there.

The thing that the show focuses most on is ‘What it truly means to love someone’. I’m not experienced in love so all I’m going to say about that is love is something that comes natural to the person and it’s when you’re with a person and you want to grow together and face challenges together. The relationship between Chizuru and Kazuya shows exactly that as they both deal with the troubles that they get into together and due to her compassionate nature Chizuru doesn’t leave Kazuya though she very well could. It could be said that the 2 fall in love without realizing it though Kazuya later on does search his feelings and sees that he actually is falling for Chizuru thus giving the show a forbidden love kind of vibe too.

The ending of the anime is good enough I already knew there would be a season 2 so I wasn’t expecting much but there but the ending really is good. I would have preferred if they let it stay till the part before the post credits scene because that’s what I liked but then they extended it and it turned out to be better than ever. The ending just shows that there is more to come because obviously Kazuya’s story isn’t coming to an end anytime soon with all the mess that he is in. The ending also puts stress on life moves on and I suppose that season 2 will be on a more serious note than season 1 because of the tone that they set at the end. I’m fairly excited for season 2, let me know in my DM who you think the best girl was in the show.

SERAPH OF THE END: MONSTERS, VAMPIRES AND BROMANCE

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. The story is confusing, the plot is all mixed up but you can’t deny that the bromance in this anime is the thing that makes it stand apart from others.

The story is set in a world where a deadly virus has broken out and it kills everyone leaving only children below the age of 13 alive. Vampires ascend to the world and claim the world keeping the humans as blood reserves. They would provide the humans with food and shelter and in return they would need to give their blood for the Vampire’s drinking. The story follows 2 kids from an orphanage Yuichiro and his friend and fellow orphan Mikaela. They are being kept underground and are not allowed to go to the outside world believing that there is nothing there but death and destruction but as is the story our heroes want to go out. Sound a little familiar? Yeah that’s because it’s a lot like Attack on Titan but with a little more fun and light hearted scenes in between. There are dark moments in the anime but it doesn’t compare to Attack on Titan so if you’re looking for some light bloodshed, good fighting, a cast of good characters and a good bromance this is the anime for you. It’s vampires so there is obviously a lot of bloodshed and apart from that our main characters also face a lot of demons which now roam the surface of the earth.

The story is more about Yuu and Mika (short for Yuichiro and Mikaela) finding each other and being reunited after one thought that the other was dead. It shows that how even after changing a lot Yuu accepts Mika as he is and doesn’t turn his back to him. Mika shows a lot of wit and planning from his childhood . He is willing to bow to others if it gets the job done and he’s ready to slice their heads off when the job is done too. Yuu on the other hand shows development becoming a bit of a contrast from his childhood self. He learns to take responsibility and wants to help others and not just himself. They are basically apart for most of the anime with Mika’s sole goal being to find Yuu. They finally reunite in a heart touching scene near the end of the anime.

Now let’s talk about the combat which is pretty good in my opinion. It uses swords and other weapons like bows and axes. They’re not normal weapons either, humanity uses weapons which have demons inside them and bond with the demons to control them and use the weapons. This is shown in Yuu’s relationship with the demon inside his sword Asuramaru. The demons bring out the greatest fear inside the people and manifest them as visions, if the wielder is able to be beat the visions and conquer his fear, a contract can be formed between the wielder and the demon and the weapon can then be used. Yuu sees a vision of Mika and though seeming defeated at first wins in the end showing his great determination and the desire for revenge. Though Yuu wants revenge on the vampires for his childhood he manages to control it but over the course of the anime slowly loses his control and then lets it consume him so that he can be more powerful. He is shown to desire nothing more than power because of his nasty childhood. The monsters and vampires make for great enemies and combat never gets boring.

The plot is solely driven by the bromance of Yuu and Mika and if you don’t want it then don’t watch this anime however if you are open to the idea then by all means enjoy. I personally think that it was pretty good and it’s not shown so much that it’s shoved down your throat but still it’s the sole reason both Yuu and Mika fight. The anime doesn’t give a good conclusion though leaving us on a cliffhanger and leaving many unanswered questions from the story which you need to read the manga to get answers of. Personally this is more of an anime that you watch when you’re just bored and need something to watch. Don’t expect a master piece and don’t ask too many questions about the story just sit back and relax. My opinion on this one is watch at your own risk because if you’re a curious person you’ll have a lot of manga to read to understand the story.

UNFRIENDED – THE HORRORS OF THE DARK WEB

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. This one was exhilarating my heart was beating so fast the entire time I cannot describe it in words. It’s also sad I guess but I think that the violence gets your heart pumping and gets you excited more than sad.

The movie is confined to the screen of a laptop. The characters are on a video call with each other so we also see other locations but the camera never once leaves the screen of the laptop. The story follows a guy Matais who has a stolen laptop. There are already a bunch of accounts on it which he ignores at first and instead accesses his own accounts to talk to his friends and his deaf girlfriend. At first sight Matais is actually a really caring guy he developed an app so that he could talk to his deaf girlfriend in sign language. We don’t get to dive much into any of the other characters just that one of them is skilled at computers, another is a conspiracy theorist, 2 lesbian girlfriends and a DJ. The characters are not at all just there each of their characteristics are used against them throughout the movie.

The characterization of Matais is really well done in the short time of the movie we see that he’s caring and that he tries to do the right thing and fight against the hacker through the movie. He’s shown to be desperate when things come to saving his friends and especially to his girlfriend. Over the course of the movie he gets desperate but also manages to maintain a cool head and uses tricks to get the hacker off him even if it’s for a while. Things get intense when the killing starts and boy is it good. The sheer number of ways and the cleverness of the killings are amazing. There are a lot of twisted things and if it’s definetly not for the weak hearted. The movie also doesn’t shy away from violence rather makes it a core theme for the progression of the plot.

The way the movie plays out also phenomenal it’s smart as hell. Nothing doesn’t make sense. There is a lot of hacking involved and a bunch of computer stuff but in the end you could say that there’s the biggest twist of all at the end. It’s dark and it’s twisted with not a light moment in between. Once the action starts it just keeps on going. The violence and the clever little mind games are well and good to get your heart pumping and keep you at the edge of your seat.

The movie you could say is more about violence and how an innocent little sin can turn into something huge and how some people are so sick that they enjoy violence that they do to innocent people. The horrors of the Dark Web are also shown here and it focuses heavily on cyber security and that kind of stuff. The movie should be used as more of a warning to keep our stuff protected and not go places where we aren’t supposed to go.

The ending is exhilarating though sad if you sit with it for a while but the film is basically a lesson and an hour and half rush for your blood. It’s good, cleverly made, has good characters and also has a moral. Overall I think that if you’re looking for a quick watch at night with no loose ends left you should for sure watch this movie. However if you’re the type that gets disgusted quite easily then I think you better sit through it with someone. This movie is a perfect pick for a thrill before bed but beware it might make you paranoid or even instill fear in your heart.

REVIEW OF THE 12 RULES FOR LIFE

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. Been a while since I reviewed a book. Often times people say that their lives are chaotic and Jordan Peterson’s new book gives us an antidote to this chaos in life. His ideas and teaching which are a mixture of old and new are relevant to each situation of life.

His rules are very basic such as ‘Stand up straight with your shoulders back’. The very core thing about posture which we often ignore but the examples given by Jordan in the book are phenomenal which show us that posture plays a role even in the animal kingdom. Posture shows what type of a person you are and the first impression you make on a person is how you stand. The way it is explained in the book is by the use of lobsters. Unbelievable right? Well that’s what I thought too but by observing the social hierarchy of lobsters and the phycology of humans Jordan teaches this important value that can help people everywhere in life in every situation. Your posture shows your nature and confidence if you keep that good people will take notice and if you look back in your life you’ll find examples about that.

Another rule told in the book is ‘Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don’t’. This deals with arrogance of people and how the ego makes people think that they’re always right and that everyone else is wrong. If you stop listening you’re not going to learn anything new and if you don’t learn anything new the information you have will grow obsolete. This is taught by multiple examples by Jordan in the book.

The best thing that I liked about the book is that Jordan doesn’t hesitate to show where he’s gotten his research from. Most people won’t write about religious things in order to show that they’re ‘secular’ and ‘progressive’. Jordan just straight up quotes the bible in each and every chapter and reading those I realized that those teachings aren’t as different from the Vedic teachings that I study myself just a side note. The bible isn’t quoted out of context either, each and every thing is given context of, the before and after story is explained so no one can say that Jordan just picked out the parts that appealed to his purpose the most.

The philosophy that Jordan puts out in his book isn’t afraid to go the dark side of things. The gruesome stories of Cain from the bible and even some painful moments from Jordan’s own life are shown in the book and it will pain your heart when you read them but you won’t let it affect you because immediately after that Jordan talks about the concept of Suffering and how every person’s suffering is defined and that every one gets what they deserve according to their own deeds. There is a lot to talk about but I just don’t want to give away all the content of the book so I’ll stop here.

The book isn’t all ‘follow these rules and become a successful person’ type instead it’s about 12 rules that can help you in your life they won’t do the work for you but if you use the rules the work will become easier. Definitely get the book it will change your life if you apply it in your life and make life easier for yourself. Check out the book and tell me what you thought about it.

So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this.  Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn with your thoughts and if you have any ideas which I should write about. SAO ALICIZATION LYCORIS: IS IT WORTH IT?

Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe from the COVID-19. It’s time for a post on games most importantly the recently released Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris. I noticed that the game has been getting a lot of negative reviews so I am here to give my views on the game and take care that I have invested many hours into the game before writing the post. I also am a big Sword Art Online fan so that helped me in knowing what to expect and what not.

GRAPHICS & PERFORMANCE
The graphics are fire and I mean FIRE. They’re good even on the lowest settings. I couldn’t run the game on max settings but I ran it on high and it still looked good. There are different types of terrains that can be explored and they come with different enemy types. There are mountains, lush forests, sandy deserts, small villages and the bustling Capital. Most of the map is locked till Chapter 2 of the game. There were a few bugs at first that caused the Frame Rates to fluctuate quite a bit but then I found a mode that locked the Frames at 30 and the game ran smooth when I used it. The loading times were also very long at times but it wasn’t something unbearable. I just looked up tips on my phone while it loaded.

CHARACTERS

The first character you meet is obviously everyone’s favourite Eugeo and because the story follows the anime for the first chapter there are all the characters from the anime like Liena, Ronie, Tiese along with Alice and Bercouli. You unlock the characters from the outside world like Asuna, Leafa and the others girls after the first chapter. There’s a new character called Medina in the game who keeps the story of the first chapter fresh by giving us something new to see. She is also a VERY important charcter. The voice actors are really good and the character models are also really well done.

STORY

The story is the thing that makes Lycoris a good game and a bad game. The first chapter covers the first season of the Alicization anime and after you complete it the story goes off on its own route. The good stuff and most of the characters also get unlocked after Chapter 1. You could call Chapter 1 an hours long tutorial that teaches you all the mechanics of the game and then tells you to use it all to defeat the Administrator. Then there’s a different story that I won’t spoil here. The first chapter, I am really sorry to say is very poorly paced. There are moments like Medina’s story and the ending of Chapter 1 which contain just way too much dialogue and not enough action. It could be made better by including a few duels in between like at the end of Chapter 1 I would have loved to play a duel between Asuna and Alice when Asuna first meets Alice. There are also some moments like the tournament where they could have explained the duelling mechanism and pitted us against characters to win the tournament. Regardless the story is actually a lot of fun if you agree to let go of these few mistakes.

COMBAT

The combat is the main reason I got the game. I personally wanted to experience the dual wielding and when they let us have it just as the game started, I just was loved it. There’s a while after that when you get to fight again but every moment of combat is enjoyable. I faced level 15 enemies with a Level 10 Kirito, Eugeo and Liena and won because I understood the soul linkage mode early on. The soul linkage mode is basically a mode that allows you to give commands to your allies and mastering that is IMPORTANT. There’s passive skills and battle skills after that and then there’s the iconic sword skills too. All this makes the menu a little hectic and a lot to keep up with it at first but you grow into it after a little practice. There’s many sword skills and you can pick out your best 4 and switch them out at any time to suit your playstyle. You also need to keep assigning skills to your party characters. The grinding is also FUN because the combat is so fast paced and lovable. There’s also duel mode which is one on one combat and used mostly in boss fights. The thing that I was worried about was the Sacred Arts and they incorporated it pretty good in the game allowing you to generate all different kinds of elements and use them for different purposes. The combat is essentially a hit once you understand the system

CONCLUSION

Lycoris has a lot of potential and with the bug fixes it is truly a great game that gets a few things wrong. The other critics I believe were too hard on the game as to fully judge the game you should at least complete Chapter 1 and you must be willing to sit through a ton of dialogue and cut scenes. Watching the anime and being familiar with the story also helps as you can skip most of the cut scenes then. In my opinion Lycoris is a great game that did things a bit different and made a few mistakes but is definitely worth it if you’re a long standing fan of the series or if you just want some great swordplay. I’ll give the game a solid 9/10.
