Hey guys what is up welcome back to my blog I’m so thankful that you guys took the time out of your day to read my blog post. Hope you all are safe and healthy. I wanted more Wotakoi and the manga is the best thing for it so I dived straight in. fun, light-hearted, and even emotional at times, Wotakoi is good. MINOR SPOILERS.

Narumi Momose who has just joined a new workplace is an otaku who likes to keep her habits secret from other people due to fear of being ridiculed. She runs into a childhood friend Hirotaka Nifuji at her new workplace. Hirotaka is a gamer who is open about his habits unlike, Narumi. Narumi is also friends with cosplayer Hanako Koyanagi who goes to the same office and Taro Kabakura who she is dating. The story is about these 4 characters navigating their day-to-day life while keeping up with their otaku habits and maintaining their own relationships.
The manga of Wotakoi is the same as the anime as in the romance is not between characters that are growing but rather between fully grown adults trying to fit in with their partners. It is hard to change as an adult and that is what this manga showed well. The characters do have small little changes throughout the course of the story but they remain majorly the same and do not change and while that may, make some people think that this manga is bad, it actually isn’t it’s good because of that. There’s not much to say about the characters, they’re well written, fun to watch in their antics, and together make the story one that can make you smile.
The romance in this anime isn’t typical either because normally romances are set in high school and involve teens who are still developing since the characters in this anime are all working adults the story is different and moves differently from a normal romance. The manga really expands upon how these working adults have to adjust to dating into their already busy lives all the while being otakus who want to enjoy stuff on their own too. The office romance might be really unrelatable for some people but I liked it and it was fun to read, though it’s really a hit or miss for everyone else. The characters all get a resolution to their relationships and understand each other throughout the manga which is really satisfying.
All romances are not the same, that is something that I learned from this anime. Even the two couples shown in the anime are all different in how they interact. One is new and moves slow and the other is all developed and moves differently. The reason I pointed this out as a takeaway from this is that people usually always look at other couples (usually celeb couples) and try to mold their own relationship in that image which fails miserably most of the time because every relationship is different and unique to their own pace.
The manga has 112 chapters in 6 volumes and is a delight to read when you just want to relax and have fun. The characters are all fun and while Wotakoi is a series that is aimed at working adults, I’m sure that other people can enjoy it as well. The nice concept, good comedy and slice-of-life moments, the nice portrayal of the relationship between the characters, and plenty of cute moments, Wotakoi remains a 7/10 even in the manga.
So that is it for this post guys hope you got some value from this. Thank you guys for reading to the end hit me up on Instagram and Twitter with your thoughts and if you have any ideas on what I should write about. Stay safe. Thank you again and I’ll see you all next week.
